I think her manager or someone close to her said not too long ago to some publication that she "took chances on her next album", whatever that means. I'm guessing it won't be mostly ballads like her albums usually are. Something in the vein of "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" and "Water under the Bridge" would be great. wtf would drake/adele even sound like I can see them doing something similar to "Take Care".

It's amazing how these threads always turn into Rihanna and Drake discussions for no reason. What a special gift!

Holy crap that Melly guy actually killed people. What is going on?! R. Kelly can't have his music on streaming platforms but Melly can?! R. Kelly's music is still on streaming platforms. Just a few artists that did collaborations with him have removed those tracks, and that's totally up to the artist, not the streaming platform. Spotify tried out blacklisting artists from certain playlists, but it was met with poor reception. Now they just have a feature where you can block an artist, leaving it to the consumer. You need to teach me how to use this feature, so I can hear TTH without being attacked with Post Malone's music.

Depends on how many songs she ends up dropping at once, but I'd go with no. I'd love to see her break the streaming records Ariana set with her latest album, but I doubt she does it. Right now, Ariana is a bigger streaming force than Rihanna. Well, considering Grande has released 3 full-length albums in the streaming era whereas Fenty has released 1, and Grande still doesn’t have an album that has surpassed Fenty’s “ANTI” in total SPS, I’d expect her to be a bigger streaming artist. Nevertheless Rihanna’s still the most streamed Female act by eons. You’re right though. For Rihanna to break Grande’s streaming record (first week) it all depends on how the music is received and/or if she has a big hit beforehand. One factor that helped Drake’s “Scorpion” obliterate streaming in the first week is the two big hits he had prior to the albums release. If not, I would have seen him doing “More Life” numbers or “Beerbongs...” numbers which is still amazing of course.

If not, I would have seen him doing “More Life” numbers or “Beerbongs...” numbers which is still amazing of course. I don't believe Ariana will ever be as big as Rihanna. Streaming will obviously make things appear that way because of all the numbers and streaming records she's broken and how we're generally more concerned with numbers now as fans, but Rihanna has way more iconic hits, albums and videos than Ariana. She's done way too much in her 14-year span and Ariana hasn't even started to scratch that surface. I said what I said about Rihanna's streaming power because I've noticed that the streaming era really favors consistency. Ed Sheeran was a way bigger streaming artist than Drake in 2014/2015. Even Rihanna was. Notice how that isn't the case anymore? Drake has bombarded fans with new releases every year since 2015 and by doing so, he's grabbed a hold of the millions of streaming fans that have come along with each passing year. He's carried his fans along the way, too. His career has literally gotten bigger the bigger streaming gets. That says a lot. He made a perfect transition from the digital era to the streaming era. I'm just a bit worried about Rihanna because she's been gone for a bit and we don't know the kind of music she'll be releasing. When ANTi dropped, the only major streaming artists were Rihanna, Ed Sheeran and Drake. That's not the case now. Post Malone is a massive streaming force now, so is Ariana. Even Cardi is pulling her own weight. So many other artists are coming up. Still, I'm excited to see what Rihanna does in her new era. I think everybody is.

People also said Drake would fade out after 2009 and that he was all hype. We should never listen to people. They often times have no idea what they're talking about. Or they do and are just sometimes wrong. That’s possible too. People will always try to force their opinions on other people based on how they feel other people will perform in life. The only thing about that is how other people's careers go isn't in the hands of the people with the opinions. Loads of musicians have proven loads of critics wrong. Happens all the time. I'm just saying that it's a good thing some of these musicians don't let other people's opinions about them stop or slow them down.

Careers also don't stop when hits do. All the artists being discussed her have built up a nice catalog of hits and could make good money performing just those for as long as they want.

That Cardi/Bruno song is gonna be huge, that could interrupt the Ariana party at the top in the next few weeks It's currently only #18 on Spotify. Radio numbers will probably push it near the top 5, but I can't see it going #1 without more streaming support. Youtube may do it once the video is out.

So tired of seeing P!ATD at #1. I love the song but 13 weeks as the #1 song on radio? Hopefully Halsey can finally take it this week.
