It seems early to drop this remix album if theyre not releasing a remix and are still plan on releasing songs from the main album. I’m guessing they have some sort of plan cause this could get messy.

I believe the remix album is just a side project she wanted to release. The whole album campaign will run until 2022, so hopefully she'll release one more single from the album (praying it's Levitating) before she drops the B-side of it.

I feel like it’s even more weird and awkward when one of the guest artists makes an appearance and the other doesn’t. I was not expecting to see Missy in it after seeing that Madonna was not Yep, I agree 100%. It would have been much better to have all guests artists appear or none at all. It just seems lame with Madonna not bothering to appear despite Dua literally naming the remix after her. I'm a little confused, is this even an official single now? It doesn't appear to be getting any airplay when searching on the kworb radio page, plus BMH is still gaining and just about peaking, so it might not be the best time yet. The remix itself is alright, but its sped up tempo and generic dance-clubby production seems to basic even for pop radio these days. It all just seems messy and not very well thought-out.

The Blessed Madonna is a separate artist, so no, the remix isn't named after Madonna. 2. Madonna is recovering from an injury / might not have felt like doing the video while Missy had already signed on to doing it. The Blessed Madonna didn't appear in the music video either. 3. This is obviously not getting airplay on kworb, because 3a. it has not been sent to radio. 3b. it is not airplay-friendly, as it has 3 women, 2 of them are legacy acts, doing a dance-pop track. if "rain on me" stalled at #10 after hitting #1 everywhere else, I don't see radio giving this song a chance.
4. its production is "dance-clubby" because... it is... a dance club remix. the project is called Club Future Nostalgia.

This is distracting from the real album and she’s only 2 singles deep. It would have made much more sense to release another single, do a re-release with new material and then the remix album, it’s not like we can do much with a remix album right now anyway. Plus animated videos... This era is starting to feel messy.

In terms of streaming equivalents, since the Blessed Madonna remix has been announced as pat of an upcoming remix album, do its streams count towards Future Nostalgia the way a normal remix would, or are they separated because its technically a first "single" from a different body of work?

As for the rest of what you're saying, yes, I agree those are all impediments to it becoming a hit, so are you saying it's not planned as an official radio single?

From what I understand, the Club Future Nostalgia project will have its own run on the BB200 (of it even charts) but the songs will likely be combined with original versions for the Hot 100. Didn't know about the Blessed Madonna, that's kind of confusing I guess, also didn't know Madonna was injured. As for the rest of what you're saying, yes, I agree those are all impediments to it becoming a hit, so are you saying it's not planned as an official radio single? I obviously don't know what their "plans" are with this, but so far, it has not been promoted to radio. I'm still hoping for the Normani collab to be the next international single but the whole "Hallucinate"/"Levitating Remix" thing, all the while "Break My Heart" is still #2 in the US, has been very confusing. I guess we'll find out soon.

I’m most looking forward to the Physical remix on the sole fact that Mark Ronson remixed it and I’ve loved his productions over the past few years.

Basing my thoughts on the tracklist alone, the "Physical" mix is the most exciting thing we haven't heard yet. I wonder if Future Nostalgia Side B is still happening and we get the original versions of the new remixed tracks. I was kinda hoping "If It Ain't Me" was popping up here.
(Also lmao at them including old ass "Kiss and Make Up", get those Blinks to stream!).
Btw imagine how many iconic performances we missed due to the pandemic. She did several great ones of DSN in the shortened window between it's release and lockdowns. Still want some sort of iconic "Physical" live performance at some point, please.

Although the album is a continuous mix, the remixes are going to be released separately too.
