Reba has now had a top 20 on Billboard Hot Country Songs (now country AirPlay) in the 70’s-2020’s due to her appearance on “Be a Light”. That is 6 decades! I actually think I like Reba herself more than a lot of her music tbh.
Really fun ranking! Thank you to the hosts, other participants and all the other 🤠 fans.

Favorite Dixie Chicks song - “Goodbye Earl” but their new one is actually up there for me as well!
Favorite George Strait songs - “Love Without End Amen”, “Give It Away”, “She Let Herself Go”, “Troubadour” and “I Cross My Heart”.
Favorite Dolly song - “9 to 5”
Favorite Reba song - “Somebody” I think...maybe “Consider Me Gone”.

Hey my top 2 was the top 2 in reverse order! In fact, I contemplated ranking Reba at #1 before giving it to Dolly! Amazing! PS: I’m gonna post my top 10 commentary when I get out of bed

Reba deserved this and was my prediction to win from the start! Such a deserving winner! She is an inspiration and talented! The woman can do it all!
George Strait being the highest ranking male will get no complaints from me.
The Chicks doing so well warms my heart.
Thanks for putting this on, the overall list is really good. Almost perfect, honestly.

One omission for me was Brooks & Dunn. They probably should have been in here over Sam Hunt, Rascal Flatts or Luke Combs.

Time to comment on the top 10: 10. Tim McGraw: I have talked about him in other replies. 9. Carrie Underwood: Yes she has that worldwide appeal because American Idol is popular worldwide. I just think there are so many better vocalists than her (in this list, and many outside this list) and she is not an album artist. She has some great songa but put them in an album and they become a tiring listen. Not to mention when she sounds more country in first two albums her vocals are so blunt. Then on later albums like the newest one we get some truly horrendous production like That Song... 8. Miranda Lambert: Her creativity juice is underrated. 7 albums and 3 more for a group in 14 years with a very wide style of songs though...I hope more people would buy her concert tickets though because she is quite weak in that component given she is awarded a lot. 7. Shania Twain: Come On Over is an iconic album and she has some iconic looks from music videos. Also worldwide appeal. However Up! and especially Now are duds, mostly from very weird production choices. 6. Martina McBride: Nah sbe is definitely more talented than Celine Dion who is AC singer. Martina has some jams like When God-Fearin' Women Get the Blues. But her tendency to rely on overdramatic stories and AC ballads ultimately make me put her outside top 10. 5. Sara Evans: I find her problem similar to Carrie's, but I like her hit songs more. Also what is her makeup (and some other artists like Ashley Monroe for the matter) lately? Stop overdoing it. 4. Dixie Chicks: I like their niche as string-heavy group at that time. I don't really like Not Ready To Make Nice or the parent album, or Gaslighter the single much but I really enjoy Sin Wagon, Goodbye Earl, Travelin' Soldier, etc, hence my middle rank. 3. George Strait: He is an ultimately safe yet consistent artist (except Stars On The Water), so even though he has some masterpiece of songs, I don't think I would listen to him whole day. I love artists who take more risks and write own (equally good or better) songs better. 2. Dolly Parton: When you legitimately have a pop career and you are still regarded as one of country music icons given that all traditional country music fans hate country crossovers...just proves you are an exceptional talent! And that's exactly who Dolly is. Her voice in 70s era is so angelic and I couls listen to her voice whole day because how emotional but not overly sentimental she sounds. And the songwriter who writes Jolene and I Will Always Love You on the same day? Songwriting queen. Plus a likeable personality and humorous person. She is an icon deserves to be followed! 1. Reba McEntire: Well if anyone ends up winning over Dolly it's got to be Reba lol. Two things that she is more iconic than Dolly Parton include music videos (which is quite good when comparing most of its kind) and more relevant works like excellent album Stronger Than The Truth, Reba the TV show, hosting the ACM Awards show last year, etc. Her longevity is LONG. Thanks for lady𝓐fan and taylor for hosting this.

Great finish to this! I'm thrilled that Reba won, and her and Dolly as the top 2 seems very fitting. Thanks to the hosts for hosting this rankdown! It was nice to revisit the careers of some of country's biggest stars and most important artists.
