Another fan shared these Spotify stats
41 days after release (WW) #28 ME! - 1,574,785 #29 YNTCD - 1,936,193 #33 willow - 1,718,371 #49 lover - 1,366,693 #70 cardigan - 1,170,511
41 days after release (US) #25 YNTCD #28 willow #41 ME! #48 lover #53 cardigan
edit: these stats are even better when you consider that YNTCD's 41st day was the day it got boosted by The Archer's release.

This is her best performing single on Spotify ever since "Delicate". Which is odd because it's just a tad bit more commercial than "cardigan"! On a side note, that's a massive gain on AC!

Is it too late for "Cruel Summer"? I know y'all are gonna die on the "exile" hill but CS really was the single that we deserved over "The Man".

I know this is a joke but has releasing a single from the not latest album ever been done? Not that she would ever do it but it seems interesting I also wonder if she’ll release “new” singles from her re-recorded albums

I know this is a joke but has releasing a single from the not latest album ever been done? Not that she would ever do it but it seems interesting I also wonder if she’ll release “new” singles from her re-recorded albums Songs have taken off from previous albums (Lizzo, for example) and I’m sure there’s other examples that might be more obscure. (I forget whether 90s situations like Closer To Free by the Bodeans being a hit four or five years after its parent album release fall under this). It normally doesn’t make sense because presumably the artist has a new album to promote. The only way it would really make sense is if the artist isn’t actively within a current album cycle and an old song happens to take off somehow, or there’s a live/acoustic/new mix of an old song from a collection, or a soundtrack situation. It’s not impossible but it’s unlikely to be artist driven. In Taylor’s case, it wouldn’t not make sense if they went back to folklore for something as a single since that and evermore can kind of co-exist/be treated as a single era. But it might make more sense to do that and repackage both albums as a single unit.

Save Your Tears and What You Know Bout Love are coming for Willow, so this might get pushed out of the top 20 by this sunday.

(It was originally on Blackout.)

Rihanna also technically went back to the original Good Girl Gone Bad after she ran out of Reloaded songs to send to #1. (Dua Lipa intends to do this later this year with her current album as well).

Couldn't she send out something to radio programmers again? Like..., I don't know, willow tree seeds?

Lbr Taylor could release a double album of songs that should've been singles.

I think it was probably just that she gave notice to the label that folklore was going to happen so they decided to stop any Lover promo.

US Spotify – Day 47 #27. Look What You Made Me Do (-2) #30. willow (+10) #35. You Need To Calm Down (+1) #52. ME! (+3) Why did I read this thinking Look What You Made Me Do had some weird revival that put it at #27 Anyway, shame this isn't steaming upwards but I'm content enough that Taylor got critical/commercial success with the albums themselves. Hoping for No Body, No Crime to do something too but it is country radio so not holding my breath haha

"coney island" is off to a good start on AAA radio, maybe that one can do somewhere close to exile (#9 on Billboard, #12 on Mediabase AAA)?

Top 10 on Hot AC, AC, and top 20 on Pop wouldn't be a horrible result all things considered. lol
On a side note "You Need To Calm Down" had pretty solid streaming longevity. I remember it still being inside the top 200 of Spotify like 8 months after release.

"You Need To Calm Down" is lowkey her biggest hit post-reputation.
"ME!" had the bigger peak (and of course the two #1s she's had since), "Lover" had more critical acclaim, but YNTCD had the best legs, especially once Hot AC fell in love with it.
