Living on love, buying on time Without somebody nothing ain't worth a dime It's like that old fashioned storybook rhyme
It sounds simple that's what you're thinking Love can walk through fire without blinking It doesn't take much, when you get enough

Damn I was this close to flipping "Livin' On Love" and "Midnight In Montgomery" (my #2 and #1)! Those two were the only songs I considered for my #1, so I'm glad to see "Livin' On Love" take the whole thing! I wasn't really familiar with most of Alan Jackson's discography so this was a nice chance to familiarize myself with his songs. Thanks for hosting tim !

YES!! I would've been happy by the end of the rankdown with anything taking this, but I'm particularly glad to see "Livin' On Love" take the crown here. Like I said, this one just felt like the winner. Definitely one of his most iconic hits from an incredible discography. Thanks for hosting tim and I look forward to the eventual Alan Jackson Album Series!

And there you have it folks! As you can see both of these songs are amongst some of Alan's all-time greatest hits as well as fan favorites. The majority of the participants put both "Don't Rock the Jukebox" and "Livin' on Love" in their top 30 making them two of the least polarizing songs of the rankdown! I'd like to thank each and every one of you for going along with me as we revisited Alan's discography and for those that weren't all that familiar with him before this I hope you discovered some songs that you liked. After this I myself have a much greater appreciation for not just his body of work but for Alan as a songwriter. This was a trip down memory lane for me and I share of lot of those early moments with my late mother. I'd be lying if I didn't say that there were a few times during this that I both laughed and cried thinking back on all of those wonderful memories that I'll forever cherish. Also, thanks to Cody Wants Out... for letting me take the reins on this I really do appreciate that! The ride is just beginning, though, as y'all can expect an album series rankdown coming your way shortly as well as an extras rankdown sometime in the near future. Thanks again y'all!

YES!!!!! I love that it was "Livin' On Love", and that it wasn't even close!!!! That chorus opener of "Livin' on love, buyin' on tiiiiiiime" is one of the most definitive and immediate lines of Alan's entire career. It's one of those melodies that grabs your soul and yanks it right out of your body for a moment because it's just THAT good. Plus this is one of those songs that is made even more perfect simply because it is sung by Alan. NOBODY else could have done this quite as well as him. Many of his best songs could have been done justice by George, Clay, Tracy Lawrence, or any number of his contemporaries, but this is one of those songs that imo just would not be quite as magical with anybody else. Thank you for hosting tim, and it is SO nice to finally have Alan join the list of rankdown winners!!!!

The top 3 played out exactly how I wanted it to! "Livin' On Love' is a beautiful song but I wouldn't have pegged it as the winner! Not upset tho. Thanks for hosting tim I actually enjoyed this!

If I had to point to one song that made me a country fan as a little kid, it was “Livin’ on Love.” So upbeat and wholesome with fantastic music and a great melody. I have vague memories in the mid-90’s as a toddler with my dad in the car and that song was playing. “Midnight In Montgomery” is an all-timer for me, so it barely edged it out in my rankings but thrilled it won. Thanks for hosting, tim :)

I love "Livin' On Love", despite my ranking (35). I love most of his discography. Not a bad song in the entire Top 10 so I'm good with the results, only one that SHOULD have been here that wasn't is "Gone Crazy". That song is just incredible

Oh wow, it wasn't even close! I wanted "Jukebox" to win, but "Livin' on Love" is quite the jam as well! It is my mom's favorite Alan Jackson song.

I had a feeling that Livin' On Love would be the one song universally loved enough to take it, and I'm thrilled I was right. Such an iconic melody, quite possibly best all-around song. My entire top 5 was almost interchangeable, so it's great to see one of those win. Looking forward to the album series. Who I Am and Everything I Love, in particular, are two of the deepest albums I've ever heard.
