Wish we weren't still doing rapless versions in 2021, but some things never change. Rap is skary.
The full version in that lyric video sounds much more complete than the Spotify/iTunes/etc retail versions.

That snippet sounds like a re-release single for Overexposed that would have gone between Love Somebody and Maps. Mentioning either of those songs is nauseating. Mentioning them both back-to-back should be against the Geneva Conventions |

I’m one of the biggest M5 fans you’ll find here, and I think this is decent, which is how I feel about all their post-GLY singles. Megan is pretty good and I like how she gets to show off her singing voice in the bridge.
I can’t tell you how happy I am they didn’t end the song around 2:06 and then go into an outro. After Lifestyle I was scared that was going to happen when I first listened to it lol. I think this will perform similarly to Wait, so respectable but not a huge hit. But I didn’t foresee Memories’ massive run at all so who knows.

Even Nobody’s Love did better in its first couple of days on iTunes (around #2/3), and it had to compete with Happy Anywhere and Folklore. If this isn’t doing well against Ava Max, Cardi B, and Elle King, it definitely won’t against Drake, Bieber, and Bruno when they release tomorrow. Maybe it’ll do better once the video comes out (especially if they release it tomorrow), but I can’t be too certain. |

The fact Adam still calls Maroon 5 a band is hilarious to me. This literally has a trap beat, with a guitar tacked onto the outro.
Megan I get why you got on this and I enjoyed your verse but you can do better and so can Maroon 5, this generic radio filler crap is getting old.

One of their better releases post-Overexposed, but that's not exactly a high bar. Thankfully, this doesn't reach the irritatingly bland/repetitive/fluff of "Don't Wanna Know," "Girls Like You," or "Memories," but it's also not something I want to keep going back to like "Animals," "Wait," or "Nobody's Love." This is just kinda there in the middle. Much like "Cold" or "What Lovers Do."
