'I Must Not Chase The Boys' is a single by Swedish teen-pop girl group Play, released as the lead single from their sophomore album 'Replay'. The band never saw much success outside of their native Sweden, and while the music video for this single did receive support on TRL it did not chart. The Thunderpuss remix speaks to an attempt to broaden the band's appeal with the song featuring a pop-rock sound and more mature imagery.

Top 10 losses for myself and Ty, additional top 20 losses for Ginger Spice and Mic Technique. Ky ditches a bottom 10 ranking.

'Love Is A Crime' is a single by American singer Anastacia, released to support the soundtrack for the film adaptation of the musical 'Chicago'. The single suffered from a lack of support due to Anastacia's first battle with breast cancer (the music video was filmed while she was sick). With its remixes by Thunderpuss and Norty Cotto, the song did top the Billboard club charts.

Albie has the misfortune of suffering from the first #1 loss, and another of my top 10's is taken down with it. Bottom end rankings dropping out from bat1990 and Ginger Spice.

I wanted to like the Kina track, but the 'Me' remix sounds awkward to me. It's below the original.

The remix of Play by JLo is good but I expected more from a Thunderpuss mix. The original is one of my favorite JLo songs (much thanks to Miss Milan). It’s not the best mix of the song, nor is it the best remix they did for JLo (but not the worst either, that would be Alive).

I Must Chase the Boys is a cute song, but the mix really takes it to the next level. Neither of the Anastasia mixes did anything for me. It might be that I wasn’t as familiar with the original songs beforehand, but they both just felt like run-of-the-mill TP mixes to me.

'Sometimes' is a second single from Britney Spears' debut album 'Baby One More Time'. The song was not as successful in the US as her debut, but internationally it was still a major piece of Britney's launch to pop superstardom. This was one of Thunderpuss' first remix productions, displaying the over-the-top dramatics that would become a staple of the Thunderpuss sound.

People were split right down the middle with this song, as almost half of us ranked it high, while there are just as many low rankings (including bat1990's #40).

'Lady Marmalade' (originally by Labelle) was re-made with an all-star line-up to support the soundtrack for the Baz Luhrmann film 'Moulin Rouge'. The remake proved to be a massive smash hit, racking up #1's around the world. When remixed by Thunderpuss for the clubs it didn't quite manage to add to the tally, but was still a club hit with a #3 peak.

It is bat1990 who becomes the second person to lose his #1, with further top 10 losses for Albie and Ty. Bottom 10 losses come from Ky, Mic Technique and Mirago.

'Song For The Lonely' was the second single from Cher's 24th studio album 'Living Proof' (and the lead US single). It was dedicated to 'the courageous people of New York' by Cher, who felt the song's lyrics took on greater significance following 9/11. While not a major commercial success it topped the Billboard club charts with remixes by Thunderpuss, Almighty and Illicit among others. Thunderpuss produced two remixes; their main club mix, and the Sunrise mix which featured a slightly more melancholic production and chord choices.

Only one top 10 loss (Albie) while the lowest ranking (Mic Technique) is only barely in the bottom 10. Most of us put this mix in our teens.

21 - Anastacia - Live Is A Crime
This is a really fun club version of the already good song. I knew this version before hearing the original.

20 - Britney Spears - Sometimes
This is a brilliant transformation of a middle of the road Pop song. I love all of the massive buildups and breakdowns. The insane looping of the "you're the only, you're the only one for me" is done so well. One of the local stations played this in their mixshows a lot around the time this came out.

19 - Eurythmics - 17 Again
WOW. The mild mannered song is transformed into a massive epic. The build up with Annie's "seventeen" phrases first from the chorus and then from the later part when she does it at a higher note is so creative. I love the alternate Vicious Queen Dub too.

I loved Peter Rauhofer's mixes of this too. Easily one of my favorite mixes from him.

Interestingly enough, Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart didn't like either set of remixes so they were never ever commercially released. It's such a shame.

18 - Christina, P!nk, Mya, and Lil Kim - Lady Marmalade
Loved the original and the mix was good. I don't revisit this one that much. I still prefer the original.

17 - Taylor Dayne - Naked Without You
This is another massive mix. The original is pleasant, but this remix is everything!

The song was in a different time signature for its original version so Thunderpuss had Taylor go into their studio and re-record the vocals for the remix. They also got Pepper MaShay (credited as Jean McLain) to do backing vocals and alternate hooks for the mix. Pepper's vocals can be clearly heard on those "Naked! Naked!" loops in the intro and throughout.

16 - Cher - Song For The Lonely
Amazing, uplifting song. I have grown to like and appreciate this particular Thunderpuss mix over time. Barry did a brand new mix of this last year.

When this was a single, I was a big fan of the Almighty mix. This was one of the few times that it wasn't an overproduced, cheesy sounding mix. One could almost say that was like an extended version of the original with some additional elements. I generally liked most if not all of their Cher mixes.
