Not sure if it's worth pressuring PREDS? He is new regardless of alignment so I'm not sure if wagoning him is really all that fair lol, but like I'm sure his reaction would be pretty helpful?
Also, loving these pluarity lynches. It means we don't have to focus on hammers, and just voting where we see fit.

The tone of the post reminded me a bit when normusic was scum in my first Pulse game, not sure if it's the nervousness or maybe the partial akwardness to the post though lol. For now I just want him to start talking more though. I guess I was expecting you to be less jokey? In the *Game that shall not be named* I remembered you generally were pretty professional about it, or at least formal if that makes sense? Of course this is all based on 3 posts and a mess of a game anyway, and this post is putting you back to null for me lol. |

Do you think it's worth pressure wagoning anyone? I remember a fierce debate about this in a game I had on another site, some were against it because it was not alignment indicative or it inspired laziness from others, but it also could pressure slots you really need reads on to go further and in early game it can start a game fast.
What would you guys fall on that side? I'm not against it but I'd rather everyone just be active in the conversations lol.

Is anyone actually going to answer Ped’s question tho? Point of the game is to look to see who seems suspicious based on the information and discussions happening in the thread (usually not a lot happens day 1) and vote for players you find suspicious. Usually the first few votes in the thread are bullshit to get discussion going and mean nothing. Activity and communication are good, if not required, but think strategically about how much you say and when you say it. Read past game threads for examples.
Not sure what we have to gain from pressuring a new player if we believe his first was genuine. He’s not going to know how to react anyway.
Mylo seems aggressively helpful.

I think people have an issue with pressure wagoning on day 1 b/c it happens too early and/or with seemingly no justification behind it, and more often than not it just doesn't end up working out in our favor - it usually looks scummy, and then actual scum gets to hide behind someone else's actions. It's a problem of execution more so than the action itself IMO.
With that said I am always down for pressure questioning, which serves the same purpose. The questioning can lead to a legit wagon depending on how a person responds.
For now I think we can keep running with mylo's opening - where does everyone's suspicions lie, however small they are? Mylo got the ball rolling which in general is always a good thing; wob picked up on this quickly and kept the convo going. Sercies has entered the building and has put on his serious hat. Preds is still quiet. Nose just breezed through to say he's going to bookmark the thread, then leave; that feels a bit odd. So I guess that's where my town-to-scum meter has shifted for the moment.
vote: Nose as my previous RVS vote wasn't even on anyone in the game lol.

I think I'd slot him somewhere between you and Preds? He has posted more than Preds, but he hasn't been in here since page 2, so I can't say that he's contributing the way you just did but I also can't say that he ignored the current conversation the way Nose seemed to. That puts him closer to the 'inactive' gray zone. As for wob, there was a sense of specificity to his posts/questioning that seemed genuine. The one thing that did stand out was his mild defense of Preds, so I do have that in the back of my mind if Preds continues to be a no-show. |
