I don’t need them staying with SD for four more months just for it to peak at 7 when Tequila Does is there for the taking waiting to smash. That would be miserable to watch. Even if this did peak just inside the top 10, that would still be something to be celebrated, considering prior to Bluebird she hadn't been in the top 10 since 2014. Besides, I feel like this will most likely go all the way. No point in pulling a song that is doing well; especially considering Sony pushed To Hell & Back for 8 months when the writing had been on the wall pretty much since it was released that radio didn't want it.

#181 on iTunes currently, I'm hoping this picks up some steam in the coming weeks

I've been really, really indifferent when it comes to Miranda the past few years, but I quite enjoy this song!

"Settling Down" really found it's stride this week in the Top 30 gaining 352 spins and has the second highest bullet of songs in the 21-30 range setting a new peak of #27. Sales and streaming remain very solid (music video is just under 4 million views on YouTube, on iTunes this song is at #132 all genre, and on Spotify this has over 9 million plays) and as long as callout is solid enough this should hopefully cruise to a #1 peak, I am hopeful what Monday Morning Intel is saying about this song in terms of callout is false (out of 50 songs this is ranked #45 only doing better than singles by Chris Janson, Brothers Osborne, Old Dominion, Runaway June and Little Big Town none of whom are doing great on the chart right now) and that callout is good enough because I do enjoy this song a fair amount.

Not to sound like a dramatic fan, but I had felt like this one was stagnant on the chart for a while. I checked the update and saw that it has been in the 25-30 range since the new year; being #25 the past three weeks in a row. Kind of confusing because this one is selling pretty decently, especially for where it is on the chart. Hope it picks up the pace soon.

I mean I am not too worried about it as it entered the Top 30 in early January and chart runs are bound to get longer, also it is worth noting that the only singles that have dropped promo that didn't make the Top 5 so far this year are "7 Summers" by Morgan Wallen which would not have been dropped if Morgan Wallen didn't say the n word, and "Never Be Sorry" by Old Dominion which I suspect was dropped for the new Caitlyn Smith single that featurs Old Dominion

Meanwhile, this one is flying up the chart in Canada! It's #11 there as of this most recent week and it's also made it to #74 on their Hot 100 chart so far.

Debuts on the callout chart this week with very solid scores! Its negative and heavy burn scores are the lowest on the chart, with other scores showing great signs. Potential score is very high as well.

Love this song even more with every listen. Might even like it more than Bluebird, and I loved Bluebird.

Potential score is very high as well. This is fantastic news!!! Considering how much Country radio depends on callout scores, this bodes very well. I expect this to start moving up at a faster pace just like Sam Hunt did when he debuted a few weeks ago.

7th highest net positive on callout. Likely to be a future #1. Pretty cool comeback there.

This has been played on my station literally five times a day sometimes. Not complaining at all, I'm really happy to see this radio comeback from her! Hoping this one can continue to chug along and manage to be another #1 hit for her.

I doubt it will happen but I would love for "Drunk (And I Don't Want To Go Home)" to be released after this peaks. I still do kind of like this song even if Miranda sounds vocally a bit checked out during this song. But "Drunk" is a jam and a half, holy fuck it is so catchy and that hook is money. Probably my favorite thing from Miranda since "All Kinds Of Kinds"

I truly think “Tequila Does” is next after this one. She loves the song and has been a fan favorite. On top of this a new version is featured on her upcoming The Marfa Tapes, which further leads me to believe its next.

I still do kind of like this song even if Miranda sounds vocally a bit checked out during this song. But "Drunk" is a jam and a half, holy f**k it is so catchy and that hook is money. Probably my favorite thing from Miranda since "All Kinds Of Kinds" I'd love that, but I'm sure they'd rather release another single from Wildcard since "Drunk" is Elle King's song. It got a pretty nice debut upon release (her first song to make the Hot 100 since "Ex's and Oh's" in 2014) and I think it would be a sizable country radio hit if it were given a proper push. It's charted at #37 on Adult Pop so far. I truly think “Tequila Does” is next after this one. She loves the song and has been a fan favorite. On top of this a new version is featured on her upcoming The Marfa Tapes, which further leads me to believe its next. I think "Tequila Does" is likely next as well, but the main reason it's featured on The Marfa Tapes is because it + "Tin Man" were written by the same trio who wrote all the songs for that record, they were just released before they decided to turn their sessions into a full project. Signs seem to be pointing towards it being the 4th single from the album though and Miranda's raved about it as one of her favorite songs she's done for quite awhile now and it's gotten more traction than any of the other album cuts at this point.

Tequila might conveniently coincide with her bar opening this summer too

This one's callouts have gotten even better than they started out. Very high favorite rating followed by a low negative rating as well as a low burn rate. I think this one has better callouts than "Bluebird" did. It has all the right signs of a future #1 hit. Just kind of hope Comb's song will hurry up and pass it in the next couple of weeks, so it can be on it's decent by the time this is looking to peak, because I'm sure his will clog #1 for a good few weeks, much like "Better Together" did and I don't want any of those shenanigans to cause "Settling Down" to miss #1 on either chart.

This screams "To Hell & Back" to me... Same tempo as the previous single and has fairly similar sounds/content that I worry might flop. That being said, I LOVE this song and will be streaming the heck out of it. It's an okay single choice... as long as "Tequila Does" comes next. Could not agree more. I can't help but seeing this struggling big time and killing her momentum once again. What a shame (I hope I am wrong). So happy to be wrong about this. While this still isn't one of my favorites from her stellar album, it has grown on me and I am so glad to see it doing so well.

Agreed, seeing my previous comment was definitely me speaking out of fear. I have grown to like hearing this more than any recent Miranda single I can think of, maybe since "Over You". It just doesn't get old, it feels like it has no burn. Another #1 coming!

Acoustic Version is out now! Her voice sounds absolutely beautiful here. It does on the recorded version, too. I think songs like this and "Bluebird" really play to her strengths vocally.

Featured on Elle King's new single and it's a banger! This has already been playing like 56748 times a day on my local pop station...Miranda's getting her crossover smash!!! I have REALLY grown to love "Drunk" so I'm glad that's doing well (at least, it seems) with pop radio and I'm ECSTATIC that she's looking poised to get another #1 with "Settling Down"! This song just goes so well wit the spring/summer so I feel like it's perfect timing! (Does anyone know if she's ever even HAD two #1s back-to-back? If so, it has to have been a very long time ago.)

She has with Mediabase (“White Liar” and “The House That Built Me”). WL stalled at #2 on Billboard though, so it would be nice to see her achieve this feat there as well.
