"It Must Be Love" is a FANTASTIC song which is why it's In my top 20, but tbh I seek Alan's out because the original is perfect lol. Don Williams has always been one of my favorite artists and vocalists. Something we can agree on for a change!

Oh goodness, I didn't think I had any lower numbers left other than my #41. Sorry to y'all! But if It makes you feel any better...I'm not the one who took this song out of the Top 10

"So You Don't Have To Love Me Anymore" is just such an interesting song lyrically. I love the perspective of the narrator loving his girl so much that when he sees the relationship ending, he is willing to make her hate him so that she can get on with her life as smoothly as possible and with less of a broken heart. It is so unusual for a song, and it honestly makes for some incredible lyrical moments. This should have been a huge hit for Alan, but unfortunately this stalling out was a pretty clear sign that radio was moving on from him.
"It Must Be Love" is one that I did not expect to rank quite as highly as I did! I have always enjoyed it, but did not realize just HOW much of a jam it was until this rankdown! The way those verses jump around makes this a really fascinating song vocally, and really allows Alan to show off his skills. The chorus is straightforward and fun, but it is those verses that really tie it all together and make this song the complete package. Very impressed with a top 15 showing for it!!!

Stats for #13: The next song to leave at lucky (or unlucky) number thirteen is our 12th least polarizing song as everyone but one participant put this in their top 40. This never was that strong of a top ten contender and it mostly spent its time hovering within the top 15. This did surprise everyone in a previous year-end rankdown, though, where it placed at #9. Interesting tidbit: Alan is superstitious and actually once omitted listing track #13 and put #14 instead on the Who I Am album Best rankdown position: 8 Worst rankdown position: 24 Average position: 22.58 SD Rank: 12th Lowest Ranking distribution:Top 10s: 4 11 to 20s: 4 21 to 30s: 4 31 to 40s: 6 41 to 50s: 1 51 to 60: 0 Bottom 5s: 0

Oops, I totally forgot to warn everyone that a #1 loss was imminent (sorry ClevelandRox!). "Dallas" is such a great song and one that I used to really love growing up. That said, overplay certainly played a small factor in my ranking for this and I still hear this on the radio to this day. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well this performed in Cody Wants Out... 1992 Year-End Rankdown where it made it into the top ten, so I was actually expecting somewhat of a similar outcome here. Much to my surprise, though, it never seemed to be a consistent top ten contender and only made its way into there a few times. Nonetheless, this is a classic song and one that many of you enjoy it seems!

"Dallas" is such a clever, creative song. It reminds me a lot of a song George Strait would do, (although his would probably be the other way around, wishing Tennessee could be in Texas, lol).

Stats for #12:
The next song to exit was written by another fellow country singer in which Alan scored yet another number one hit. This remained a very consistent top 15 contender for its run and even made its way into the top ten a few times. This garnered five top ten rankings as well as one top five which is actually someone's #2 ranked song! Surprisingly this only got one other top 20 ranking with the majority of the participants putting this in their to 30.

"Little Bitty" is such a clever song that I never get tired of hearing...and the video is just as funny! I have to say in doing this rankdown I feel like I've completely overlooked how great Alan's videos are and in knowing how shy he can be I'm surprised he's given us so many over the years. I can only assume that like George he has pretty good sense of humor about things as he always comes across as quite laid-back in them and is certainly never shy about having some fun in them.

I feel like "Monday Morning Church" has to be running out of steam by now; I wouldn't be surprised if that was left out of the Top 10

I agree, "Monday Morning Church" never felt like a top 10 contender to me. I would not be shocked at all to see it leave next. Although "Who's Cheatin' Who" is still one that I would have expected to leave awhile ago too...

Also, "Little Bitty" is so amazing!! One of the most undeniably catchy songs I have ever heard I suppose I could see where some might find it annoying, but to me it is one of those songs that NEEDS to be cranked up, and it's one of those rare songs like George's "Blue Clear Sky" where I could honestly listen to it 10 times on repeat every time it comes on and I would never get tired of it.

"Little Bitty" is a jam! Sad to see several songs that should have been in the top 10, leave in the top 20.

Stats for #11:
The last song to leave just shy of the top ten misses that mark by only seven points! This remained inside the top 20 for its entire run as it racked up four top ten rankings as well as one top five (which is someone's #2 ranked song!). The majority of the participants put this inside their top 30.

"Who's Cheatin' Who" is a fun, catchy jam, but is very much in the same vein for me as stuff like "I Don't Even Know Your Name" and "Summertime Blues". I am surprised to see it do so much better than many of his other uptempos! To me it is one of his songs that got overplayed to the point of unbearability, so I would have loved to have at least seen "Little Bitty" outlast it...
Now, what a solid top 10 we have!!!!
