Has Zayn just completely fallen off? Any chance of him having a single from this album doing well?

Ouch at Springsteen! I think all the new entries are underperforming this week, wonder why.

Has Zayn just completely fallen off? Any chance of him having a single from this album doing well? I kinda doubt it, unless he starts promoting his music. I’m pretty sure he’s never even performed Pillowtalk live lol

Ouch at Springsteen! I think all the new entries are underperforming this week, wonder why. Christmas, December is a pretty bad time to release an album unless you are a powerhouse artist.

It'll be sad if ZAYN can't beat Mitchell Tenpenny.

The #1 movie's soundtrack can't crack 50,000. Really? Mitchell Tenpenny is coming off of a #2 country hit. Very low numbers for him.

His previous album opened with 71k so that's pretty much up there. Tunnel Vision was a big hit too so nothing really has changed.

he feels bigger now, ZEZE was literally almost a number 1 debut, this was his big return from jail album, Wake Up in the Sky is close to the top 10 and each week he seems to debut a new single on the Hot 100

Tuesday, December 18, 2018 TOP 20: HOLIDAY BREAK EDITION Kodak Black should land on top of Friday’s HITS Top 50. WMG could have this week’s top three titles, although A Star Is Born could be the spoiler. 1. *Kodak Black – Dying To Live (Atlantic) 83-88k Total Activity, 3-5k Albums 2. Meek Mill – Championships (Atlantic) 74-79k, 3-5k 3. Michael Bublé – Christmas (Reprise) 59-64k, 17-20k 4. Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper – A Star Is Born Soundtrack (Interscope) 56-61k, 41-45k 5. *Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse (Republic) 42-46k, 13-15k 6. Gucci Mane – Evil Genius (Atlantic) 42-46k, 3-5k 7. Travis Scott – Astroworld (Cactus Jack/Grand Hustle/Epic) 42-46k, 3-5k 8. Pentatonix – Christmas is Here! (RCA) 41-45k, 29-32k 9. Drake – Scorpion (YMCMB/Republic) 40-44k, 2-4k 10. 6ix9ine – Dummy Boy (Scumgang/Create) 39-42k, <1k 11. The Greatest Showman (Atlantic) 39-42k, 22-25k 12. Mariah Carey – Merry Christmas (Epic) 38-41k, 5-7k 13. Post Malone – Beerbongs & Bentleys (Republic) 36-39k, 2-4k 14. Pentatonix – A Pentatonix Christmas (RCA) 35-38k, 20-23k 15. Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody (Hollywood) 35-38k, 16-18k 16. *Bruce Springsteen – Springsteen On Broadway (Columbia) 33-36k, 31-34k 17. Lil Baby – Street Gossip (Quality Control/Motown/Capitol) 32-35k, <1k 18. XXXTentacion - Skins (Bad Vibes Forever/EMPIRE) 32-35k, 4-6k 19. Michael Bublé – Love (Reprise) 29-32k, 28-31k 20. Juice WRLD – Goodbye & Good Riddance (Grade A/Interscope) *DEBUTS Our office is going dark, which in this case means it will actually be locked and empty until 2019. It's always dark, of course, in that it's populated by us. But as we plunge into our eggnog-filled kiddie pools and holly-stuffed bongs, we salute you, dear readers, without whom we would surely lose our phoney-baloney jobs. Happy holidays, Happy New Year, and we'll catch you on the flip side. hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=314610&title=TOP-20:-HOLIDAY-BREAK-EDITION

Bublé might have the only legitimate classic Christmas album in the 21st century. Probably the biggest since Mariah's. You could argue for Josh Groban and Céline Dion, but they haven't hit the top 10 every year like Bublé has. Last time it was this high was six years ago as well.

Yeah, but his Christmas effort is newer than Groban's and like 13 years newer than Dion's. Yes Mariah's charts and was released before them all, but she has a popular christmas standard that gives the album legs. I think they're all pretty legitimate modern classics in different respects.

I wonder if A Pentatonix Christmas can return to the Top 10... it's been stuck in the Top 20 for the past couple of weeks now. Speaking of which, they might've had a "classic Christmas album", had they not released a Christmas album every year and seemingly make it their mission to have the most Christmas songs of all-time. Oh well, looks like they'll have the best-selling Christmas album for 2018 too. In pure sales, anyway.

That seems like a flop for Kodak. He feels a lot bigger than these numbers suggest, especially in the streaming era.

^Kodak Black's only seems to be doing well in Apple Music.
Also, I noticed in the top 20 prediction The Christmas Song and A Charlie Brown Christmas (Soundtrack) holiday albums weren't mentioned, but wouldn't be surprised they do end up in it as they did week.

Is it just me or are those sales really disappointing for the week before Christmas? Granted the last weekend before Christmas is for the next chart so hopefully that'll see some big sales.

^The era of big sales at Christmas are over. But, the Top 3 are lower compared to a year ago: pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/172732/hits-eminem-265k-197k-sales?page=31. *Eminem (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope) 245-255k SPS, 180-190k Sales 2. *G-Eazy (BPG/Revels Group/RCA) 130-135k, 80-85k 3. Taylor Swift (Big Machine/BMLG) 99-104k, 68-73k HITS will probably only give us a Top 20 on Friday.

^True.
Where are the big 4th Quarter releases this year?
Streaming has made the 4th Quarter obsolete.

^True. Where are the big 4th Quarter releases this year? Streaming has made the 4th Quarter obsolete. Are 4th quarter releases still a big deal? Back when people bought music and buying CDs for gifts it was a big deal but now that purpose is gone. I doubt people listen to music more around Christmas than any other time of the year so it’s not like Spotify memberships are a hot gift item.
