I LOVE "Independence Day" and "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" but other than that Martina doesn't have many songs that appeal to me. She has a wonderful voice, but *shrugs*

Better be a big and shocking reveal after waiting 20 mins for it girl it takes a while to do these write-ups! and I like building suspense either way by stretching out by a few minutes. plus i need to make sure everything is correct because i'm done getting dragged by some of y'all lol

Carrie - there is no denying CARRIE is beautiful and an amazing vocalist. My issue with her has always been for every song I LOVE she has two I HATE. She’s very inconsistent with song choices and has made some horrific single choices. Her impact on the genre has been amazing but she isn’t my favorite.
Miranda - The recent double album aside, she always delivers with her records and I love her songwriting style. She’s softened a bit over the years but that’s a good thing.
Shania - My first favorite artist and in her prime the best live entertainer there was. I LOVE Shania and what she did to open doors for female artists is just legendary. Her songs are still iconic over 20 years later. She is true royalty and I’m so happy she did well here.
Martina - Hands down the best female vocalist. She can over sing at times but the only thing that held her back from being even bigger than she was were some poor single choices and her desire to sing three too many inspirational songs. When she is on, there’s not many who were as good as her though.

I have always really liked “A Little Bit Stronger” because someone I know who really likes that song had cancer while that song was big. She is recovered now though which is great.
“Suds In The Bucket” is still a jam too.

Sara is just so, so, so good. It’s funny because Born To Fly is a song I don’t really even love and is FAR from my fav by her and it’s still better than some of the “signature songs” from artists in this rankdown lol.

Question - do y’all consider Born to Fly her signature song?
I definitely understand that...but I think A Little Bit Stronger is close to that. I will never forget that comeback ACM performance where she got a standing O. Highest selling song too.

There; have a reveal!!! Kicking off the Top 5 is Sara Evans...who has QUITE a large following around here. She is consistently winning full-genre rankdowns (and would've won another one today if miss raylatch hadn't gone out of his way to tank the hell out of her ). Outside of Pulse, Sara has five #1 hits but a ton of radio flops because they gave her a wild roller-coaster of a chart history! Sara is another artist whose debut album was neo-traditional...followed by a more country pop sound. Her latest album, Copy That, will be released this May 15! Among her biggest hits are "Born To Fly," "No Place That Far," "Suds In the Bucket," "A Real Fine Place to Start," and "A Little Bit Stronger," which was notably penned by Lady A's Hillary Scott...and was sadly her last #1 hit. The hardcore Sara stans ( .indulgecountry and bigfan101) lose a #1 along with d3vin44, followed by 16 other Top 20 ranks!

The first song that comes to mind whenever I think of Sara is "A Little Bit Stronger", but that might be just because that's my favorite song of hers. Many times even though an artist may have bigger hits later in their career, the early hits always reign supreme in people's heads.

Just interested what people think of first when they think Sara Evans. For me, it’s A Little Bit Stronger.

I literally have no idea if "Born to Fly" or "A Little Bit Stronger" is her signature song because the only person I've met irl who knew who she was hated Sara because her music was played way too much when she was growing up. Country just isn't her thing but the constant shoving down her throat didn't do favors for her apparently.
Maybe she's just one of those artists who has multiple signature songs. That's possible, right?
