Omgness. I never really paid any attention to pix of SOPHIE until I saw that article above. I did not know she was trans. I'm excited to see she's collabing with Gaga. We need more midtempo dance tracks from her. Be humble & bring it Godga!

According to early reviews, there's a song on A Star Is Born, the last song, that could become her own "I Will Always Love You". It's that powerful apparently.

I don't doubt that she will have a big powerful ballad... but it isn't gonna be anywhere close to as big as even "I Have Nothing". Ballads like that don't smash unless you're Adele. |

Also, to make a claim as big as the one above about Gaga have an IWALY - that’s not a light claim to make and I’m skeptical so...they better avoid saying it unless they’re 110% certain. |

It's like when artists, music producers or video/film directors talk up a project and/or an artist they worked with on a project. It eventually gets released it kinda falls flat because expectations are so high.
Or how most artists finish recording an album and say "it's my best work yet" and then it kinda fizzles right out of the gate. Whether it's good or not, public opinion makes or breaks things, and sometimes stuff just doesn't do well regardless of hype or how much passion went into it.
That said, if she's even average in the movie she'll definitely get a Golden Globe nomination in the Musical/Comedy category - that's a fairly safe prediction. Oscar? That's a lofty prediction unless she's REALLY good.
Based on the trailer alone, I personally feel like a lot of awards attention could go to Bradley. Maybe he'll pull off the producer/director/actor trifecta.
