Lux ◢ ◤ yeah, I think this game was just too small for all the power roles that were squeezed into it. For a 9 or 10 player game I think it would have been fine. Or maybe even 8 - I think I recall you saying that the game was originally made for 8 people and then someone dropped out? That one less player likely made all the difference. Reading the green room now and it's funny, Kunt immediately found the balance skewing toward scum instead of against it, and he's not wrong either. This is what I mean by too swingy. If I were town I would have spotted what he did about a potential N1 endgame, but I was scum so tbh it could have been a N1 endgame on ME had Caged nailed his vig shot, and I would have been big mad b/c I would have lost through no fault of my own (I purposely led a lynch on my own partner lol so it would have essentially been punishing me for my own strategy). But also even if I didn't lynch Preds, the game could have theoretically ended in a town win by the vig lucking out and hitting one scum on N1, and the deflector lucking out and targeting the other scum on N1 and town mislynching the deflector. This was a very luck based game and I know Scumcies would have been just as salty as Scumthia would have been at that. I think it's admittedly also tricky doing mafia games on Pulse b/c we get a lot of repeat players with specific playing styles/attention spans, so you have to balance for both the game itself and for the players who are likely to sign up for it. You're relatively new to us still so unfortunately this isn't something you could have known or accounted for. Albie if no one else is in line to do so I'd be happy to host the next one! It would likely be an open or semi-open setup to lower the curve a little bit. Yeah it was originally 9p (because I counted someone twice I think), and then Coco dropped out so it went 9 -> 7. So, I can see where that comes from. Regardless, I do also think the actual course of the game happened in a balanced manner, so I'm not going to worry about it too much.

It was a fun game. Games with more players have more potential but there’s always the risk of players being inactive or just not caring, which really sucks and brings it down a lot.
