How funny would it be if all the begging for Circles to not stall at #2 and dethrone SYL comes back to bite and in return blocks Heartless from #1. I want both of my kings to have their respective time at #1 |

I really don't know why they gave Heartless the radio deal. Sure, it'll do some damage short term, but Blinding Lights has the timeless sort of sound that will resonate with way more listeners in the long term.

Blinding Lights is also doing way better in sales and almost the same in streams. Radio will give the edge to Heartless now.

Blinding Lights seemed like it was going to be the single that would be pushed the most since it had that Mercedes commercial deal with it, so I’m confused at Heartless getting the radio deal. I mean it makes sense since it fits the most with the sound of radio but I hope they don’t abandon BL for Heartless. I want to see both thrive. |

Not necessarily. Unless you're trying to do something like this: Getting rid of UGC views or weighing them much less than they currently are weighted (like, from two-thirds of a normal stream to just one-third) would do that. UGC views are the reason why older songs are still inside the top 10, like Senorita is. Its increase in UGC views kept it inside the top 10. There is no way that they should be weighed as much as a regular YouTube stream. Turnover rates don't matter at all as long as the chart accurately represents what people are listening to. Billboard needs to decrease the UGC weight. It shouldn’t be equal to a regular stream. That’s why so many songs nowadays overstayed their welcome in the top ten. Is the issue that you don’t think the current formula is accurate or that songs stay too long in the top 10? |

Circles is Post's second #1 to make it to two or more weeks at the top, rockstar spent 8 weeks at #1.
Both Psycho and Sunflower only had 1 week at the top, which is crazy for Sunflower, that song was in the Top 10 for 32 weeks and only had 1 week at the top.
