I really hope this album can go 5-6 singles deep. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a pop era that lasted over a year.

In retrospect, it was a good thing the album leaked because the earlier release date has propelled enough interest in "Don't Stop Now" that it might actually go #1. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Early favs for me are "Levitate," "Physical," "Cool," and "Love Again." The only skips for me are "Future Nostalgia" and "Good in Bed" (which sounds like a Lily Allen song, and not one of the good ones lol).

Let's not predict those numbers nnnn Anything above 55-60k is a win for her! And yeah, that HITS mag tweet is about the albums total SPS numbers in US so far. Not the first week SPS prediction.

In retrospect, it was a good thing the album leaked because the earlier release date has propelled enough interest in "Don't Stop Now" that it might actually go #1. Keeping my fingers crossed. The album was coming today regardless of if it leaked or not. Pretty sure new albums don't sit at the back of Walmart collecting dust weeks before release. Her team knows "Don't Start Now" can't tread water at the top of pop radio forever and bumped it up to give it the best shot at going #1 on the Hot 100. A strategic move that could pay off. The album is pretty great, though. It's a major improvement over her debut which was nothing to write home about. "Love Again" is probably my favorite of the songs we hadn't heard before. "Cool" is definitely my least favorite, but it's still solid and will likely grow on me. That song, in particular, sounds like something CRJ would have knocked out of the park.

I did my part as a stan and picked up the CD at Target. Now it’s time to socially distance and bop all weekend!

Um...this album deserves ALL the praise. She really is some kinda sneak cutthroat bitch though. If I were the other pop girls, I would be QUAKING. But wait, no, there's room at the top for all blah blah blah. The real ones know this is not the case. Her deadeye stare in her videos should tell you all you need to know. Zoo Lips is out for BLOOD. The first 9 songs qualify this as AOTY material, honestly. Then, she can go on Grammys and perform Boys Will Be Boys in all-white with a choir. I kid, but high-key don't. Anywho, this is an A- level album for me. I stan.
1. Hallucinate (just like In Your Eyes by The Weeknd, this song makes me want to do a whole plate of coke) 2. Love Again 3. Physical 4. Don't Start Now 5. Pretty Please 6. Cool 7. Break My Heart 8. Levitating 9. Future Nostalgia
Japanese Edition: 10. Boys Will Be Boys (P!nk and Sia ghost wrote this and their demo vocals are obviously still on the song, LOL. But, I still...kinda like it. Belongs in a Disney movie with a heroine, not this album.) 11. Good In Bed (Lily Allen ghost wrote this, obv. It's not bad, though. It's just from her 3rd album, when she goes back to 90's R&B mixed with current trap sounds)

I love 8/11, like 9/11. It's an amazing pop album. At 9 tracks, it would be a classic. I could do without the last two songs, though.

Pretty nice album. It’s not blowing me away or anything but I like it. I don’t see it opening with more than 100k tho.

I don’t see this opening with huge numbers but I’m sure this will have legs. If they play their cards right this could be the next Teenage Dream/1989. This deserves at least 6 singles.

DUA! Ms. Dua Lipa! During this time of self quarantine and social distancing I’m not feeling the way you touched me on Hallucinate. Whew... a song! I need an extended EP with her and more of Stuart Price because their work was some of my favorite on the album. They went from Disco, to Funk, hit us with a little ABBA moment, and finished it with a full Dance smash.

Alright, I’ve given this album enough listens to finally form a solid opinion on it.
Favourites: Physical, Love Again, Break My Heart, Levitating, Future Nostalgia, Hallucinate, Don’t Start Now
“Least” favourites: ...I guess Pretty Please..? (still pretty solid, though)
She definitely delivered. Really enjoyable listen, will definitely be coming back to this, especially since I’ve kinda added every song from it onto my rotation lol. Has serious AOTY potential.
9/10

Boys Will Be Boys is incredible though but I agree it doesn't fit with the whole theme of the album.

"Physical" jumps from #7 to #5 and "Don't Start Now" stays at #6 this week in the UK. As a consequence, the former becomes Dua's sixth Top 5 hit and she still has two songs inside the Top 10, being the latter for 20 non-consecutive weeks there.
Dua's UK peaks to date:
#1. "New Rules" #1. "One Kiss" (Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa) #2. "Don't Start Now" #3. "IDGAF" #4. "Electricity" (Silk City & Dua Lipa) #5. "Physical" #9. "Be The One" #10. "No Lie" (Sean Paul featuring Dua Lipa) #14. "Scared To Be Lonely" (Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa) #15. "Hotter Than Hell" #24. "Swan Song" #30. "Blow Your Mind (Mwah)" #36. "Kiss And Make Up" (Dua Lipa & BLACKPINK) #86. "Lost In Your Light" (Dua Lipa featuring Miguel)
"Don't Start Now" chart run: 2 − 2 − 2 − 4 − 4 − 3 − 4 − 14 − 3 − 3 − 4 − 7 − 6 − 4 − 4 − 5 − 5 − 6 − 5 − 6 − 6 − (...)
"Physical" chart run: 12 − 11 − 16 − 14 − 13 − 8 − 7 − 5 − (...)

OKAY. So, this is by far the best pop album I've heard in a while. It's as perfect as pop music can get. With the exception of one track only, "Pretty Please" (which I find straight up filler and not cute filler), the rest are killer. I can't even pick out favorites yet after one listen only because every song is A+ pretty much.
Thoroughly impressed.

I think it's going to be hard for her to get a #1 single in the UK this week as Little Mix just released their lead, but my god I hope something goes #1. I could see her having 3 top ten hits tbh. Or at least 3 in the top 20.
