I'm gonna go back and post every year end from 2019 to 2014. If I get a chance and a good method of figuring out the data, I may go back to 2013 and before. The whole idea is that I'll post what the year end charts would have looked like if the charting window started in January and ended in December (as opposed to Billboard's charting window of December-November). I'll post the year ends as I have time to do so.

Under this methodology, the Year End #1's for 2014-2019 remain the same, except for 2016 (One Dance would be YE #1, instead of Love Yourself).
I would like to see the 2013 list. I'm interested in seeing if Blurred Lines edges out Thrift Shop.

And as far as songs that didn't make it in this list that made the official YE
Too weak: -Powerglide -IDGAF
Made the 2017 YE: -Young, Dumb & Broke -Sorry Not Sorry -Shape of You -I Get the Bag -1-800-273-8255 -Believer -What Lovers Do -Mi Gente
Caught between years: -Sky Walker -Plain Jane -Lemon
And for what it's worth, I had Shallow as the number 101 and You Say as number 106

Here's the January-December year end for 2019 by my formula.
A couple notes: 1. This uses actual dates over chart dates. 1/4/20 is included and 1/5/19 is excluded. 2. The two weeks that straddle the year cutoffs (1/11/20 & 1/12/19) are split between their two years, with point given out proportionally to how much of each week was in each year. With both of these rules, be prepared to see newer songs higher than you'd expect. 3. New songs are displayed with *
That said, let's get into it!
1. Old Town Road 2. Sunflower 3. bad guy 4. Wow. 5. Without Me 6. Talk 7. Truth Hurts 8. Sucker 9. 7 Rings 10. Señorita 11. Dancing With a Stranger 12. Someone You Loved 13. I Don't Care 14. No Guidance 15. Happier 16. Suge 17. High Hopes 18. Ran$om 19. SICKO MODE 20. Sweet But Psycho 21. Going Bad 22. Shallow 23. Circles 24. MIDDLE CHILD 25. Eastside 26. Panini 27. Better 28. Goodbyes 29. If I Can’t Have You 30. Money In The Grave 31. Beautiful People 32. thank u, next 33. Trampoline 34. Girls Like You 35. You Need To Calm Down 36. Please Me 37. Good As Hell * 38. break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored 39. Pop Out 40. Look Back At It 41. Whiskey Glasses 42. a lot 43. Memories * 44. God's Country 45. Drip Too Hard 46. Only Human 47. Thotiana 48. Beautiful Crazy 49. ME! 50. Pure Water 51. Speechless 52. The Git Up 53. Hey Look Ma, I Made It 54. Envy Me 55. Beer Never Broke My Heart 56. Ballin’ * 57. The London 58. Con Calma 59. Hot * 60. Baby 61. 10,000 Hours * 62. How Do You Sleep? 63. Act Up 64. Lover * 65. Be Alright 66. On Chill * 67. Highest In The Room * 68. Money 69. Close To Me 70. Murder on My Mind 71. Better Now 72. Youngblood 73. Lose You To Love Me * 74. My Type 75. bury a friend 76. You Say 77. One Thing Right 78. Baby Shark 79. Worth It 80. MIA 81. ZEZE 82. Knockin' Boots 83. Bandit * 84. Hot Girl Summer 85. when the party’s over 86. One Man Band * 87. Lucid Dreams 88. Rumor 89. Even Though I'm Leaving * 90. Dance Monkey * 91. Swervin 92. BOP * 93. Cash s**t 94. Clout 95. Look What God Gave Her 96. Good as You 97. Roxanne * 98. Close Friends 99. Time * 100. Shotta Flow
As you can probably see, this knocks the cutoff up by a significant margin, so I'll also include those above Walk Me Home to show how it'd give their full chart runs
101. Playing Games * 102. All I Want For Christmas Is You * 103. Take What You Want * 104. Talk You Out of It 105. Robbery 106. All To Myself 107. Eyes On You 108. Heat * 109. Prayed For You * 110. Taki Taki 111. Boyfriend 112. Walk Me Home
And finally, here are the songs that made the real list, but dropped big due to having December '18 points.
120. Wake Up In The Sky 130. I Like It 133. Tequila 140. Mo Bamba 145. Leave Me Alone 199. Breathin' 218. Trip 220. Beautiful 222. Love Lies
I'll also do this for a few years back as well as for a school year chart if anyone wants one.

Yeah, I feel even more torn on this one. Sure, "Better Now" makes the Year-End top 10, and we have "breathin", "broken", and "I'm a Mess" making it, but the losses are much worse here compared to the 2019 list. No "IDGAF" or "Lemon" or "Sky Walker"?
Also, "Blurred Lines" better not be the 2013 Year-End #1, or else I will prefer our current scenario by default.

So, quality aside, do y’all feel like these lists are a more accurate representation of what the year was actually like?

So, quality aside, do y’all feel like these lists are a more accurate representation of what the year was actually like? ...eh? At the end of the day it's pretty random and the further away we get from these years the more that calendar boundries are forgotten. It's slightly better, sure, but it's more so just interesting than a more legitimate form.

So, quality aside, do y’all feel like these lists are a more accurate representation of what the year was actually like? I actually think they are, despite some questionable listings. As much as I love "High Hopes" for instance, it was a late 2018/early 2019 hit, so it was favoured by the current formula and landed at #11, while more defining 2019 hits like "Truth Hurts" and "Señorita" landed below because they were at disadvantage for being released later. Under the January-December formula, "High Hopes" 's performance was nicely split between the two years, and I think it better represents the popularity of the song from a chart watcher's perspective. The 2018 charts you made also follow a similar idea, since the current formula also favours leftovers from the previous year (usually from the late summer season), and at least the leftovers on the lists you made feel more earned since they were actually hits during that period. Like, who on Earth was still listening to "Believer", "Shape Of You", or "Sorry Not Sorry" in 2018 - they have no business being there over proper, albeit minor 2018 hits.

This is SO COOL thank you for making these! I have a couple questions if that's ok
Where would you have had I Like It in 2019? Somewhat conspicuous absence because it would've gotten 14 weeks with three weeks top 30?
Also how accurate do you think these are? I know you have all the unchanged chart runs in the right order but when calculating all their point values have you ever gotten a mistake?
Lastly I think there's an issue on the 2019 list with Lover, it's been given 19 weeks and I think it only got 18. It also just seems too high in general, I think it would be below Hot so it might have had a January 2020 week added?

It also just seems too high in general, I think it would be below Hot so it might have had a January 2020 week added? Thanks for the input. I went back, and yeah, with Lover (plus a few other songs), I had counted one week twice. The issue has been corrected, and it doesn't affect any of the songs that were borderline. If you see anything else that looks off, let me know, but I did go back through all of the songs that were still charting during December 2019 and double checked. For the accuracy, aside from occasional screw ups (I'm doing this all mechanically rather than plugging it into a system), the numbers should be very accurate. I rely mostly on calculations made by the year end predictors throughout the year. It is worth noting though that those people did not post calculations for December 2015, so I had to give the best estimate for the 2015/2016 YEs. I Like It was in a near-tie with Walk Me Home. In other words, if my chart were equally as weak as the official chart, I Like It would have just barely scraped onto the list. It was 104 on my chart.

Caught between years -Water Under the Bridge this is the worst timeline While it would be quite a shame, When It Rains It Pours would replace it on my best list, which I'd argue is even better.

This is SO COOL thank you for making these! I have a couple questions if that's ok Where would you have had I Like It in 2019? Somewhat conspicuous absence because it would've gotten 14 weeks with three weeks top 30? Also how accurate do you think these are? I know you have all the unchanged chart runs in the right order but when calculating all their point values have you ever gotten a mistake? Lastly I think there's an issue on the 2019 list with Lover, it's been given 19 weeks and I think it only got 18. It also just seems too high in general, I think it would be below Hot so it might have had a January 2020 week added? Marry Me - 19 weeks (should be 18) When The Party's Over - 24 weeks (should be 23), says peak 28 and it was 29, and generally seems waaaaayyyy too low how on earth did losing the first 6 weeks at 59-52-52-68-69-77 drop it by 70,000 points? My Type - seems like there's an issue here. It's only 2,500 points above Worth It, even though it beat Worth It on the year end list and picked up an extra week at #50 so you'd think it would be at least 8000 points higher even if they were super close beforehand. It does matter a lot because it could easily jump up 4 spots if it turns out that week wasn't counted Also another Q how close was She Got The Best Of Me in 2018? I think it would have had like 19 weeks with a peak of 31 and IIRC a lot of time in the top 50, although it isn't a very good song.

I can't wait to see the 2016 list. I know One Dance is going to be the new #1, as Hello, Sorry, and Love Yourself had a heavy amount of their runs in December 2015. Hello is going to be a lot further down the list, maybe even outside the Top 25.

I corrected Marry Me and My Type, but I stand by When the Party's Over. It lost about 55k points from the 2018 weeks, and if that seems too high, remember that this was also during the Christmas weeks. Remember that the rimetm overpredicted it's position, which is why it's missing the extra 15k. I estimated its official YE position to be about 260.5k points. As for She Got the Best of Me, I had that song finishing #104 with about 187k points

Also, important announcement: I was successfully able to estimate the point differential that resulted from adding youtube to the formula in 2013, which means I was able to estimate that YE chart (albeit with a bit more estimation than the other charts). I'll try to figure out the 2012 formula change, which could be difficult since that was the year on-demand streaming was added in the first place.

As for She Got the Best of Me, I had that song finishing #104 with about 187k points Still though 260.5k - 55k would be 205.5k which would be around Swervin' which is a lot more feasible.
