SHOCKED that When Doves Cry didn't win, as it is one of the best songs ever made from the best album ever made from the best artist to exist. That said, since I Feel For You was his song to begin with, he still wins. Thanks for another fantastic rankdown!! LMAO I did the same thing. He wins because it's his song anyway. But in glad Chaka won

I almost swapped my top-2 to give Chaka an underdog vote but dammit Prince wins anyway! Keep it coming! Soulsista

5. Operator (10): This was a nice discovery in the Lost 80s RD, where I ranked it in my 60s. Sounds good and all, but not top 5 material in such a strong list. 4. Let's Hear It For The Boy (8): A hit back home with good recurrent airplay, a song that reached the top of my personal chart and that I still hear once in a while. Fun, catchy, well produced, and with pretty good vocals. I gave some extra points to songs I felt fit the chart a bit more, but I'm glad to see it this high. By the way, I only discovered that video a few years ago. Back in the 80s and 90s, the only video that was played back home was this one with the images of the movie: 3. Let's Go Crazy (5): Another hit back home and in my personal chart. The melody is okay, but the instrumental is superb. I didn't rank it at #3 just because a couple other strong songs had much more of a soul vibe --this had much more of rock vibe instead 2. When Doves Cry (1): Huh??!!!! I'm surprised this didn't win. A big hit back home and in my personal chart --one of my favorite songs of the 80s, with great melody, instrumental, vocals, production, and with Soul elements. 1. I Feel For You (2): Oh well, I won't complain because this was more of an underdog, this is her first 80s win, and this is a legit BOP. My brother and I LOVED this song from first listen. Back home we called this type of freestyle vibe "breakdance", and both of us were a lot into this groove (yeah, we loved Shannon's hits, too!) This was a hit back home, but not as big as LHIFTB. However, this was a big hit in my personal chart, reaching the top in my weekly chart and the top 20 in my yearend chart. I still listen to it once in a while. The extended version is a jam, too! Thanks, Soulsista for another great Rankdown!
