As for Nick/The House, the first post where I was suspicious of Nick was here: Lol I canβt take myself seriously, Vote: NickIt was still RVS so take that into consideration but this immediately read like 'mafia trying too hard to be spontaneous'. I've done self-votes at the beginning before too but this came after almost two pages of other posts and felt out of place. It wasn't a 'let's start talking', and it just instantly gave me concern on them. I voted Coco for dissing Selegend, and then jokingly immediately put the vote on myself for actually trying to argue it wasn't warranted. Just a joke, not even a good one, and one that was hindered by an unfortunate page break. Yeah that's just how I do it. My availability doesn't really allow me to just respond to stuff as soon as it happens, so I have to address a few points at once, and I find it easier to read with beat by beat line breaks. That's my way of gathering thoughts in general, I do the same in other places on the board and even groupchats. Just me. For the record I'm taking the bolded as a compliment in regard to my above explanation so aww thanks Like I said, I don't necessarily think Gabe is scum. But I do find what he's done more questionable than anyone else so far, so that's where my vote is. I don't like not having a vote somewhere, so that's where it is until I find a better reason to put it elsewhere. He hasn't even said anything since the "obviously scum" comment, so I wanna see where that goes. I haven't played with half the people in here and it's been like 5 years since I played with the other half, so I can't really depend on vibes. I don't know/remember exactly how people play, so I gotta use my own judgment. Oh I don't think he doesn't want discussion (although he hasn't participated in it much to be fair), I was just arguing him over the fact that I disagree on the idea of no lynch, and that that does not make me scum. Hope that clears it up.

JeeZ, I go watch one world and do other stuff and come back to a ton of action in here. And now itβs 3:30am so Iβm too tired to even read through everything. But I donβt want to be sketchy and make it seem like Iβm being avoidant so this is my obligatory check-in and Iβll be here in the morning/early afternoon to actually catch up.

Plurality lynch means whoever has the most votes at the end of the day is lynched regardless of whether or not the majority threshold was reached. Itβs designed to compensate for inactive players, but it also just allows scum to coast and stay off mislynches entirely so I hate it. Okay yeah that's clearer and makes me feel a bit better about you. VOTE: The HouseGonna need you to town up mate~ and how exactly should I do that? Should I put us back in RVS?

In the past I've relied on my aries intuition and threw out accusations based on small details. Mostly got it wrong until later on but having read through nothing stands out more to me than Lukas not playing and then making a vote on Mylo without explanation and then bouncing again.
As I said earlier Gabe attitude was pointed and a tad dismissive and I've been grappling with is that a scum read throwing us off cause town would wanna explain so if he was scum why do that. So I let that be for now.
Kunt pointing to my Selena related joke while not scrolling up to see the temperature did throw me off. He made it seem like I posted out of nowhere to say something random but didnt take to account the previous posts were addressing me so I posted to acknowledge them. The accusations rather than asking me questions felt like a bandwagon but in hindsight that is Kunt being kunt and maybe he was gleaming for information.
Max has made a few middle of the road posts urging us to play but not getting a vibe.
Anyone I havent mentioned hasnt jumped out at me as of yet.
So I'm going back to my initial eyebrow raise. I'm putting my vote on Lukas because if I'm going to be wrong and play of a hunch it might as well be someone who has refused? Doesnt have time? To add to the conversation. I just find it suspicious to have only 1 accusations post and not elaborate or come back and add thoughts.

Iβd still like to hear from Max as well tbh
vote: Carrie
Idk, something about the way sheβs playing just seems like sheβs trying too hard to play up the βIβm newβ card. I do like what Coco is saying now, though, and agree that Lukasβ conduct has been... not great at best.

Checking in and catching up! A few thoughts (and quoted posts) Unjustified and almost certainly inaccurate tone reading ranking now that everyone has posted once (from town to scum): Max Carrie Zeebz Coco Lukas Gabe The House Nick If I call TH/Nick scum day 1 like I did on that teeny 7 player game Imma be happy lol. VOTE: NickI like lists like these but how did Mylo come up with a list like this based on pretty much Selena-phase posts? And how was I his most town-lean based on whatever I had posted up to this point? Unless this post itself is a Gomez-phase post, I'm tagging it here. nevermind, Kunt does draw attention to it a few posts down: How is it even possible to rank Max Gabe and Lukas when theyβve said like one thing a piece? I kinda canβt tell if thatβs a joke or not but lol ok. Not to punt kick RVS but I do actually want to say that Carrie asking if no lynch is ever a good option is a weird question that, by the numbers, just seems like an anti-town idea the propose and gabe totally bypassing RVS to play βhelpful townβ then duck out caught my attention. The bit about Carrie I think is worth asking but also why I like to know the experience level of players. I don't think it's necessarily a scum-tell but can be a legit question. No Lynch has been a legit tactic used before if I'm remembering it right. I forget whether it ended up helping town win but it was an agreed upon decision. I'm actually of the opinion that a no lynch on day 1 isn't 100% bad. There's going to be a night kill regardless, and if discussion doesn't lend itself anywhere by the end of the first day phase, it's essentially a shot in the dark anyway. At least with a night kill, you have something substantial to go off of. With that said, deciding to no lynch any time before the last 5 minutes is just bad gameplay and I definitely wouldn't advocate for that. Me thinks Carrie was planning ahead, either as a scum or because she wants to be lazy. FOS here. i'm not talking much because all you're doing is adding to the paranoia and if you keep doing that it's gonna turn out like mylo's Right now there's 7 town and 2 mafia. And at this moment, we don't really have any clues. That means that if we random lynch someone, there's a 7/9 chance they're town. I don't like those odds and I'm not willing to random lynch someone at this point because we still have a huge majority. It's not like we're gonna lose majority tomorrow This strikes me more as bad newbie town-play or lazy play at most. It doesn't read to me as scum - at this point anyway. Oh cool weβre in this now. I appreciate Kunt trying to push things in the right direction, but the sudden push on Coco does seem a bit suspicious. Her comments in the past three hours have been no less substantial than anyone elseβs. Gabe promoting no lynch is also bad. Yeah, it would suck if we lynch town, but it would suck more if we lynch nobody and give scum a free kill. So Vote: Gabe for now This post kind of rubs me the wrong way. I'm not entirely sure just yet. Nick calls out Kunt for being overly aggressive, which is his normal gameplay, but in being focused on specific people, which he is kind of doing. But then lays a vote down on Gabe for a reason Kunt called out earlier, citing "it would suck more if we lynch nobody and give scum a free kill." Scum gets that free kill regardless. It's in their contract. Could this be a distancing attempt from Kunt by nick? 7/9 chance we lynch town. if that's a chance you're willing to take, you're obviously scum then because it works in your favor. town dies during night phase regardless which just dwindles our numbers, and historically night kills tell town absolutely nothing. Even if we mislynch during the day, we can at least look at who voted what to determine information. This is a good reminder, even for myself, and honestly, kind of a kick in the bum for me too. I guess I still like to believe that night kills potentially can lead us somewhere but they can be an array of reasons why scum choose who they choose. During day lynches, there's more people to actually work around where every vote you place can be used against you. That's something scum have to be most careful about so yeah, despite what I said before, day lynches are probably more important than night kills for us in determining who scum is. No Lynch should be an absolute last resort and only if it comes down to a numbers thing. (ie, dwindling town numbers, etc). I'd say I'm feeling good about Carrie/Zeebz right now. Definitely want more from them but Carrie's first post felt decently townie and Zeebz has appeared helpful and consideration. I was going to put Max here but their weird attack of Gabe feels off to me. I'm not sure about Gabe's prior mafia knowledge but their out-there style didn't really hit as 'scum trying to get town to do wrong' and I'm surprised it seems like some people, notably Max and Nick, appeared to think it was. I'm not sold on Gabe either way but I doubt that their plan as scum would be to try to get a no lynch going that no one else really wanted. I actually find it weird that you think my post at Gabe was a "weird attack". Not to be defensive but what was weird about it? He essentially said he didn't see a point in posting when there's nothing to post about. Is it unreasonable that that could be seen as him having something to hide? I mean, he obviously wouldn't come out and say it but if you're scum and you're not super sure how to maneuver that, you're probably not going to want to say a lot and when you're pushed to say more, it might be frustrating. To be clear, I don't necessarily think Gabe is scum and I already said that above, but it could be seen as him having something to hide. That's what I was getting at there. This is also weird to me too. RVS is the annoying first phase of day 1 that can last a varying amount of time depending on the game and players, but it's almost never a clear cut line and can be gradual depending on how involved people are in the game. Nick voting for himself when he did the way he did is hardly a point against him so it's such an odd thing to cling to to use against him - yet it's something to cling to when you're looking for anything to use against someone. And that catches me up to now. So far the focus has been on Gabe and I just don't see it based on how little he's actually giving us. But he makes for a great scapegoat. vote: Mylo

#Mod: Please use Selena Gomez full name or last name to refer to RVS to avoid disparaging the good name of the real one-name legend Selena.

Unvote: Mylo because having read through the entire thread more closely I think I voted too blindly and without drawing up enough info by myself.
After reading through the thread closely the thing that stands out the most to me is Lukas posting only once or twice in this thread to randomly vote Mylo with no info or reasoning as to why he voted Mylo. I know I had done that but I had eventually come back and explained why I'd voted Mylo--even if it was blind--whereas Lukas never added any reasoning and hasn't come back since. It just seems quite suspicious to me and even if it's another wrong hunch I might as well add some pressure while we wait for him.
Vote: Lukas

Ok that last post by Max makes me feel better. He seems to be leaning town overall for me based on his helpfulness for now or he could be one heckuva player but yeah leaning town.
Until we hear from him
Unvote: Lukas
Also would like to hear from Gabe as well so we can make an informed decision

I want to hear more out of them. Still FOS Carrie, but something really should be said by now. That also applies for Gabe. Now that weβve gotten the call rolling, I canβt imagine thereβs literally nothing to contribute.
Iβd like to ask a question for everyone too: how do we think town could most effectively use the power rolls? Thatβs something weβve all kind of glossed over, but right now who would the cop most benefit from investigating tonight? The other role seems useful for stalling, but maybe thereβs some utility there.

Hm.
Liking Maxβs thorough review, thereβs a lot there to consider. Definitely leaning Town, for now. Itβs nice to see Carrie pop in, even if it is just to apply pressure to someone who is inactive without much else to add. I donβt know if I feel that this is sus or not, but either way it isnβt sitting too well with me? Iβm gonna give her the benefit of the doubt and assume sheβs just new, but light FOS there.
As far as power roles go, I think it could be helpful for the Cop to investigate someone who hasnβt been around as much, thus allowing for the conversation on Day 2 to be steered either toward them or away from them. I mention this because it seems that we have several players who either havenβt added anything or havenβt really brought much to the table and it wouldnβt be fruitful to waste another Day discussing people who may just be lazy townies as oppose to people who are genuinely sus or that we donβt have strong Town reads on.. I recognize that this is a shot in the dark, though, and Iβm not sure how helpful it would be? Just thought that since we have so little to go off of and such an insistence on not participating it may help. Would love to hear more from everyone in regards to that question.
Iβm not liking this insistence on not adding anything? Even just engaging with questions that people bring up (such as Kuntβs power role question that was asked), posting more detailed thoughts on behaviors, or just further explanations as to why you think someone is Town or why they are sus. These will help us make more informed decisions going forward.

Also, it appears that Lukas has not been active since 3 PM yesterday so I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and just assume he hasnβt been able to pop in yet? Why he didnβt clarify before that? No clue. Obviously not an excuse and I still want to hear more/Iβm not willing to move my vote quite yet until we do, but just a thought.

Likewise, in regards to Cocoβs above post, I missed Myloβs post regarding Kunt, but upon further inspection it appears that he apparently said this: Sidenote: holy hell that was a world wall initially lol mylo, I would love some explanation regarding this? Are there specific examples of Kunt not feeling energetic or less clearly Town? Iβm not sure how a lack of readability automatically correlates with him being scum, but any insight you have would be appreciated!

Not FOS yet but I need to know more into the line of thinking. By no means am I defending Kunt either I have zero read on him. Nil

I quoted partially for my sake as well, his post ended up being buried at the bottom of the last page and when you mentioned his random vote I was confused that he hadnβt said anything, even. Whoops! But he makes for a great scapegoat. vote: MyloIn case it wasn't clear, the post was unjustified and mostly arbitrary. I wanted to start discussion and I thought a ranked list based off what was coming to me straight away would be helpful to get my thoughts in order. Your singular post felt different to last game so I put you first as it was the clearest town lead I had. It is nice to see we both found suspicion in that Nick post though~ The 'weird attack' on Gabe is literally for the point you make later, Gabe is a great scapegoat. I'm glad you said it because that's essentially what I've been trying to say lol. If they're town - which they could well be from the information we've got - then these pushbacks against them could very easily hold a mafia or two coasting on an easy target. I might've confused you with the more aggressive pushers of Nick/TH but I wasn't a fan of anyone who actively found Gabe suspicious for something that felt so blatantly 'new player' regardless of alignment. As for Is it unreasonable that that could be seen as him having something to hide? I'd say yes but that's my personal standpoint. When I started mafia I often had nothing to say (As both alignments but particularly town) and so I completely understand where Gabe could be at if they were town. Sometimes when starting out you don't know what to say and assuming that equates to something to hide is, at least for me, completely the wrong way to think. I hated getting suspicion thrown my way when I just felt overwhelmed and without anything to add to the conversation. I don't even particular town read Gabe here but the suspicions thrown their way thus far have rung hollow for me. Also Max, I think you can absolutely get scum and town tells from RVS. I don't really know why people discount any posts made in game, scum doesn't magically act like they would as town in RVS. Obviously it's far less clear in RVS compared to actual discussion but that post was enough to figuratively stop me in my tracks while reading the game and go ' Maybe Nick is scum trying to act fun and casual'. This is why Nick was lowest on my ranking, and helped fuel my original suspicion of them. Hopefully that's clear? Okay yeah that's clearer and makes me feel a bit better about you. VOTE: The HouseGonna need you to town up mate~ Wait missed this. Where is this coming from? You said prior to that you had no opinion on him and then when pressed by Zeebs you randomly threw this out here ππ we arent in the jokey stage anymore so this is as f**ked up as Lukas random vote. Explain?? In case you missed this as well, I read nothing from The House which leads me to believe they could be scum lacking the usual town energy they have. I mentioned my suspicion multiple times and clarified with Zeebz about this so feel free to read, or even re-read, those suspicions . But I'd definitely like to see more from The House that can help shape my thoughts on him. I'll get them in a sec haha, I need to get ready for (online) school

Deadline has been set for 04/20/2020 at 8:30 PM EST
I'm giving Lukas till the morning. I dont wanna put him at 1 vote to lynch. I think he has 3? But if he doesnt start playing i have no choice to vote him to be the lynch.
It's one thing to be busy but I mean come on.
Also gives me time to figure out Gabe as suspicious couple of his posts are would scum play that way? I dunno. Could be a throw off but judging by his non game timeline that I looked at he is naturally that way.

yall better start leaning to savor my words if you want to hear from me so bad. i've made it clear that i think the people pushing to lynch someone who showed no reason to be sus are sus. I don't necessarily think you're being unreasonable but we still need something to go off and I don't think it's unreasonable for us to at least aim toward a lynch even though there's no hard evidence. I think you're take of essentially doing nothing and waiting for something to happen is doing nobody (including yourself) any favours. At the very least, ask questions, generate discussion. Here's one for you: What do you think could be learned by a night kill? Let's say we go your route and lynch nobody for Day 1. So then Day 2 begins, and we have the results of the night 1 kill. What's the first thing you as a player would do with those results? Or what would you suggest us all to do with those results?
