Carrie Underwood ”Smoke Break“ She said, I don't drink But sometimes I need a stiff drink Sipping from a high, full glass Let the world fade away She said, I don't smoke But sometimes I need a long drag Yeah, I know it might sound bad But sometimes I need a smoke break
Miranda Lambert ”Automatic“ Hey whatever happened to, Waitin' your turn Doing it all by hand, 'Cause when everything is handed to you It's all only worth as much as the time you put in In all just seems so good the way we had it Back before everything became, automatic
Maddie & Tae ”Die From A Broken Heart“ How does he sleep at night? Mama, the nerve of this guy To leave me so easy Am I gonna be alright? I wanna kick myself for fallin' so hard Mama, can you die from a broken heart?
Sara Evans ”A Little Bit Stronger“ And I'm done hoping that we can work it out I'm done with how it feels, spinning my wheels Letting you drag my heart around And oh I'm done thinking, that you could ever change I know my heart will never be the same But I'm telling myself I'll be okay Even on my weakest days, I get a little bit stronger
Lauren Alaina ”Doin’ Fine“ I'm doing fine enough to know that everyone's a little broken Fine enough to learn that hearts are best when they're wide open I still got fear inside of me I'm not okay but I'm gonna be alright For the first time in a long, long time I'm doing fine I'm doing fine

#sorrynotsorry to the haters, but I had to highlight Carrie's "Smoke Break" because it's my jam!

I love all 5 of these but just shows how strong this list was because my ranks for them are:
8 20 23 25 37
So, I ain't doin' so hot. But I also wouldn't be upset with any of these as winners really, though I am rooting against my #37. The other 4 though can get it.

I'm going to forgo positing any stats as we move into the top 5 so as not to give away too much, so without further ado I'm going to jump right in and reveal the first two songs!

But when the lights come up And I hear the band And where they said I'd never be is exactly where I am I hear the crowd, I look around And I can't find an empty chair Not bad for a girl goin' nowhere 5. “Girl Goin’ Nowhere” - Ashley McBryde Total: 393 Average: 18.71 Std Dev: 16.03 (18th Highest) {Songs Remaining}Diane Dime Store Cowgirl The Blade Wasting All These Tears

The power of ClevelandRox strikes yet again as he bumped "Girl Goin' Nowhere" down from a top 3 contender to it being the first song that exits in the top five. I was quite impressed with how well this performed as I was not expecting it to be such a strong top ten competitor at all...if I'm being honest I thought this might land somewhere in the top 15. This was front-loaded with a ton of support, though, including austin who put this as his top song. Not sure how this landed in someone's bottom ten, but there were two of those as well. It's a shame radio ignored this because it should've been a hit.

I tried to find you at the bottom of a bottle Laying down on the bathroom floor My loneliness was a rattle in the windows You said you don't want me anymore
You ain't worth another sleepless night And I'll do everything I gotta do to get you off my mind Cause what you wanted I couldn't get What you did, boy I'll never forget 4. “Wasting All These Tears” - Cassadee Pope Total: 375 Average: 17.86 Std Dev: 14.55 (25th Lowest) {Songs Remaining}Diane Dime Store Cowgirl The Blade

Once "Wasting All These Tears" found its way into the top five it remained a fierce competitor where it briefly flirted as the top ranked song in the middle of its run. It really helped that the majority ended up placing this somewhere within the top 30, with it picking up five top 15s, four top 10s, and four top 5s including someone's second favorite. Kanenrá:ke continues his floppy trend in the country rankdowns as he finds himself along down in the bottom 5.

Those encores...I can't say Carrie would've been too much higher, but perhaps not much lower either with that song (I like it well enough but you saw my ranking of it in the 2.0). As for the others...nearly all of those other choices would've been in my Top 10 most likely. I understand not wanting to place ALBS in here though, as it's been in quite a lot of rankdowns already. And would've won here too
As for this Top 5, wow! Wasn't expecting Kacey to do all that well here. Gonna take a stab at this and say:
1. Diane 2. The Blade 3. Dime Store Cowgirl

I never would've pegged Cassadee for a top 5 contender here at all, tbh.

I can't complain about the Ladies in the '90s exit, as I was afraid it was going to be out ever since we entered the top15.
But I'm so glad it made it this far. It's an amazing song, so much fun, and country radio did it so dirty. Lauren is so underrated and one of the most talented country artists. Her voice is so powerful and we all know that, but she has great songwriting skills as well!

I thought Girl Goin' Nowhere would be on the top3 despite my low ranking.
Love that "Wasting All These Tears" is number 4, that was another pleasant surprise.
Now I'm rooting for my #3 to win.

Also, if THAT was in here...it'd have fought for a spot in my Top 3. I ADORE that song and really that entire record.

Sorry for overposting, but now that the honorable mentions are over, I'm gonna go ahead and make my own...
Jessie James Decker!
While she only has 2 entries on the Billboard Country Airplay chart ("Boys in the Summer" was #58 in 2010 and "Military Man" was #49 in 2012), she has a number one on Billboard Country Albums with her 2017 album "Southern Girl City Lights", which was facing competition of acts that had the radio support that she never had.
Also, two of her EPs debuted on the top5 of Billboard Country Albums.
I know she isn't for everyone but her last album has some great songs on it, especially "Almost Over You", a duet with Randy Houser.

Maybe, maybe not ... actually I'm not very good at posting little hints like that as I just can't compete with you, bboat11, and .indulgecountry ! I have to be honest here for a moment and admit that I am feeling a tad bit...let's say melancholy that this series is coming to an end! I was running on the treadmill at the gym earlier this afternoon and as I was revisiting some of the songs for this rankdown something just kind of came over me. What started as a bottle of wine kind of night with K.T. Oslin turned into the 80's Ladies of Country and here we are almost two years later coming to the end of the fourth and final series! Before I reveal the final three songs, I'd like to take this moment to thank each and everyone who has participated in and followed along with this series as it really has been a labor of love for me. So without further ado, let's crown the next Queen of Country!

"The Blade" has the distinction of being the only song in the rankdown that remained in the top 5 for its entire run! And look who altered the outcome of the rankdown but none other than ClevelandRox himself as I thought for sure this was on track to win...until he came along with a near bottom 10 ranking. Nonetheless, this was a strong perform through and through and remains one of my all-time favorites from the last decade.
