I wonder if "The Cure" was originally recorded for the movie as one of Ally’s pop songs, but then they ultimately decided to make it one of Gaga’s own singles to try to capitalize on the momentum from the Super Bowl performance? I watched the movei this weekedn and I kept thinking of The Cure when she sang those poppy songs LOL |

I think TFM's deluxe edition counts for The Fame, so unless the standalone EP gets a bump, it's not gonna re-enter on it's own.

So went to see this yesterday and liked it! However, it wasn't as good as a movie than I thought (not having seen the previous adaptations) and certainly do NOT hope that this will win an Oscar for best picture because it's far from "best picture" I've seen this year. It's solid though and I usually go to see horror, thriller and drama movies and not strictly built for Hollywood type of films. Might see it again soon as I focused on Gaga quite a lot lol
Speaking of which, Gaga and Cooper were outstanding, can't believe how good they were doing all the songs "live" for the movie. Sam Elliott was also brilliant!
It's ridiculous to compare this to Titanic, it will never become a phenomenon Titanic was, it's more like La La Land type of thing.

I loved the movie, but see it as more of a Golden Globe winner than an Oscar winner. Though I think it has potential to pick up Oscar nominations for Bradley Cooper (in Director and / or Actor) and a nod for sound and song.
