Idk "Just for Now" sounds like a jam and a potential smash to me. There's a few other options I'd rather see them go with, but JFN pretty much sounds like a typical Maren Morris radio hit. I think it would definitely take off in ways that "To Hell & Back" never did.

It seems likely that if they're going to pull this, it'll be once it hits Top 40 on BB, since it's so close. And then if they don't, well... they must be in it for the long haul.
"Just for Now" would be a fine replacement single but still not what makes the most sense in my head. It is definitely catchy and sounds super HERO-esque. But, it would be insane to me to not push AMFP.

The two new songs kinda suck, but honestly the whole album is pretty basic. Girl, bones , a song for everything are the only outstanding songs on the album. The BO and Brandi songs are passable but not great.

It sounds like a smash and very HERO-esque/Maren but I really wish they'd go with something uptempo. It feels like they're consistently sticking to ballads/midtempos. Regardless, the sooner they pull To Hell & Back and push this, the better. Then maybe the final single of the era can be AMFP (and/or The Feels).

Speaking of the new songs she released a little while back. Have they been released on the physical versions of the album or are they download only? As I mentioned in the albums thread yesterday Old Dominion done the same thing they released 5 additional songs to their newest album. Which is why I’m asking if them and Maren both will re-release physical versions with the new songs

I don't really care for either of the new songs, but "Just For Now" is much better than the other one. I think they should just go with something from GIRL. She did post something on her Instagram about hearing this on the radio for the first time today, so I wonder if they are just in it for the long haul.

Maren may need to sit down and do a long thinking about what songs she is cutting on her albums. Since this song flopped, she is being beating out by another female artist who is not signed to a major label with a much better song.

Not every album track is meant to be chosen or promoted though. Since that's clearly the case here she definitely should regroup with another single or if not, go full swing with To Hell And Back and get radio on board.

Yeah I don’t think that what was cut was the problem... She had two obvious hits left on the album left after “The Bones” – “All My Favorite People” and “A Song For Everything”. That would’ve made it a perfect 4-single album cycle, at least for me.

I still love this song. Not surprised it underperformed but surprised it did that poorly. "Just For Now" is good too.. I don't know if it's enough to turn the project around at this point though.

"Loved By You" is doing great on the small markets without money backing her. Since she is up higher than Maren? I think Maren might look into those types of songs.

One flop from an otherwise very successful album does not mean that Maren Morris should be looking at a complete no name artist like Tiffany Woys. Maren Morris is still one of the most successful women in country music and she should not change her overall formula for music since she has one of the biggest hits across all genres with "The Bones"

At this point I think Maren should just find every song that Woys has done and record them.

It took Tiffany less weeks on the charts than To Hell and Back.

Why is Maren and everyone else acting like “Reimagined” is new and wasn’t released over a year ago? 🙄

Hmm, that's interesting... If this is just a strategy to sell/stream more, it is actually pretty funny 😂 Just say you're releasing brand new music, and see how many people get all excited and check it out because they missed it last year 😂
But in all seriousness, I'm guessing they must be officially re-releasing the Reimagined EP for some reason. It at least looks like it has new cover art (at least I'm assuming so). But if they were going to do something like that you would think they could add a couple new recordings or something. Not entirely sure what the point would be otherwise.

At this point, this song seems to be in it for the long haul. I imagine this song was released as a single because it means a lot to Maren. This song still has a lot of potential to grow but its slow ascent so far has been underwhelming and frustrating to watch. And while Maren and the label sticking with this as a single has really halted the momentum that came with the success of “The Bones”, I do hope this can still turn into a number one hit eventually.

Sorry to say this but this has absolutely no viable path to ever hitting #1. I do not see potential for this one at all. This is doing much worse than 80s Mercedes, I Could Use A Love Song, and Rich were doing at the same exact chart week. All of them were already charting inside the Top 30/40. And they all came before The Bones. This one has completely ruined the momentum Maren had from The Bones and they would be really wise to move on immediately. Honestly, radio should be jumping at to play Maren after such a gigantic hit. And yet...they aren’t budging at all. The first few weeks I would’ve understood because of The Bones’s recurrent play, but it has been months now so it is no longer an excuse but instead, it is really showing that the problem is the song itself. Radio just doesn’t want to play it. It is concerning that Maren & her label seems like they’re sticking to this one when it’s clear as day that this is not what the radio OR even the public wants as well as evident in its terrible streaming and selling performance. Bottom line, I say if they’re formidable at getting a better peak, then hold on til it hits Top 40 on Billboard and then let this one go. AMFP, TF, and JFN are all ready to smash and revive her momentum!

It is unfortunate that this song has underperformed so badly when it is up there as one of my favorite Maren songs and since it is following such a huge hit.

It is unfortunate that this song has underperformed so badly when it is up there as one of my favorite Maren songs and since it is following such a huge hit. I get it. To Hell & Back is personally one of my favorites from Maren as well. I also believe it is probably the fan favorite (not on Pulse but among her fans). It got the best reaction from crowds at her tour. The problem is that it never screamed “hit”. It is an album track at best. It’s like how sometimes fans complain about the gems never being released...but in this case, it should’ve never been released. Fan favorites does not equate to hits, and fans need to realize this. There were so much more potential in other songs from the album and I think that in a way, we all kinda knew this. After all, when The Bones was peaking back in February, and we were discussing what could be next, this song was not even mentioned once. It just has reached to the point where it’s time to cut their losses and move on instead of eradicating every bit of her momentum.

I'm honestly really surprised they haven't given up on this yet. The way this is failing to connect is pretty catastrophic for her momentum. Thankfully "The Bones" is such a massive hit that it is still having great recurrent play and was of course a big crossover hit, so it's definitely propping her/the album up for awhile, but she needs a new single to start working its way to hit status here soon and "To Hell & Back" is clearly not that song.

I know this single is pretty much finished, but damn I love these lyrics! Guess you don't always need to make an amazing deep cut a single. Wonder if she'll get prepped for another album after this is through.
