Isn't 39 cents the minimum in a single's first four weeks of release? first three months.

Ohhh, I thought the time frame for singles was the same as albums, the latter which is $3.49 for the first four weeks- at least I think that's what it is. :)

No way in hell Luke Combs in #1 after 12 hours on Apple Music where RAP MUSIC is usually the dominant genre by far. AM loves country, second to hip-hop I'd say (or at least neck and neck with pop). Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen in particular do extremely well there. What if lil nas x actually caused this..

f**k it, even though it's not gonna happen, at least not this week., I'd much rather see Luke Combs or Jack Harlow get the top spot than Ariana being gift wrapped yet another undeserved number one. ?? what? her first two #1s spent 7 and 8 weeks, respectfully at number one so I find a hard time finding the argument that these were not deserved. I will agree with Stuck With U although I personally believe that song was made to do more work for Justin than Ariana, and Rain on Me, while not sticking around forever, was not a complete cheap grab at a number one at all (it got up to #2 on AM for gods sake, not an easy feat for a dance-pop female collab). You don't have to like her, but you can't argue that the majority of her success is extremely deserved. Okay when I said "undeserved" I meant in terms of number ones. Obviously her success is well deserved and thank u next and 7 rings I think were worthy songs of being number one but stuck with u, Rain on Me, and soon Positions, I think they went to number one on name recognition and sales alone, and just so her label can package her albums with the fact that it has a "number-one single". Her label wants the stats more than anything and that's why I thought it was undeserving

Luke Combs has 17 songs from the deluxe version. Also a bit disappointed nothing from Song Machine Season 1 charted but I guess it makes sense since none of the singles gained much traction in the US

'positions' is 6th highest peaking Ariana Grande song on Spotify US. The song will re-peak album week 100%.
Overall not bad, considering the song reception wasn't perfect.

The streaming era giving Holiday and Country songs #1s on the Hot 100 would be icing! I love it.

Right. Scooter seems to have a formula with Bieber and Ariana and it worked. I think Demi is under his wing too, but idk the direction they are going with her, but those two's formula won't work for her.

fridayteen- I don't believe website sales for physical singles count toward the Digital Songs chart- just the digital singles available there (unless Billboard's decided to add physical-single sales to the digital chart). Prior, the download that came with the physical-sale purchase counted for the digital chart, though that's not longer happening.
Thanks, Baby Yoda and kim chart for the clarifications.

^You're welcome. Here's another one from when they announced the latest bundling rules: "In addition, Billboard will no longer allow sales of physical albums or singles that are bundled with digital downloads to be reported as digital sales, thereby eliminating the practice of βspontaneousβ non-manufactured items being used to influence first-week chart rankings. Only when the physical item -- ostensibly what the consumer is buying -- is shipped, will it be counted in Billboardβs official tallies."

^Yes- the singles bundling may have been the most sketchy among all bundling, particularly as the main items consumers were purchasing would not be shipped out for weeks or months- glad it didn't last too long.
