Although the album is a continuous mix, the remixes are going to be released separately too. This is what I was hoping for; considering a few songs have mixes placed back-to-back on the tracklisting, I could see the mixed versions being a half-and-half take (ie. the first half of one, mixed into the second half of the other in the mixed set version). This way we still get the full versions of each mix. Was lowkey hoping there would be a remix of 'If It Ain't Me' with Normani tbh.

Basing my thoughts on the tracklist alone, the "Physical" mix is the most exciting thing we haven't heard yet. I wonder if Future Nostalgia Side B is still happening and we get the original versions of the new remixed tracks. I was kinda hoping "If It Ain't Me" was popping up here. (Also lmao at them including old ass "Kiss and Make Up", get those Blinks to stream!). Btw imagine how many iconic performances we missed due to the pandemic. She did several great ones of DSN in the shortened window between it's release and lockdowns. Still want some sort of iconic "Physical" live performance at some point, please. Side B is still happening and Love is Religion & That Kind of Woman are also really really great from what I've heard from leaks

Didn't know about the Blessed Madonna, that's kind of confusing I guess, also didn't know Madonna was injured. As for the rest of what you're saying, yes, I agree those are all impediments to it becoming a hit, so are you saying it's not planned as an official radio single? Levitating the original will be sent to US radios later on Yup!

I'm aware that it was Dua's birthday and the restrictions have been relaxed in the US, but I think it was irresponsible from her part to throw a party without any social distance protocol or masks. https://www.instagram.com/p/CEPsUkFs-1w

I agree. I'm assuming something like this was in place: www.nytimes.com/2020/08/16/style/does-rapid-covid-testing-work-weddings-parties.html?smid=tw-nytimes&smtyp=curIt's still quite irresponsible to do this and publicize it. If she were in the UK, where things are sort of going back to normal, it wouldn't have been too bad but Los Angeles is a hotspot right now, so I don't think the risk is worth taking. Many comments to the post are from frustrated fans like us, it seems.

Let's hope rapid COVID-19 tests were done, but they aren't 100% trustworthy to be honest because they could give false positive or false negative results.

Regarding the party, to be fair to Ms. Lipa I feel like at least 75% of the US population has basically given up on containing the virus.
I am not in any way making excuses for it, but I don't expect any sort of major outrage since a lot of people are basically pretending everything is fine and back to normal.
It's very stupid to post something like that on social media tho.

• Mixed version: 8/28 • Unmixed version: 9/4
I don't know why both of them couldn't be released at the same time, but I assume it's because the continuous mix will give a proper vision of the remix album, so it's better to listen to it without any skips. As a side note, TikTok is teasing something and, apparently, the visuals of the mixed version will be premiered there (like The Weeknd did a concert in this platform early this month).

Idk I understand the timing. If Levitating really is the next single (which it seems like it is) then why would she release a new crop of songs right before giving it a push? My guess is she is releasing the remix album just for fun, Levitating will (hopefully) get a proper push, then she will release the deluxe/side B which will probably contain her next single.

I can guarantee none of the tracks from this remix album will be properly pushed. it's all just for the fans really. Levitating is the forefront US single for a while

So why not wait until after the deluxe to do a remix album (next summer) for the fans? That would have made more sense. Levitating should have been released already with the lead single for a deluxe version coming in November. As long as Levitating gets a proper push and smashes. Don't fuck it up, girl!

Why does it matter, really? If they're not pushing any remix as a proper single, who cares? It's not going to slow down her momentum at all

Depends on what the end goal is. A remix album is unlikely to interfere with a single’s ability to perform well on radio/streaming, and releasing a remix album has a better shot of getting streams now than after the era has winded down. I’d say at worst, the timing of the third single seems a bit off as they could have leveraged the Madonna/Missy remix a bit more to their advantage if Levitate was the current single rather than it being the not-now-but-soon single.

True. The Levitating remix would get a lot more attention if it was released after people already knew the song.

As far as I'm aware, Club Future Nostalgia wasn't planned since the beginning and it seems to me that it's a bridge between Future Nostalgia and the side B/deluxe version of the aforementioned to be released soon because of the inclusion of two unreleased tracks. Regarding the press release (which is in the link of the Facebook embed post below), both Dua Lipa and The Blessed Madonna discussed about this project, which has been curated by the latter, including classic house and pop samples woven into the mix. On the creation of Club Future Nostalgia, Dua said the following: "The last few months have been surreal. I've watched you all dance in your homes and on your Zoom parties to Future Nostalgia like you were in the club with me. It brought so much joy to my days spent at home, even though I would've much rather been playing these songs live for you all on the road. During this time, I decided to take the party up a notch with the incomparable The Blessed Madonna, who secretly helped me to craft the mixtape that would become Club Future Nostalgia. We invited some friends and legends to join in on the fun with us". On working on the album, The Blessed Madonna added this: "When Dua asked me to recreate Future Nostalgia as a DJ style dance mixtape, I was excited because I knew I was being asked to introduce not only myself, but my heroes and sheroes from both pop and club music in a whole new way. The first time I met Dua was at a rave inside Glastonbury and in a way, I am sharing a bit of that special night with all of you too. I was asked to use the very best from underground and mainstream dance music; you may already know Mark Ronson but now you will know Moodymann, Jayda G, Midland and many more. This mix is a story about dance music, pop music and the women who have defined both for generations, like Madonna, Missy Elliott, Gwen Stefani and BLACKPINK. My admiration for Dua has only deepened since doing this. She is a brilliant, once in a generation artist and a sweetheart. Being able to make this love letter to her with such a legendary cast of characters is beyond comprehension. Club Future Nostalgia is the dance floor we all so desperately need but can't quite reach".
