Alan Jackson Album Series
Having been the first artist signed to Arista Nashville Records in 1989, Alan Jackson has since gone on to sell over 40 million albums. Between 1989 and 2011, he released 16 studio albums, two Christmas albums, 10 compilation albums, and a tribute album for the label. His first two greatest hits albums (1995's The Greatest Hits Collection and 2003's Greatest Hits Volume II) as well as his 1992 studio album, A Lot About Livin' (And a Little 'bout Love), are three of highest-certified albums, each certified 6× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
We’ll first be covering his debut studio album for Arista alongside his most recent album released in 2015 which also was his first release on his own Alan’s Country Records in a joint venture with EMI Nashville. Going forward from there I’ll continue pairing each two albums as such. At this time I do not plan on covering The Bluegrass Album or his two Precious Memories gospel albums, however I might consider doing those at a later time upon completion of his regular studio albums.
