"Just Drive" was actually a discovery for me back when the Jo Dee Messina album rankdown series was ongoing and it instantly became one of my favorite songs of hers. It actually went on to win the Unmistakable album series rankdown and also was a top five finisher in her album tracks rankdown hosted by castleoblivion26. While this wasn't released as a single, I thought it would make for a good selection here and I think that instinct was right.

Kellie Pickler ”If It Wasn’t for a Woman“ I close my eyes and she's right there Barbie dolls and teddy bears Picking buttercups from the yard Putting them in mason jars Tea parties and pecan pie Make me think of her every time Yes sir, yes maam It wouldn't be who I am
Lindsay Ell ”Champagne“ I can open my own door But I like that you don't let me Can't help but smile When I catch you catch me Crushin' on you 'cross the party Gettin' lost in your "I-don't-want-to-be-here" eyes Everybody wants your attention But tonight, it's mine
Carly Pearce ”If My Name Was Whiskey“ Maybe if I was a neon light I'd lead your car right back to my door Oh, maybe if I was a jukebox needle dropping on a drinking song You'd want one more If my name was Whiskey Maybe right now you'd miss me
Jo Dee Messina ”Unmistakable“ The touch of your breath on the back of my neck Is like nothing I've ever known The way you look at me, I swear your eyes can see To the deepest depths of my soul Every kiss that you give shakes me right to the bone Don't wanna ever get off of this ride that I'm on

WTH with both "It Won't Always Be Like This" and "Criminal" missing the Top 20. Both of those are great songs. Same with "Just Drive".
I do feel as though some songs are in the top 20 because of who sings them and not because of the songs themselves. Carly should have ABSOLUTELY been in the top 20. Wow to the haters, I'm disappointed

"Tough" is amazing and I thought it would be a couple spots higher.
I also thought Carly Pearce would be a couple spots higher but I'm glad I was wrong about that one.
Love that "Keeper of the Flame" was Miranda's top song on the rankdown!
Overall that was a good cut for my rankings, Tough was the only one on my top30!!

Wow the last set was absolute trash. I can't believe Carly Pearce wasn't even top 20 in this when she should've been a top 5 lock. Kellie Pickler also deserved way better and "Tough" probably would've been up a few more spots at least if LBTrocks had gotten around to submitting because he gushes over that song. The one that really irks me though is "Getaway Driver" finishing lower than "Keeper of the Flame." I always hate when a song does vastly superior that another in one rankdown and then the opposite happens in another rankdown. It's nonsensical for "Flame" to be higher here imo when "Driver" was a landslide favorite album cut from its parent album and "Flame" was received far less favorably. It's a fine song but it is not among Miranda's best; it'd probably be in my bottom 5 of her singles.

Almost a year had passed before that album rankdown was launched so that was more than enough time for all of the album tracks to sink in for everyone, but I wonder if after time has passed "Keeper of the Flame" has aged better for listeners. If so, it'd be interesting if that album rankdown was done today where either one of these would place.

I do feel as though some songs are in the top 20 because of who sings them and not because of the songs themselves. Yeah why are Dolly and Reba songs still here? They are not even their best '10s output...

It would have been interesting to see how "Think About Us" did in this rankdown for Jo Dee. I know that one wasn't the one you listed as a possible alternative, but still Since her album series, that one has gone on to easily be one of my favorite vocals of her entire career

Let's dig in those heels shall we and reveal the next set of five songs! Here's a few stats to reflect on before I begin: - As mentioned in the last set, both song #20 and #21 were tied in points with the tiebreaker going to the one with the 12th lowest standard deviation
- There will be THREE participants losing their top ranked song in this set
- Two others will see their second top ranked song depart
- Eleven top 5 rankings will be eliminated along with thirteen top 10 rankings
- The last song to exit was a top 15 contender until the final list bumped it back

Stats for #20:
The first song to exit the top 20 was tied in points with song #21, but this one turned out to be the 12th least polarizing song compared to the other which was the 20th highest. After the dust settled in the middle of its run, this remained a consistent top 25 contender picking up plenty of support amongst those placing this in their top 30. Two participants lose a top 10 while two others lose a top 5 including someone's second top ranking song.

I absolutely adore this song and initially had it ranked much higher on my list. Dolly is an artist that I've showcased in each of these series going back to the '80s Ladies rankdown and I just couldn't exclude her from this decade as she continued to be an influential presence in country music.

Stats for #19:
Thanks to an early and lone bottom 5 ranking, our next slid all the way back outside of the top 40 only to muscle its way back. This managed to slide into the top 20 at the last moment thanks to a second top 15 ranking. Two more lose a top 10 while only one participant departs with a top 5. All but one ended up putting this inside their top 40 making this the 7th least polarizing song.

Honestly though, my abysmal low ranking for "Nice Things" is only reflective of this being one of the songs that I just don't revisit at all. I had made several edits to my list and with each one this song never seemed to escape my bottom five. I can see why this has such immense passion amongst those here on Pulse and it's disappointing that radio paid dust to this.

Stats for #18:
Our next song had a really rough start out of the gate as it picked up not just its only bottom 5 right out of the gate...but a dead last ranking at that! It didn't take very long, though, for it to find its way into the top 20 where it mostly remained until it landed just one away from its highest ranking position. Three lose a top 15 while two others lose a top ten. This also picked up two top 5s with one of them belonging to our next participant who joins the ranks of those who have lost their top ranked song.
Best rankdown position: 17 Worst rankdown position: 55 Average position: 24.67 SD Rank: 22nd Highest Ranking distribution: Top 10s: 4 11 to 20: 6 21 to 30: 3 31 to 40: 3 41 to 50: 4 Bottom 5s: 1

Most of you predicted that "Going Out Like That" would likely only make it into the top 20, and for those that did you were correct. As bboat11 mentioned this has never been a Pulse favorite and has always been a tad bit polarizing. My condolences to someguy who becomes our fourth participant to lose their top ranking song.

Stats for #17:
While the next song comes in as the 12th most polarizing, it managed to settle itself into a solid top 20 contender in the middle of its run where it remained for the duration of the time. Two top 10s depart along with two bottom 10 rankings and one lone bottom 5. Four participants bid adieu to a top 5 with one of them being someones second top ranking song.

One of the main reasons for including "Soon You'll Get Better" is that it featured The Chicks. While they may not have had released any music during the 2010s, they headlined the Canadian/European Long Time Gone Tour which kicked off in 2013 as well as the DCX MMXVI World Tour that took them all across North America and Europe from 2016-2017. This is such an emotional song to listen to and I must say it far exceeded my expecations.

I lost an aunt to cancer as y'all probably know and when this song came out as part of Lover, I had to pause listening for a few minutes to compose myself. It struck every chord like lightning. I'm very pleased to see this finish in the Top 20 as I must say I thought this didn't stand too much of a chance when I first saw the song pop up in the list.
