omg you’re petty!! i’m happy she’s pushing it to radio. if there is indeed a remix and a music video, it could be a moderate hit for her. still unsure if it will reach a new high on the hot 100, can’t imagine it happening just with an airplay push. excited to see how this all unfolds. pregnant? married? cardi b? Gurrrrlll do not change your tune now. We had a full on conversation a few weeks ago where you doubted it would do well... keep that same energy. a lot has changed since then. I still don’t think it will do well if the only thing she does is to push it to radio and put out a music video, but it could end up performing like “delicate” seeing how it has neared the top 50 on CHR on its own / without a formal push. we’ll see what she has up her sleeves. |

The way she's been pushing the "Cornelia Street" live version harder than she ever did "The Man" I obviously love her being the Queen of Pop/the world but this is where she is at her best. Just her and her guitar pouring her heart out on a self-composed track. Legend <3. She is going to be remembered as one of the best songwriters of all time. |

I am here for all the love for Cornelia Street! Since whatever surprise she is/was working on hasn't materialised yet, and this was the week I was supposed to see her live for the Lover Tour  I want to hear everyone's ideas for the Tour, what they would like to hear live, etc.
I assumed we were going to get a lot of pastel coloured everything with singles plus a few selected album cuts from Lover, and the old(er) hits - I was hoping she would play Cornelia Street and Death by a Thousand Cuts live. I also enjoyed the Red-Daylight mash up from the Paris concert.
What was everyone hoping she would/will sing on Tour?

Her tours usually pretend her older albums barely exist, so I assumed it was going to be 16 lover tracks (no INTHAF or SYGB) plus Love Story, Delicate, Blank Space, Shake it Off and a medley (something like Bad Blood/IKYWT/LWYMMD).

Listening to Lover album, what a perfect pop album it is. Reputation never happened for me so this is a continuation of 1989 for me. Lover the song is one of Taylor's best ballads ever.

Since a lot of singers can't tour right now, I would think it would be a good idea to post acoustic performances on YouTube or something like that to keep the community engaged. That's something I think Taylor could do because we know she can play instruments so food for thought.

I agree with all of this. Many who rose to stardom after Taylor have already faded away. She's a force. And 1989 is one of the greatestestest pop eras in any genre, ever. Somehow, despite being a Taylor fanatic, I had never seen this before. Wow, it blew me away! You can tell Taylor really connects with the song, and we see the themes from this emerging in Miss Americana (the film). Taylor's vocals are totally on point. She's brave to sing alongside someone as amazing as Mary J. Blige.

I'd love for her to explore more of the "State of Grace"/"Holy Ground" sound if she is going to lean towards a more rock sound - those two are among my top favorites from Red and I have always wanted to hear more songs like that from her.
