I'm going to be sad when she officially moves on from the Lover album - even though I don't actually expect anything from Lover to be able to actually achieve anything but still. It's such a good album. :(

Katy also said we would have to tune in to AI (which is the season finale show and happens to lead in to Taylor's City of Lover concert airing) to see if any rumors were true or false...Taylor's on the album. It's too obvious. From Taylor airing after AI to the 1,989 to Taylor wearing daisies (yes, blue daisies are a thing) on that post the other day...I wouldn't be shocked to see Taylor on the upcoming lead for Katy's album.

Way to obvious to be coincidental. Maybe it’s a song that was written for 1989 that didn’t make the final cut? So Katy recorded it and Taylor has writing credits on it? I’m sure Idol wants all the views it can get, so teasing a Taylor performance is a must for them. |

Wildest Dreams' daily Spotify streams are now 50% above normal thanks to Tik Tok. She should really upload more of her official audios on there (the Wildest Dreams one isn't an official audio), she has a lot of songs with punchy lines that have potential.

Y'all...the live album does not exist because Taylor performed older songs as well at that show. BMG won't allow her to release any older songs in any new format unless they get money for it, which Taylor explicitly does not want even if she were to have been given permission. (Remember when they tried to bar her AMAs performance saying performing her older hits live for TV was "re-recording" them before she was allowed to?) That's why she only dropped live audio tracks of songs from the current album, and it's why ABC was only allowed to air the performances of the new songs.
This would've all been easy had they just given her the f**king masters. She tried and tried and tried some more to buy them and they wouldn't let her. Bunch of money-hungry rats is what they are.
Anyways, with all that off my chest, last night was a gift. With all the massive anxiety I've had over quarantine and how long this will last and what the future of life as we know it looks like, the City of Lover concert was sorely needed. I hadn't felt that happy and carefree since this mess began two months ago. So glad I watched it live and was able to experience it, and that I'll get to experience it through streaming the audio tracks and through the recording I made of the show.

I think so, but maybe if they were released as an EP they wouldn't. Like I don't think any of Speak Now Tour Live's consumption counts towards Speak Now since the live album charted separately. |
