EDIT AGAIN?!: Thank god and his release have no impact at all. This was just happened with some of his releases (GOOBA, TROLLZ, and album explosions from his album) has been flopped very hard.

You could have all streaming in your hands but if you donāt have any radio at all, well take your L anyways because youāre never going to hit #1 Okay but you failed to mention the other metrics: #1 on radio guarantees you a...? #1 on sales guarantees you a...? They all work together. Not sure why youāre picking out individual streaming services. May as well say #1 from Wal Mart sales gets you a..., #1 on NYCās top pop station gets you a... Thereās more to the measuring of popular music than streaming. |

People are now complaining that deluxes are too short now? Do you wanna head back to Nav, Gunna, Lil Uzi, Jhene Aiko and Pop Smoke levels of deluxe versions? I still think The Weeknd did his deluxe version the best, and he only gave us 3 tracks I think the issue here is that: 1 - For Dua Lipa, she was initially hinting at a B-side collection rather than just a deluxe, so many of us were led to believe she would be releasing more tracks (Ć la Carly Rae Jepsen), especially with so many leaked songs becoming quick favorites. While the final product still had four new tracks, it didn't live up to many people's expectations, made worse by "UN DIA" and "Prisoner" being cheaply tacked on to increase streams. 2 - For Ariana Grande, the problem is with the length of the tracks, with one interlude and three new songs all under 2:10. The general consensus is that the quality is there, but they feel like undercooked demos and would benefit from a bridge or instrumental breakdown. "test drive" in particular ends so abruptly. Personally, while I was hoping for a B side album from Dua, I enjoyed the "Moonlight Edition" for what it is, and the tracks from the "positions" deluxe were pretty charming, with the "someone like u" interlude and "worst behavior" working well for their length. But I understand the grievances. |

has HAIM gotten a hot 100 hit as the lead artist? if not would they get one this week? Gasoline would be their first! Their only charting song so far is no body, no crime as featured artists (#34 peak). Given the paltry streaming, it doesn't seem so likely now :( |

No noise for these new releases so far except Ariana Grande debuting at 5 on Spotify with test drive and NF debuting at 13 with CLOUDS so it looks like another week at 1 for Liv and I'm all for it.

The three main "positions" deluxe tracks managed to debut in the top 50, but so far, I can only see "test drive" potentially charting on the Hot 100.
On a pretty funny note, the "someone like u" interlude, the lowest charting at #67, still debuted one spot above the "Go Crazy" remix. Nice to see the GP followed our collective advice š
Also, due to a new TikTok viral moment, "motive" re-entered at #101, while "pov" is holding steady at #104. These two are begging to become future singles, and I hope Ariana's team is taking notice.

I agree, as a #1 in sales doesn't even guarantee a spot on the chart. As for radio, a #1 there almost guarantees a Top 10. There have been a few times when the radio #1 was #11 or #12, but I can't remember off the top of my head the last time it was lower than 12. |

Anyways, I feel like in order for deluxe editions to have any impact nowadays, they need to basically be a new album, like what Lil Uzi Vert and Nav (to a smaller extent) did last year. Although it's very probably that the genres of deluxe editions are what truly make a difference. |

I don't know if it's Stockholm Syndrome or what, but I'm dying for a true album bomb soon from Drake or Cardi or whichever big artist is ready to release next. These album reissues are doing nothing for me, and the paltry streaming numbers for those new tracks aren't helping matters, not to mention the lack of big releases is keeping songs that should have gone recurrent by now around for way too long (*cough* I Hope *cough*).

The highest-peaking Ariana Grande song on Apple Music US right now is the 34+35 remix at #27 (while Positions and Test Drive are at #29 & #30 respectively). That's enough to conclude that the deluxe version of her album isn't exactly smashing. |

Well considering that specific song has playlisting on AM and #1 on TTH, it's really not doing that great. It's clearly being given that single treatment of playlisting. I mean, it's not a single. Not getting pushed as such. My guess is that Spotify chose to playlist it because she was the biggest artist on the platform in December and January. I was responding to the person that said her deluxe is flopping and should end the deluxe trend, which is clearly not the case, considering her album consumption is projected to go up by ~80% this week. The song is very short and too reminiscent of "motive" in my opinion, it's not like I think it's going to smash or anything. |
