Well, 4 out of 5 ain't bad. Surprised to see Kellie miss though, I didn't expect it to be so polarizing. By far my favorite song of hers.
Pretty solid top 10, a couple of songs I don't like, but I knew they'd do well.

I'm really happy with the majority of the top 10 but sad that "100 Proof" wasn't able to make it, same with "Pontoon". Would swap those 2 with "Postcard From Paris" and "Time Is Love" TBH. Not to say those two are bad by any means just out of these 12 songs they'd be the lowest for me.

"Eighteen Inches" and "100 Proof" missing the Top 10 is an absolute travesty. Mess!
Had no idea "Eighteen Inches" was co-written by Carrie; now I want her to put it on an album lol

Taking my stab @ predictions:
01. Blown Away 02. Let It Rain 03. Neon 04. Over You 05. Springsteen 06. Time Is Love 07. Even If It Breaks Your Heart 08. The Sound of a Million Dreams 09. Postcard from Paris 10. I'm Gonna Love You Through It
Not a bad top 10 overall, but I absolutely hate two of these...

This is a pretty stacked top 10! I'm glad that Martina was able to make it in because "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" is such a gut-wrenching song and one that I also thought might get overlooked. Also talk about a surprise to see not one but two David Nail songs make it in! I did think that "Let It Rain" had a good shot at making it this far, but I would've guessed that "The Sound of a Million Dreams" might only be a top 20 contender.
I really have no idea how this is going to play out, so I'm not even going to try and make any predictions otherwise I'll just be left with egg on my face lol. I will make one prediction though and say that "Blown Away" will likely come out on top.

I think it's cute that everybody is assuming Martina is going to make the top 10. Like I agree that she should, but we've watched so many of her top-10-worthy songs die in the 11-15 range very consistently in the last several year-end rankdowns that had roughly the same group of participants.... I hope y'all are right! But I am keeping my expectations low. wait till he sees this Top 10 y'all

Sad to see some of these songs leave though :( "100 Proof" especially I thought deserved to be a dark horse contender to win this whole thing. Such a beautiful song! Kellie's transformation from bubblegum pop-infused country music to stone cold country music was delicious, and she deserved better. It would be fun to do an album rankdown for 100 Proof someday!

#10. The Band Perry - "Postcard from Paris"
Total Points: 769 Average: 34.9 Year Released: March, 2012 Mediabase Peak: #5 Billboard Peak: #6
Rankings:
Following:
"Postcard from Paris" was released as the fifth and final single off The Band Perry's self-titled debut album in March of 2012. It peaked at #5 on Mediabase in early August. The song was written by The Band Perry, Jeff Cohen and Kara DioGuardi. Don't like Kimberly's vocals but I have a less problem with this song than "All Your Life," since the melody is pretty good and it's catchy. Not something I would go out of my way to listen to but not bad.

I'm surprised the Eli Young Band made it this far. It's a pretty stacked top 5. I'd love to see either Miranda, Eric or Carrie take it though. I think that's our top 3, but it's hard to predict the order. I'll guess it goes:
5. Even If It Breaks Your Heart 4. Let It Rain 3. Springsteen 2. Over You 1. Blown Away

It reached #1 in July and became the band's second mainstream country radio #1 hit. The song was written by Eric Paslay and Will Hoge. It was first recorded in 2009 by Hoge for his album, The Wreckage. It went on to be certified two-times platinum and had strong recurrent play long after it exited the charts.
Great song and was the clear choice for the second single when I first heard the album. It's pretty simple but the way the song is constructed is very effective and that hook is one of the best I've heard in any country single. I remember it being everywhere when it was out. Going for your dreams is a common subject in country music but "Even If It Breaks Your Heart" gives you the cold hard truth that yeah, the dream may not come true and it may break your, but keep dreaming anyway. Never give up. Thrilled this did so well here, since I know EYB has had tanks in past rankdowns.

I have my 1, 6, and 16 left. I'd be fine with any of them winning, though of course more rooting for my #1 but I absolutely would LOVE to see my #6 win so rooting for either of those the most!

#3. Eric Church - "Springsteen"
Total Points: 561 Average: 25.5 Year Released: February, 2012 Mediabase Peak: #1 Billboard Peak: #1 Rankings:austin - 1 recordyear - 1 someguy - 1 fearlessarrow - 2 gardyfan - 2 ClevelandRox - 3 tim - 4 kw9461 - 6 fireflies - 8 lady𝓐fan - 8 raylatch98 - 15 bboat11 - 16 castleoblivion26 - 16 toomuchboy - 16 dgarcia3377 - 19 zaclord 🌈 - 19 sabre14 - 43 LBTrocks - 49 Cody Wants Out... - 59 bigfan101 - 80 Kanenrá:ke - 82 .indulgecountry - 111 Following: taylor"Springsteen" was released as the third single off Eric Church's Chief album in February of 2012. It soared to #1 by June and spent two weeks there. It went on to be Eric Church's best-selling single, being certified five-times platinum by the RIAA. It was the ninth-most heard song on country radio in 2012 and one of the most played songs on country radio over the next five years. The song was written by Eric, Jeff Hyde and Ryan Tyndall.
I like "Springsteen" and thought it was a no-brainer for radio, but I'll admit, I didn't see it becoming the megahit it turned out to be. I know a few friends who will say this song made them a country music fan, that's the kind of power it had. It's certainly one of the most popular country songs of the last decade.
