Here are some pre-reveal questions to get us started:
1. What will be #1?
2. What will be #12?
3. What song will be most polarizing? Least polarizing?
4. Where will the albums two singles place and will they even make the top 5? (It's Just That Way, Hard Hat and a Hammer)
5. What will be the five highest placing album tracks?
6. If an album track should win, which one do you think it will be?
7. Any other thoughts or predictions?

1. What will be #1? "Tailights Blue" is my guess.
2. What will be #12? It SHOULD be the lead single but something tells me at least a few people will prop that dreck up and something else forgettable like "That's Where I Belong" will get it instead.
3. What song will be most polarizing? Least polarizing? Most: "Freight Train" | Least: "That's Where I Belong"
4. Where will the albums two singles place and will they even make the top 5? (It's Just That Way, Hard Hat and a Hammer) "Hammer" will probably still make top 5. It's actually pretty decent.
5. What will be the five highest placing album tracks? "Tailights Blue," "After 17," "Till the End," "Every Now and Then," and either "True Love Is a Golden Ring" or the title track.
6. If an album track should win, which one do you think it will be? See #1
7. Any other thoughts or predictions? "Freight Train" is one that I can see being fairly polarizing but I am HOPING that it lands in the top 5 because I love it. <3

1. What will be #1?Wild guess of "After 17" as that was one of my favorite discoveries on the album. 2. What will be #12?Wild guess of "The Best Keeps Getting Better". 3. What song will be most polarizing? "Hard Hat and a Hammer" Least polarizing? "After 17" 4. Where will the albums two singles place and will they even make the top 5? (It's Just That Way, Hard Hat and a Hammer)"It's Just That Way" will, hopefully, be in the bottom three or four. OTOH, "Hard Hat and a Hammer" might have a shot at making the top five. 5. What will be the five highest placing album tracks?"After 17", "I Could Get Used to This Lovin' Thing", "Big Green Eyes", title track, and "Taillights Blue". 6. If an album track should win, which one do you think it will be?Tough to say, but I hope enough people like "After 17" enough for it to be a #1 contender at least. 7. Any other thoughts or predictions?I'll confess to being a little hesitant upon listening to this album, but I found quite a few discoveries and/or missed single opportunities here. Also, I really hope "That's Where I Belong" doesn't get tanked too bad if it were to leave very soon.

It doesn't appear as though we're going to get any more predictions for this album, so I figure it's time to go ahead and get the train rolling! I'm going to reveal the bottom 4 songs first and then I'll return later this evening for a few more reveals.
I should've asked how soon will someone lose their top-ranked song because that is exactly what happens with the first song out. Any guesses as to what it might be?!

Released as the albums lead single in 2010, "It's Just That Way" becomes the first song to exit which likely doesn't come as much of a surprise considering it did exit in the bottom 4 in Alan's singles rankdown. This was the clear frontrunner to finish in last place as it ended up landing at the bottom of five participants list. While the majority of the rankings were in the bottom 4, this did manage to garner a bit of support including a top 5 from myself and a #1 ranking from gardyfan who unfortunately loses their top-ranked song right out of the gate.

Next up, we say goodbye to our least polarizing song which does consist of two top 5 rankings as well as one for last place.

We started out and life was perfect I never thought our love would change But years of ups and downs made a difference It's not the same as it was yesterday

Leaving next is the final track on the album “The Best Keeps Getting Better”. Much like the previous reveal, this was a clear bottom 2 contender for the entirety of its run as it garnered seven bottom 4 rankings which includes a last place from Kris Kringle. Although this did manage to pick up some top 5 support from ClevelandRox and castleoblivion26, the remaining participants put this just outside of their bottom 4 making this our least polarizing song of the album.

I'm actually not looking forward to the next reveal because I was really hoping to see this song do better. I personally feel like it's one of the standout tracks which I'm not alone in thinking as it did pick up a top 2 ranking. Another participant departs with their last place song as well as another bottom 2.

The love you thought was dead and gone, Somehow keeps on hanging on Even when your heart has left it far behind Just when you have turned the page It seems to find a way, There it is again
You can finally breathe life in, Without wondering where she's been Go to sleep at night without her on your mind In a second it appears Followed by familiar tears, Like a long lost friend 10. “Every Now and Then” Track: #2 Songwriters: Alan Jackson Total: 96 Average: 7.38 Std Dev: 3.33 (6th Lowest) {Songs Remaining}After 17 Big Green Eyes Freight Train Hard Hat and a Hammer I Could Get Used to This Lovin’ Thing Taillights Blue That’s Where I Belong Till the End True Love Is a Golden Ring

“Every Now and Then” becomes our second album track to exit which as I mentioned above is quite disappointing. This started off in the top 3 thanks to yours truly and then suddenly knee-jerked backwards as it picked up its first of four bottom 3 rankings. Just as quickly as it left the top 5, it returned thanks to castleoblivion26's top 2 ranking and remained for a short time as kw9461 joined me in the top 3. While it was able to withstand another bottom 3 ranking, it began to settle further back as a bottom 2 from someguy and a lone last place from Kanenrá:ke came in. It just wasn't ever able to recover from that and therefore it settled into the back of the album. I don't know quite yet how many songs are going to be in the album tracks rankdown, but I just might have to use my one and only golden buzzer for this song!

I'm going to do one more reveal for now which will round out the bottom 4. The next song consists of yet another top 2 ranking and a lone bottom 2. It is also our second least polarizing song.

“True Love Is a Golden Ring” is our final song to exit the bottom 4 and is also our second least polarizing song as the majority of the group placed this either at #8 or #9. This is our second song in a row to take a top 2 ranking away which comes at the expense of Kanenrá:ke (hmm, must be karma for tanking "Every Now and Then"). Three others lose a top 5 while Kris Kringle loses a bottom 2.

I'll be back later this evening to do a few more reveals! Any guesses as to which songs will miss the top 5?!

Hmm...quite surprised to see no major hits on my end. Also stunned to see the lead single out right out of the gate as I've been wondering how much of a factor singles bias would play in this rankdown.

Hmm...quite surprised to see no major hits on my end. Also stunned to see the lead single out right out of the gate as I've been wondering how much of a factor singles bias would play in this rankdown. I knew that single bias wasn't likely going to help "It's Just That Way" and if anything it hindered it as many seem to think it should've remained as an album track. What is somewhat surprising is that it was actually the second single from the album to exit in Alan's singles rankdown as "Hard Hat and a Hammer" left first. How much longer will that be able to hold on and will it be able to make the top 5?! Let's find out!

No, there's nothing wrong with a hard hat and a hammer Kind of glue that sticks this world together Hands of steel and cradle of the Promised Land God bless the working man 8. “Hard Hat and a Hammer” Track: #1 Songwriters: Alan Jackson Released: May, 2010 Billboard Peak Hot Country Songs: #17 Placement in Singles Rankdown: #63 out of 65 Total: 88 Average: 6.77 Std Dev: 3.47 (3rd Highest) {Songs Remaining}After 17 Big Green Eyes Freight Train I Could Get Used to This Lovin’ Thing Taillights Blue That’s Where I Belong Till the End

“Hard Hat and a Hammer” is the second and final single to exit from the album leaving seven album tracks remaining (I can't say whether or not that has happened yet in an album rankdown, but bboat11 might be able to answer that question for us!). This comes in as our third most polarizing song as it takes with it 🌺CountryLineDancer's #1 ranking as well as a last place from ClevelandRox. While this did pick up three additional bottom 2 rankings, the majority of the group actually placed this somewhere within their top 6 including four top fives.

And that leaves seven album tracks remaining with not one single in contention for the top 5! Our next two songs are tied in points and also clock in as the fourth and fifth most polarizing, so the tie-breaker went to the song which will see a third participant lose their #1.

I like the way you make me feel And what I feel, feels like it's real I never once said I love you Until I felt the one that's true 7. “I Could Get Used to This Lovin’ Thing” Track: #7 Songwriters: Alan Jackson Total: 85 Average: 6.54 Std Dev: 3.38 (5th Highest) {Songs Remaining}After 17 Big Green Eyes Freight Train Taillights Blue That’s Where I Belong Till the End

“I Could Get Used to This Lovin’ Thing” bows out next taking two last place rankings with including one from myself and kw9461. While it did garner two additional bottom 3 rankings, this ended up being better received than I would've guessed as seven participants placed this in their top 5 including a trio of top 3s. While I like the chorus well enough, overall I feel rather ambivalent about this song and it's always fallen to the back of the pack for me as I don't have any desire to revisit it. As I mentioned above, this is tied in points with our next song which includes a #1 ranking.

If we're ever free to love again, I know Straight to your waiting arms is where I'll go And there I'll stay forever and I'll prove to you again I'll go on loving you 'til the end 6. “Till the End” (with Lee Ann Womack) Track: #8 Songwriters: Cathy Gosdin Total: 85 Average: 6.54 Std Dev: 3.45 (4th Highest) {Songs Remaining}After 17 Big Green Eyes Freight Train Taillights Blue That’s Where I Belong

“Till the End” is our final song to leave just before the top 5 and comes in as our fourth most polarizing song. After having just lost his #2 song earlier this afternoon, castleoblivion26 becomes our third participant to lose their top-ranked song while George Strait Junkie also loses a top 2. This was in fact a top 3 contender in the middle of its run, but an influx of bottom 3 rankings came in towards the end including a last place from Cody Wants Out.... Even though it picked up an additional top 3 ranking from .indulgecountry, it was just never able to recover from those bottom 3 rankings.
