"Sleep At Night" goes for Triple A adds on July 27, so I guess it's the album's second single. It's not looking like country radio will get another single.

I'm very interested in how this sells.
I expected Shania to open huge, just bc of how huge her last albums were. We saw how that turned out

I didn’t feel much hype from Shania. Though I suppose not following her or looking for her on social media would do that but the buzz for the single and the album definitely lacked behind what I would have expected.

Also, we're 3 days away from the first new Chicks album in 14 years. There are people alive (and probably posting on Pulse :'( ) who have never lived through a Chicks album release....

I was eight when Taking the Long Way was released. All we listened to in my house until I was about ten was strictly country music. I cannot wait for Gaslighter because I know it'll bring me back to my childhood.

I was so damn perched for this album and was quite sad to see the May 1 date get pushed back, but now I am ECSTATIC to get this album in my ears! Those lyrics are some damn good teasers and AAJIAOHDSFNH:UHNILDIS I can't wait!!!
Also, I was 5 going on 6 when their last album came out. Tiniest bit too young to experience it though, so this will be the first album I get to experience from them, and something tells me I'm gonna remember it for quite a long time.

I jumped on the Chick Train back when There's Your Trouble was a new single. At the time, my sister was a country music fan and she always had CMT (Canada) playing so I became fairly familiar with a lot of what was out. Naturally I gravitated toward the women in country at the time: Shania, Faith, Deana, but the Dixie Chicks were probably the first country group I became a fan of on my own. There's Your Trouble was my jam. I got the cassette tape from Columbia House and it was probably Wide Open Spaces (the song) that really won me over. Then it was the next single and I was sold.
I didn't invest in Fly, the second album, right away. I liked Ready To Run and Cowboy Take Me Away but I don't think I got the CD until well into the era. I didn't care for it as much as the first album, but I remember it had a lot of singles - which I don't think was uncommon for country albums.
I didn't even get Home until after Taking The Long Way, but I did really enjoy the singles from that album. I got Taking The Long Way the first day it was released, and then got the Top Of The World CD and DVD and Home sometime after.

Sold album through and through. A lot slower and more focused around Natalie's divorce than I expected, but there are some truly hauntingly beautiful songs here. You can tell she has been through hell and back. Definitely not disappointed. ❤

Update: I love the album.
I also low key wish they had changed their name to MEN because that is just epic in its own right!

Love the song. Love the video. Hope I love the album. This song is everything >>> Will need a few more listens with the album, but sounds great after one listen. Maybe a bit slower tempo than I prefer from them. Also echoing one of the reviews, I wish the sisters were featured a bit more prominently throughout the album.

Highlights for me are Tights on My Boat, Texas Man, Sleep at Night.
Julianna Calm Down really should have been left off. It is so much weaker than everything else.

This album is another smash from them. They’re incredible. The 1-2 punch of Julianna and Young Man just wow me. They’re incredible musicians and what amazing songs to their children.

I just started playing this. I forgot how good Gas lighter was! I have never listened to a Chicks album through so this will be my first time.

I hope no one hates me for this... but after first listen, I feel the album is a little boring. There are definitely highlights for me such as Gaslighter, March March, Tights on My Boat and others but it didn't grab my full attention. We'll see what round two does.

I think that has to do with the 3 ballads at the end. I think based on song tempo, the sequencing should’ve been different. Also, For Her should’ve been the last song.

It's much slower than the title track lets on, making it a perfect first track. I might need a bit more time with the album to let it germinate, but it was overall very strong upon first listen and I did pick up a few great songs along the way.

Hearing it in the album made me so excited! I love the build up. One thing that stuck out to me was the last three tracks being the slower quieter of the album. I think Young Man and Set Me Free are album highlights but I’m not sure I would have placed them and Hope It’s Something Good at the end.

This album is great! Love sleep at night, Texas man and Tights on my Boat!
Hope Sleep at night is huge hit at whatever format it is sent to. Any chance the song could have some success at Hot AC / AC format?
