10. Any other thoughts or predictions? This album took a few listens for me to fully appreciate everything, but I really got into it once I did! I really have no idea how the ballad album tracks will all fare against each other, but I did feel like the uptempos were overall more memorable, so that's why I mostly have them ahead in my predictions.

*This took a little more time to grow on me than anticipated, but there's actually quite a few gems on here imo. I'm also pretty sure that my #1 will be one of the first to go so I'm starting to brace myself!

It did, more or less. "The One You're Waiting On" won, so a single won. But then "You Can Always Come Home" and "Jim And Jack And Hank" tied for #2/3, with YCACH winning the tie-breaker!

"Nothin' Fancy" was our clear front-runner to exit first and at a minimum remained a bottom 2 contender throughout the duration of the rankdown. It picked up 11 bottom 3 rankings which consisted of five rankings alone for last place. The only support it managed to pick up was a couple of top 3 rankings from Troublemaker and 🌺CountryLineDancer who actually loses their #2 song right out of the gate.

bboat11 can rest easy knowing that at least "Dixie Highway" wasn't able to escape the bottom 2, although it was never quite the last place contender that some of you might've thought it'd be. Even still, it was never able to escape the bottom 3 and once it settled into the bottom 2 it remained in that position for the duration of the rankdown. Both bboat11 and myself lose our lowest-ranked song while a handful of others also lose a bottom 3. Yet again though we have someone losing their second top-ranked song (ClevelandRox) and unfortunately Troublemaker loses a second top 5 ranking already.

"Life Keeps Bringing Me Down" is our final song to exit the bottom 3 and is also our second least polarizing song. While this was a consistent bottom 5 contender, it more or less bounced around at the lower end of the top 10 as it picked up a bit of early support including a top 6 from George Strait Junkie and a top 3 ranking from Cody Wants Out.... It only settled back outside of the top 10 towards the last quarter of the rankdown when it picked up its third bottom 3 ranking as well as a last place ranking from Kris Kringle.

“Her Life's a Song” is our first song to exit in the top 10 where it remained consistently during the course of its run. This got off to a great start thanks to a top 3 ranking from Kanenrá:ke, but was quickly followed-up by two bottom 3 rankings from George Strait Junkie and myself. It momentarily regained its momentum with someguy's top 5 ranking only to be sent back yet again by a bottom 2 from castleoblivion26. It remained steady from there until a third top 5 ranking from kw9461 gave this song a bit more life and even found its way back just a couple spots shy of the top five. It lost its footing yet again though with a bottom ranking from ClevelandRox and settled into the back of the top 10 from there.

The last song I'm going to reveal this evening unfortunately also contains our very first #1 loss of the rankdown. This comes in as the fourth most polarizing song as it also contains a handful of bottom 5 rankings.

You're safe...for now at least! "Everything but the Wings" was never really able to escape the bottom 5 as the average ranking mostly fell somewhere within the middle of the pack overall. This actually briefly fell back into the bottom 2 when it picked up its one and only last place ranking from Cody Wants Out.... Making this all the more polarizing though is that while it did mange to pick up four top 5 rankings, that was offset by the four additional bottom 3 rankings it also received. Unfortunately after already losing two top five rankings, Troublemaker becomes our first participant to lose their top ranking song as well.

To be fair to "Dixie Highway", if it had been a 2 1/2 minute song, I probably would have had it in my top 5! That melody is really catchy, and would be a lot of fun live for sure!

However, the song was absolutely INTERMINABLE... It just kept going on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and then the band would have a bunch of solos, and then it HAS to be over, but NOPE there's another verse, and then the band solos some more, and then it sounds like it could safely wrap up now, but wait there's ANOTHER verse, and then two more minutes of solos, and then another verse, more solos.....


It is literally the auditory equivalent of having to play "Pomp and Circumstance" on loop 287 times while the graduates parade slowly in front of the crowd two at a time to take their seats.
