Well, now I know why. I happened to have my CHR station tuned in while out and about just now, because the song playing on both my country and HAC stations were ones that I instantly turn the dial on...and all of a sudden I heard: Billboard baby, Dua Lipa make 'em dance when they come on/Everybody lookin' for a dance floor to run on.

I just turned the radio off altogether.

If your finger's that quick on the dial why don't you just keep it on through Dua's parts and turn it off during the DaBaby part? I suggest writing or calling your station if you're not listening if they play him. They care about their advertising $.

The promoted version should have been Madonna and Missy Elliott set to the original music. Why their talents were relegated to a club album that came and went so swiftly... Least we would have heard the two Ms on top 40 radio. Would it have been as successful without the DaBaby feature? Perhaps not quite as much, but still would have been a decent hit.

Yeah Rockstar went #1 and was a big hit, but it was never close to The Box in terms of relevancy. The Box was actually an inescapable smash, whenever I hear it I instantly get flashbacks to late 2019 and early 2020 right up until the pandemic because that's when The Box was everywhere. You can play it and everybody knows all the words.

Levitating never hit #1 but it's also bigger than Rockstar, not just in stats but also just culturally. There's a reason why the song and Dua was trending on Twitter the same day DaBaby made those statements at Rolling Loud, despite the fact he's collaborated with a billion other people, because Levitating is just that big of a hit.
