“Big Love” was released as the lead single and title track to Tracy’s fourth studio album and was written by Michael Clark and Jeff Stevens. It became another top 5 hit for Tracy where it peaked at #3 in the fall of 1996, but it unfortunately has to settle for a top 10 finish here. Cody Wants Out... is our next participant to lose their #1 while bboat11 loses yet another top 5. This received quite a bit of support overall and remained a consistent top 10 contender for most of the time as only two participants placed this outside of their top 30.

Coming up next the #1's continue to fall like dominoes as not one but two of you will lose your top song which was also one that a couple of you predicted would be in the top 5...

“Don’t Take Her She’s All I Got” was released as the second single from Big Love and peaked at #4 in early 1997. Originally titled “She’s All I Got”, the song was first recorded in 1971 by Freddie North where it became a Top 40 pop hit. Another version was released by Johnny Paycheck that same year where it peaked at #2. LBTrocks and .indulgecountry become the next two participants to lose their #1. This never fell out of the top 10 thanks in part to multiple top 5’s from myself, Kanenrá:ke, and bboat11 as well as everyone placing this inside their top 30! With both “Big Love” and “Don’t Take Her She’s All I Got” leaving that also means we must bid adieu to yet another studio album.

Ugh, the melody of "Don’t Take Her She’s All I Got" is easily the strongest in his singles catalog. What a JAM. Deserved top 5. </3

"Big Love" has such an insanely catchy melody I didn't really know this one before the rankdown, but it immediately infiltrated my top 5 and displaced songs that I have known and loved for most of my life! Thrilled to see it make the top 10, but tbh it should have been top 5. Seeing it in peoples' bottom 10 feels really weird. "Don't Take Her She's All I Got" is another insanely catchy song! I figured this one might be tanked due to overplay, but tbh I would have rather some of his other overplayed songs get the tank job first... Y'all really seem to be about to let ALL the most generic overplayed songs into the top 5...

Ah yes, the old "It's a slow love ballad so I have to tank it" mentality... Never fails to disappoint me. Except I don't usually do that...do I? Lol I love slow love ballads, just not this one. tim Yes I'm the middle-aged woman seeking revenge! My number one and now my #2 No you don't, but it's not targeted at any specific individual. Literally every love ballad always has somebody (or several somebodies) tank it just because it is "cheesy". The somebody changes from song to song, but the fact that there is always somebody is pretty much inescapable. Which really bums me out, because love and happiness are such universally awesome feelings, and the fact that they literally cannot be described without somebody finding them to be cheesy just means that there is always somebody ruining it for the people who feel a connection with the song. I mean, that's kinda how it works for every song regardless of style, but it is extra pronounced when it comes to popular love ballads.

Let's wrap this top 10 up so we can find out which five songs will be contending for the top spot! This song only missed the top 5 by one point and ended up being the 8th least polarizing song of the rankdown...

“Lifestyles of the Not So Rich and Famous” was released as the first single from Tracy’s second studio album No Ordinary Man. Written by Byron Hill and Wayne Tester, the song went on to become a Top 5 hit in the summer of 1994. It just misses the top 5 here by one point and was also the 8th least polarizing song of the rankdown as everyone placed this inside their top 25 including two top 5’s from castleoblivion26 and kw9461. This remained a consistent top 10 contender for most of the time thanks to the amount of support it received from five top 10’s, a top 15, and two top 20’s.

These do feel like the expected top 5 which is the only complaint I really have as I love having at least one dark horse in it.

“Drinkin’ Bone” was released in late summer 2003 as the second single from The Truth About Men. Written by Casey Beathard and Kerry Kurt Phillips, it peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart becoming Tracy’s final top 10 hit to date. Despite recordyear’s bottom five ranking this remained a consistent top 10 contender for the duration of the rankdown in which both George Strait Junkie and kw9461 are the next two participants who lose their #1. Kanenrá:ke and Cody Wants Out... also lose a top 5 while three others lose a top 10. This did flirt with the #1 position early on but ended up settling just inside the top 5 with final submission. “Drinkin’ Bone” is the final song to be highlighted from The Truth About Men so it's time for another album recap!

“Ten Rounds With José Cuervo” was released as the third single from Ten Rounds and was written by Casey Beathard, Michael P. Heeney, and Marla Cannon-Goodman. It went on to become Tracy’s second and final number one hit on the Billboard Hot Country Singles and & Tracks while also peaking at #26 on the Billboard Hot 100. Thanks in part to everyone placing this inside their top 20 this was the least polarizing song of the rankdown in which .indulgecountry loses a #2 and six others lose a top 10 ranking. Two more lose a top 15 while only myself and gardyfan placed this just shy of that. This is the final song to be showcased for Ten Rounds so we must bid adieu to Tracy’s seventh studio album.

“I’m from the Country” was released the first single and title track to Tracy’s fifth and final album for MCA Records. Written by Marty Brown, Stan Webb, and Richard Young, it was released in February 1998 and became a top 5 hit where it peaked at #3 which also happens to be the position it leaves the rankdown. gardyfan loses his #1 while four others lose a top 5 and one more losing a top 10. This not only remained a top 5 contender for the entire time but remained the most consistent song to look like it was going to run away with the win…that was up until the final list came in from kw9461 whose #24 ranking was enough to send this all the way back to #3. While the album I’m from the Country only produced two singles both of them placed inside the top 10 as “I Wanna Feel That Way Again” finished at #9. With the title track leaving we now say goodbye to another album.
