1. What song will be the winner? Probably "80s Ladies".
2. Which songs will make up the top 5? "80s Ladies", "Live Close By, Visit Often", "Come Next Monday", "New Way Home", "Hold Me".
3. What song will be in last place? SHOULD be "Hey Bobby"...
4. Which songs will be in the bottom 5? "Hey Bobby", "Do Ya"... I'm honestly not sure what else! Everything here is so consistent in sound that I can't pick out very many obvious outliers, either up high or down low... I picture our lists to all be quite different, with everything just landing randomly wherever the math happens to put it, lol.
5. Which songs are likely to be most polarizing? "Hey Bobby"
6. Which songs are likely to be least polarizing? "80s Ladies", "Live Close By, Visit Often".
7. Any other thoughts or comments? I am eager to see how this goes! I hope my faves do well, but I honestly have no idea how things will turn out. I was not familiar with her at all, and after diving in a lot of her stuff just sounds kinda the same. I am sure I may be off on a couple songs.

I’ll be kicking off the reveals sometime tomorrow, but it’d be great to get at least one (or two) more predictions for this before I jump into it!

1. What song will be the winner? I actually think "Live Close By, Visit Often" just because of it's more modern sound.
2. Which songs will make up the top 5? LCBVO, "80's Ladies", "Come Next Monday", "Hold Me", "This Woman"
3. What song will be in last place? "I'll Always Come Back"
4. Which songs will be in the bottom 5? No idea, very hard to predict because I know some fan favorites are not resonating with some participants lol
5. Which songs are likely to be most polarizing? "Hey Bobby"
6. Which songs are likely to be least polarizing? LCBVO & "80's Ladies"
7. Any other thoughts or comments? I adore K.T., I think she's got such a unique personality for the genre and I love that her work was so forward thinking for her time. Plus her career story is still one of a kind, never has a woman found a career at such an "old" age.

3. What song will be in last place? "I'll Always Come Back" If that had actually proven correct I likely would've just cancelled my own rankdown With that said, let's go ahead and kick things off shall we! Coming right up is our first song to exit.

"Didn't Expect It to Go Down This Way" is the first song to exit where it remained the frontrunner to leave first for much of the rankdown. This accumulated nine bottom 5 rankings including a last place from yours truly. Unfortunately Troublemaker and d3vin44 become the first two participants to lose a top 10. I think this particular song is a grower as I admit that I've had it stuck in my head these last few days. In hindsight, I think I'd bump this one up a couple of spots and maybe even outside of my bottom 3.

I'm having trouble remembering things If I don't make a list it'll all get lost
Sometimes I find myself in the middle of the room Wonderin' what it is I'm lookin' for
And ooooh if I need a little help to remember I just tie a string around my finger 19. “I Can’t Remember Not Loving You”Released: 2001 (Album Track Only) Album: Live Close By, Visit Often Total: 211 Average: 14.07 Std Dev: 4.40 (6th Lowest) {Songs Remaining}80’s Ladies A Moment of Forever Come Next Monday Do Ya’ Do You Think About Me Get Back In the Saddle Hey Bobby Hold Me I’ll Always Come Back Live Close By, Visit Often Lonely But Only for You Money New Way Home Silver Tongue and Goldplated Lies This Woman Two Hearts Wall of Tears Younger Men

"I Can't Remember Not Loving You" leaves us next and it only dipped back into the bottom 2 towards the end. This remained a steady top 15 contender thanks mostly to the support of austin, Kanenrá:ke, and Kris Kringle whom all placed this inside their top 10. Unfortunately it just wasn't able to overcome the six bottom 5 rankings including two bottom 2's from taylor and d3vin44.

Coming up next is our first of three ties with both coming in as having the 5th lowest and 5th highest standard deviation. The tie-breaker really could've gone either way, however, I gave the edge to what will be our first #1 loss of the rankdown.

You're the picture of lonely if I ever saw one Sitting at that table so all alone Don't know what happened, I don't know your story But if you had somebody, I think you'd probably be home
We can hold on as the night swirls around us Sheltered in each other's arms Oh and it could be better if we were together 'Cause hurting together beats hurting alone 18. “Two Hearts”Released: 1990 Album: Love in a Small Town Peak Chart Position: #73 Total: 205 Average: 13.67 Std Dev: 4.39 (5th Lowest) {Songs Remaining}80’s Ladies A Moment of Forever Come Next Monday Do Ya’ Do You Think About Me Get Back In the Saddle Hey Bobby Hold Me I’ll Always Come Back Live Close By, Visit Often Lonely But Only for You Money New Way Home Silver Tongue and Goldplated Lies This Woman Wall of Tears Younger Men

Let's go ahead and rip the band-aid off of our first #1 loss of the rankdown (and still within the bottom 5 at that!).

This started off great for me and then quickly derailed with this loss of my #6. </3 Yea, about that You were young enough to dream I was old enough to learn something new I'm so glad I got to dance with you
Come whatever happens now Ain't it nice to know that dreams still come true I'm so glad that I was close to you 17. “A Moment of Forever”Released: 2001 (Album Track Only) Album: Live Close By, Visit Often Total: 205 Average: 13.67 Std Dev: 6.32 (5th Highest) {Songs Remaining}80’s Ladies Come Next Monday Do Ya’ Do You Think About Me Get Back In the Saddle Hey Bobby Hold Me I’ll Always Come Back Live Close By, Visit Often Lonely But Only for You Money New Way Home Silver Tongue and Goldplated Lies This Woman Wall of Tears Younger Men

So, as I mentioned above the tie-breaker really could've gone either way because while "A Moment of Forever" did garner a top rank from taylor it accumulated seven bottom 5 rankings (including five for last place!). "Two Hearts" also accumulated its share of bottom 5 rankings with six participants putting it there. Even so, just looking at the trajectory it's clear that "A Moment of Forever" had much more passion considering that "Two Hearts" was never even able to escape the bottom 4.

You know, money ain't what I need A dollar bill can't give me kiss, when a little kiss is all I need It can't take me for a ride in the country or walkin' in the rain
Money never feels any joy, honey it sure don't feel any pain I don't need money, all I need is you

"Money" is our final song to exit the bottom 5 and comes in as the second least polarizing song. While it did pick up some top 10 support from myself, d3vin44, and taylor, most of the group ended up putting this somewhere within' their top 15. This also picked up two bottom 5 rankings from castleoblivion26 and .indulgecountry.

Alright, I'm going to stop there for now and might swing back around later this evening to reveal a few more songs. I'll also be doing a few other showcases over the course of the rankdown in which I'll be highlighting some of K.T.'s other songs.

Sorry taylor but I thought "A Moment of Forever" was absolutely awful. "Two Hearts" is my highest loss so far and even it I was pretty meh on, so this is off to a fine start.

Since I've got some time I'm going to go ahead and reveal the next three songs. This'll get us to the top 12 which means come tomorrow I'll already be tackling the top 10.
With that, coming right up is song #15!

And I'll swear that I love you, I love you forever And when forever is over I'm gonna be kind 'Cause I don't see any reason To leave a heart all broken and bleeding Especially when that fatal heart might be mine

"This Woman" is the first song to leave just shy of the bottom 5 where it was only separated by a mere two points! On the heels of losing their top ranking song followed swiftly by a near top 5 loss, my condolences go to taylor who is having a bit of a rough go as the rankdown progresses! This time around they lose a top 5 who is joined there by LBTrocks who loses their second top ranking song. The majority of the group, however, put this somewhere within' their top 15.

Well this has got to be the worst I've ever performed in a rankdown I thought "A Moment of Forever" was absolutely lovely and a perfect ending to the playlist. "This Woman" was also a great song imo. </3

The final two songs being revealed this evening also brings us to our second of three ties in the rankdown. I ended up using the song with the lower standard deviation as there wasn't much separating them considering they both garnered two last place rankings along with a handful of top 10s.

Well it only takes one broken heart To learn what it's all about Some you win, some you lose And if you're lucky you get some get rained out But you got to keep on, keeping on Walking to the light Passing all the wrong ones up To get to the one that's right 14. “Get Back In the Saddle”Released: 1993 (Album Track Only) Album: Greatest Hits: Songs from an Aging Sex Bomb Total: 178 Average: 11.87 Std Dev: 5.85 (6th Highest) {Songs Remaining}80’s Ladies Come Next Monday Do Ya’ Do You Think About Me Hey Bobby Hold Me I’ll Always Come Back Live Close By, Visit Often Lonely But Only for You New Way Home Silver Tongue and Goldplated Lies Wall of Tears Younger Men

I've always really enjoyed “Get Back in the Saddle” as I remember listening to it on K.T.'s Greatest Hits album. Even though it was a new recording it was never released as a single, so I thought it'd be fun to include it here and I'm glad to see some of y'all seemed to enjoy this one as well. It remained a consistent top 15 performer thanks to the support it received including three top 5s from McCreerian, .indulgecountry, and LBTrocks along with three top 10s from bboat11, castleoblivion26, taylor (sorry again!).

Looking out my window, staring through the pain I can't see the rainbow for the rain, someday I'll forget you 'Life goes on, ' they say But they don't know what's standing in my way
Another morning finds me, still not over you Just another day to stumble through Nights go on forever, I’ve got nothing but time Even time can't mend this heart of mine 13. “Wall of Tears”Released: December 1986 Album: 80’s Ladies Peak Chart Position: #40 Total: 178 Average: 11.87 Std Dev: 5.03 (9th Highest) {Songs Remaining}80’s Ladies Come Next Monday Do Ya’ Do You Think About Me Hey Bobby Hold Me I’ll Always Come Back Live Close By, Visit Often Lonely But Only for You New Way Home Silver Tongue and Goldplated Lies Younger Men
