Stats for #16:
It doesn't give me any pleasure to reveal this next song as it was a top 15 contender right up until the rug was pulled out from under it at the last moment. This is the first song to depart that was also a #1 contender very early on and maintained its top 10 status before being hit with a near bottom 5 (just so happens to be the only participant who predicted this would be a bottom 5 contender!). Five participants lose a top 10 ranking while the only two top 5s belong to myself and another who both lose their top ranked song.

"Soon You'll Get Better" is a touching song, but it errs a bit on the meh side for me musically, and I'm still disappointed that the feature was wasted because the news of her collaborating with The Chicks had me much more exciting than the final product we received.
"Nice Things" is great, but most of Mickey Guyton's work is excellent by comparison, and this just didn't stack up for me. If it were her debut single or something like "Why Baby Why" instead she would've been in my top 20.

If I had to lose my #1 I'm glad that I wasn't alone. Considering that castleoblivion26 and myself are huge fans of the LAW, I wasn't surprised to see him join me in putting this song at the top of his list. There might just be some redemption, however, as he's just about to jump into the reveals for the The Way I'm Livin' album rankdown in which I'm hoping for a different outcome there.

Dolly Parton ”Blue Smoke“ Climbin' up the mountain, climbin' round the bend Blue smoke is the name of the heartbreak train That I am ridin' in Left a note I wrote I'm leaving, won't be coming back Blue smoke rolling, rolling, rolling Rolling, rolling down the track
Mickey Guyton ”Better Than You Left Me“ You said goodbye with words cold as ice I was shaking watching you go, I couldn't breathe No, I just couldn't see past you leaving me here all alone It's funny what a little time does, baby
I'm stronger than the woman, the one that you knew back then So don't you think I'll take you back like every time before No, baby I don't think you know me anymore I'm better than you left me
Reba McEntire ”All the Women I Am“ I'm a mother of lost causes, a sister of the road I give my heart to a song, but I never sell my soul I'm good at keeping it together when the edges start to fray
Sometimes I'm hard to handle Burn hotter than a candle, but I melt in the right hands Boy you love without condition It ain't always easy livin' with all the women I am ”Storm In a Shot Glass“ Here comes the lightning flashes, hjere comes the thunder crashes Here comes the tears like falling rain and it ain't gonna blow through fast Gonna be hours before it's passed Wouldn't sit there and I sure wouldn't ask Better step back, that's a storm in a shot glass
The Chicks Natalie Maines ”Without You“ I'll keep on healing all the scars That we've collected from the start I'd rather this than live without you For every wish upon a star That goes unanswered in the dark There is a dream, I've dreamt about you
And from afar, I lie awake Close my eyes to find I'd never be the same Court Yard Hounds (Martie Maguire and Emily Robison) ”The Coast“ I'm gonna head down to the coast Where nothin' ever seems to matter You know I love it there the most When every piece of my world gets scattered
I'm gonna leave my old winter coat And I won't even need a sweater I'm gonna sit out on a boat 'Cause it's time for some sunny weather
Lee Ann Womack ”All the Trouble“ It's hard being little, it’s hard being small Make it up that mountain, you're gonna stand up big and tall Well the trouble with the mountain, there's a million ways to fall
Well it started with a dirt pile and a couple drops of rain Then the storm and the wind And the thunder and the lightning came Somebody give me shelter, I’ve had all I can take

Before I reveal the next set of five songs later this evening, I first wanted to showcase our next honorable mentions! Amongst those that I'll be highlighting include Jewel who charted three songs on the country charts from her album Stay Here Forever along with Sheryl Crow who also charted three songs from her 2013 album, Feels Like Home, including a top 20 and top 30 hit. Also showcased is the Nashville series which ran for six seasons and featured songs written by such singer-songwriters as Sarah Buxton who was previously featured in the last series for the Country Girls of the 2000s. And I'd be remiss if I didn't highlight Kelly Clarkson who not only charted a top 30 country single herself but also had a #1 country hit on the Jason Aldean duet "Don't You Wanna Stay" in 2011. She was also featured on Trisha Yearwood's "Prizefighter" in 2014 and "Softly and Tenderly" alongside both Reba and Trisha.

Jewel ”Stay Here Forever“ 'Cause if you wanna go Baby, let's go If you wanna rock, I'm ready to roll And if you wanna slow down, we can slow down together If you wanna walk, Baby, let's walk Have a little kiss, have a little talk We don't gotta leave at all, we can lay here forever
Kelly Clarkson ”Don’t Rush“ Throw the map out of the window Taking the long way around To a secret place where no one could find us A little place we can call our own Come over here and take a picture Something we can hang on to We can look back and try to remember All the crazy things we gonna do
Sheryl Crow ”Easy“ We’ll put on bug spray and lose our clothes Put out the lawn chair and turn on the hose We’ll play jack Johnson he’s the new don ho And we’ll go surfin’ surfin’ surf the radio
Dream margaritas and take in the sunset Later on slip into our king size bed And make love, love sweet love
Gwyneth Paltrow ”Country Strong“ I know you see me like some wide eyed dreamer That just rolled in off up a dusty Midwest bus Yeah, on the outside I look fragile But on the inside is something you can't crush
I have weathered colder winters Longer summers without a drop of rain Push me in a corner and I'll come out fighting I may lose but I'll always keep my faith
The Music of Nashville ”This Is Real Life“ (Written by Maren Morris, Trey Bruce and Derek Cannavo) No spotlight, no reherasal for the crowd All the moments, happening in the here and now This is where the heartbeat hits the road This is where your dream becomes your soul This is real life, don't let it pass you by, laugh and cry This is real life, sometimes we love, sometimes we fight Sarah Buxton Songwriting Credits for Nashville: "It's My Life”, "Yellin' from the Rooftop”, "Loving You Is the Only Way to Fly”, "Stronger Than Me”, "Nothing in This World Will Ever Break My Heart Again”, "Every Time I Fall In Love”, "Can't Say No to You”, "Come Find Me”, "Heart on Fire”, "Can't Help My Heart”, "Anywhere From Here”, "Sweet Revenge”, "Little Fire”

When I read three people would be losing their number ones, I was already nervous thinking I would be one of them... so glad it wasn't the case and I'm aldready happy with my number one making it to the top15! (won't tell y'all what it is...).
Tbh that was another great cut for me, my highest position was Reba's #14 and I still have 7 songs higher than that...

I loved Sheryl Crow's Easy and it would've honestly been in contention for my #1 on this. Also, the Nashville soundtracks had soooo many great songs!

I loved Sheryl Crow's Easy and it would've honestly been in contention for my #1 on this. It was on my short list I promise! As with each series, the goal was always to try and capture the essence of each decade without overwhelming everyone with a 100 song rankdown (which easily could've been done!). I know there was probably one song or artist that someone wanted included that wasn't, so I hope I was able to highlight most of those with the honorable mentions (which I still have one more to do before we finish up). Speaking of finishing up, I know last night I mentioned that I'd reveal the next five songs tonight but I'm going to hold off until tomorrow. I might just get all of this wrapped up by late tomorrow evening, but either way we'll be crowning the Country Queen of the 2010s before the weekend ends!

I'm going to jump into the next set of reveals a bit early today so that I can finally unveil the top ten songs! Here's a few items that might pique your interest for the five songs that miss the top 10: - The third and 11th most polarizing songs exit along with our 9th least polarizing
- Only eight points separate #11 from #15 making this a competitive and close set
- Both #13 and #14 are tied in points making this our sixth and final tie with the tiebreaker going to the third most polarizing song of the rankdown
- Four participants will lose their top ranking song along with three others losing their second top ranked song
- Thirteen additional top 5s and eleven top 10s will exit
- Of the three last place songs still remaining, one will finally lose theirs while seven others shed off a bottom 5

Stats for #15:
The first song to exit remained a consistent top 15 contender once it was able to work its way in there and comes in as our 9th least polarizing song. While this briefly flirted with the top ten, our second to last participant threw it a bottom 10 (and its only one at that) allowing a few of the other songs to move ahead of it. Five participants will lose a top 5 ranking.
Best rankdown position: 10 Worst rankdown position: 28 Average position: 22.76 SD Rank: 9th Lowest Ranking distribution: Top 10s: 3 11 to 20: 5 21 to 30: 9 31 to 40: 1 41 to 50: 3 Bottom 5s: 0

9. Between Maren's "A Song for Everything" and Carrie's "Ghosts on the Stereo", which of the two will do better and when might each one exit? "A Song for Everything" will do better. I think they'll both make the top 30, but I'll say Maren's lasts a tad longer and might make the top 20. A Song for Everything: Top 25. Ghosts on the Stereo: Top 15. "Ghosts" will come out ahead Only two participants thought that "A Song for Everything" would outlast "Ghosts on the Stereo" so it looks like the majority of you got this right! Again, I didn't have any ulterior motive for asking this question other than for my own curiosity lol. These were two of the more recent album tracks selected that many have looked back on as missed single opportunities (although I suppose Maren could still release ASFE), so I was intrigued what y'alls thoughts were about which song would place higher.

Stats for #14:
Our next song is tied in points with #13 and since this comes in as the third most polarizing song it lost the tiebreaker. Once it jumped into the top 20 it remained steady and even had enough support to put this into the top ten and as high as #7 at one point. This ended up getting derailed towards the end, however, as it picked up its second bottom 5 ranking. Four top 10s will exit along with four top 5 rankings...of which includes two participants top ranked song along with two others who put this as their second favorite.
Best rankdown position: 7 Worst rankdown position: 54 Average position: 22.52 SD Rank: 3rd Highest! Ranking distribution: Top 10s: 8 11 to 20: 4 21 to 30: 0 31 to 40: 2 41 to 50: 4 Bottom 5s: 2

You spoke too soon... I'm walking fast through the traffic lights, busy streets and busy lives And all we know, is touch and go We are alone with our changing minds We fall in love 'til it hurts or bleeds, or fades in time
So you were never a saint and I loved in shades of wrong We learn to live with the pain, mosaic broken hearts But this love is brave and wild 14. “State of Grace” - Taylor Swift Total: 473 Average: 22.52 Std Dev: 18.59 (3RD HIGHEST!) {Songs Remaining}Diane Dime Store Cowgirl Fly Ghosts on the Stereo Girl Goin’ Nowhere Girl Next Door homecoming queen? Unfortunately recordyear and samo🦕 become our fifth and sixth participants to lose their top ranking song, while myself and mamooshka lose their #2. I dang near put this at the top of my list as well and in fact amongst the many revisions and edits I did it held that spot a few times. This song is such a jam and I was really disappointed to see it get sent out of the top 10 after being such a strong contender.

Taylor's "State Of Grace" is good. I do prefer the version of "State Of Grace" where she worked at Walmart.
