I hope my #2 is the #1 since my #1 was tanked by people with terrible taste.

Don't let my 10 fool you, I love "Drinkin' Man" but I couldn't justify ranking any higher... which I'm glad I didn't considering how the results ended up Poor Troublemaker tho

So you can tell based on the graphs that "Drinkin' Man" was essentially the runaway winner for the majority of the submission process. Troublemaker's last-place rank came right at the end of the submission process, and STILL wasn't enough to unseat it from the top! So when I got LBTrocks' list, "Drinkin' Man" was #1, "Here For A Good Time" was #2, and "Love's Gonna Make It Alright" was #3. "Drinkin' Man" was ahead of HFAGT with a comfortable 10-point lead. HFAGT was ahead of LGMIA by only ONE POINT!!!!! Then Flops came along and ranked LGMIA at #1 and HFAGT at #2, allowing them to tie, and then bumped "Drinkin' Man" the entire 10-points necessary to tie it with them I thought for a second his list was going to knock "Drinkin' Man" from #1 all the way to #3, tying the two bigger hits (that had literally never been #1 contenders for this rankdown) at #1. But then when I put in his list I realized nope, he freaking tied all three of them! Ironically enough, he caused all this turmoil and didn't even end up changing the final positions of the three songs

Right Or Wrong Rankdown: Results Time!
Final Participant List: (13)
Questions to get us started:
1) What will be #1?
2) What will be #10?
3) Which songs belong in the top 5?
4) What song will be most polarizing? Least polarizing?
5) Which of the singles will place highest? Where will it place? (You Look So Good In Love, Right Or Wrong, Let's Fall To Pieces Together)
6) Which of the singles will place lowest? Where will it place?
7) Where will each of the #1 singles finish? (You Look So Good In Love, Right Or Wrong, Let's Fall To Pieces Together) (Lmao on this album it's all of them!)
8) What will be the highest-placing album track? Where will it place?
9) Any other thoughts/predictions?

1) What will be #1? "You Look So Good In Love" 2) What will be #10? "You're the Cloud I'm On (When I'm High)" or maybe "A Little Heaven's Rubbing Off On Me" 3) Which songs belong in the top 5? "You Look So Good In Love", "Let's Fall to Pieces Together", "Right or Wrong", "80 Proof Bottle of Tear Stopper", and I can see either "Fifteen Years Going Up (and One Night Coming Down)" or "Every Time It Rains (Lord Don't It Pour)" making it in 4) What song will be most polarizing? "Right or Wrong" or maybe something like "Our Paths May Never Cross" Least polarizing? "You Look So Good In Love" 5) Which of the singles will place highest and where will it place? "You Look So Good In Love" and likely #1 6) Which of the singles will place lowest and where will it place? "Right or Wrong" 7) Where will each of the #1 singles finish? "You Look So Good In Love" #1; "Let's Fall To Pieces Together" #2; "Right Or Wrong" #4 8) What will be the highest-placing album track and where will it place? "80 Proof of Bottle of Tear Stopper" and top 4 9) Any other thoughts/predictions? This is probably one of the earliest albums I can remember getting for Christmas and therefore one that I've likely listened to countless times since my youth. Oh and that album cover

And what a finish for Here for a Good Time! Not all disappointed by the results and thrilled to see "Poison" come in as the highest-placing album track as it's always been a go-to song for me from this album. This album came out during a time in my life that was hard for me and this song just hit me in the gut like a sledgehammer. I still find that I'll put this song on from time to time and honestly I just really effing love sad songs. I do find that "Poison" and "Drinkin' Man" get compared to one another because they're from the album and I probably fall into that trap myself, but both are great and "Drinkin' Man" is one of George's favorites so happy to see it win.

I’d rather have you just the way that you are Than change you for somebody new. Maybe I could do better if I reached for a star, But I’m satisfied with you.

This is probably the first time I absolutely disagree with y’all...”I’m Satisfied With You” isn’t at all deserving of this last place ranking. BTW that video from Austin City Limits was filmed here in none other than Austin

Just like the previous album from the '80s, we see an epic last-place battle that was almost too close to call! "I'm Satisfied With You" was in last place for 8/13 of the submission process, but was by no means a runaway contender. In fact, this song ended up only losing by ONE POINT in the end! It almost made a recovery, jumping up to #8 thanks to Cody Wants Out..., but it was not meant to be. Personally, this song is just fine when I am in the right mood, but I seldom feel I have a reason to revisit it. It's just kinda there. Also, I find the lyrics to be low-key problematic in places... The whole hook of the song being "You aren't perfect, but I'm satisfied with you" feels strangely un-romantic It feels very "I might be able to do better if I tried, but you're good enough I guess." Not a song I'm going to miss... Lol

We’re two people that should be together, ‘Cause we’re lonely at the very same time. But there’s a million too many good reasons Why your love can never be mine.

The hint of course featured two parallel lines, who have the unfortunate fate of being two lines whose path will never cross. That is the same predicament George is facing in our #9 song, which features George singing a song to his soulmate who he feels he is likely to never even meet based on his current luck. "Our Paths May Never Cross" was a last place contender, and in the end it only survived by one point. I put this in my top 5, because I have always felt that the lyrics and overall sentiment of the song was one of the more poignant moments on the album. However, I could imagine people finding the song boring, and that is exactly what I am guessing happened here with most of you. The song garnered FOUR last-place ranks, which I was honestly shocked by. I'm so glad it was able to escape last place!

Sometimes I like a drink, ‘cause I’m happy When I think of how your love fits my life. If you see me light on my feet, feelin’ good inside, Honey, you’re the cloud I’m on when I’m high.

Two more #10s leave us from tim and collinkottke at #8, but it also wipes out a #4 from both gonecountry and .indulgecountry. "You're The Cloud I'm On (When I'm High)" is a song that I have never had a lot to say about. A noteworthy feature is the fact that the steel guitar sounds like it is light and airy, like it is ascending into the clouds.

Since y'all have guessed the hint, I won't keep you waiting any longer!
Every time my ship comes in, A hurricane blows it out again. The stormy weather seems to hang around my door. My sweet bird of paradise Flew the coop on me last night. Oh, and every time it rain, Lord, don’t it pour?
