Not that I'm against this song, but considering that this was my last non-8/10 or higher song remaining, I will take it.
Any of the five remaining would be good winners. Probably setting up for my 13 to win, but screw it, that song's great, too.

#5 is the last song to not be in every top 10. It was most often outside looking in during the middle third. Only 6 people didn't rank this song in their top 25, but almost all of those are bottom 15, and 2 are bottom 10. This was someone's favorite song in the rankdown. 4 more people ranked it top 5; 4 more, top 10; and 7 more, top 20.

was hoping to like this one more considering the band's legacy, although my low ranking is mainly due to the strength of this list

On one hand, this means that the top 4 are all in my top ten.
On the other hand, outside of my #1, I was probably rooting for this song the hardest.
(Though now, I'm bitter all over again that "Das Model" didn't make the top ten in gates' 70s rankdown.)

#4 has 4 bottom 15s, and half are bottom 10. Everyone else ranked the song at least top 25. 5 top 20s, 5 top 10s, 5 top 5s, and a #1.

This song is a gem in every way. One of Depeche Mode's better songs, and that's saying a lot.

All but 3 people ranked #3 top 20, but they are all bottom 15. 7 top 10s, 5 top 5s, and 2 #1s. This song finished 100 points ahead of "Stripped".

Pet Shop Boys, especially prime PSB, are almost always going to be high in my ranking, and usually top ten. I like the Ghost cover of this, but it's still not really a patch on the original.
1 vs. 3
Honestly, I could have switched my 2 and 3 (they were pretty much equal) and had my top two be the overall top two, but it's still two of my three clear favorites battling it out for #1. I considered rating my #1 a 10/10, so yeah, I'm rooting for that to win...but I'd, obviously, be fine with either possibility.

The Quest for the Golden Mini Moog
Your final top 2.
Bizarre Love Triangle It's My Life
Tale of the Tape: These were the only two songs to spend time at #1. One of them never left the top 2. One occupied the top spot for 7 rankings. The other, 16. There are only 4 bottom half rankings up in the air: Will's 27, Desperado's 27, Disco's 26, and Beno's 35. These songs, combined, amassed a spectacular 35 top 10s, 8 being #1s. Rowell and A Forest are both down to their #1 and #2.

No real surprise here, I expected BLT to be one of the two favorites (and then the favorite once "Stripped" went out), and it's a great winner. "It's My Life", though...DAMN, what a song that is. Talk Talk are a band I've really been getting into more and more as of late, and I've still yet to encounter a song of theirs that ensnares me as much as "It's My Life" does. Perhaps they have better songs (see: Laughing Stock), but none quite as catchy. As always, singingrulebritannia, fantastic job. You're well on your way to another failed attempt by me to get you a Best Games Host/Best Rankdown nomination. :kii:

10. Twilight - Electric Light OrchestraThis is the writing style of Jeff Lynne. You could hear this style in Dave Edmunds singles from 1983. I don't know how much of a top 10 crown this deserves, but to be fair I loved everything off the Xanadu album. 9. In Your Eyes - Peter GabrielThis is more like piano than synths. I would have upgraded "Shock The Monkey" into my top 5 tho. 8. King of Pain - The PoliceI love this song, but Police and Synthpop don't really mix either, so I put it where it belongs among these group of peers. 7. Vienna - UltravoxI love Ultravox, but you happened to choose the one that I think is the most boring one ever. "Reap The Wild Wind" would have changed my top 10 songs. 6. The Look of Love - ABCHere is a band That to me was a #1 hit machine. I'm proud to boast being the only PULSE member who charted them these last three years, and I think I'm going to bring back older songs of theirs' to chart. Yup, If the Cars hadn't shown up this would be my #1 song. 5. Computer Love/Computerliebe - KraftwerkI never knew Coldplay rehashed this song? Nice melody, but if I wanted this robotic style vocals I would go listen to Devo. 4. Stripped - Depeche ModePassable, but Not the best choice for this band. "Just Can't Get Enough", and "People Are People" are much better bouncers. 3. It's A Sin - Pet Shop Boys I knew this would perform well, so it didn't really need my help. Most of my top 15 could have been in my top 10 anyway. 2. It's My Life - Talk TalkBoth of these are extraordinary songs. Both went top 10 on my charts and both have perfect music to go along. 1. Bizarre Love Triangle - New Order I change up every few years, but this has been my favorite New Order songs on multiple occasions. It was born during the Hi Energy period in pop music. This song had a few versions floating around radio at its time. My favorite was the one that starts off with the drums. singingrulebritannia Great job with the hosting.Looking forward to part II. I loved those extras the most . My list would have been completely different with those in the mix, but The Cars will still be #1.

Thanks for hosting singingrulebritannia! I am pleasantly surprised to see "Bizarre Love Triangle" win this. It was my original #1 but I had to put the Sylvester song there because I had to represent. I have always loved "Bizarre Love Triangle", especially Shep Pettibone's incredible extended mix which takes it to the next level.

Excellent Top 4. Thanks for hosting singingrulebritannia and introducing me to some cool synthpop songs. Sorry to disappoint you but you are not the only one charting ABC. The Flames of Desire reached #1 in my chart in November 2016 and Viva Love reached #5 in July the same year. By the way, I read somewhere that Martin Fry said he is working on Lexicon 3.

Actually, this was the version that was played the most back home, at least by our #1 radio station. Sometimes it would be cut by the 'bridge', but most times it'd be played in its entirety. I managed to record it in a mixtape with no interruptions A personal chart-topper, yearend top 5 and favorite New Order song. Great to see it as the winner of this RD!
