If this holds true, would Drake be the first artist to debut two of his own singles in the top 2? I don't think that's ever happened before (unless you count American Idol, which I don't).

Only 5 artists predicted to be in the top 10, ridiculous! And people have a problem with sales??

switch 7 rings and TUN. God is a woman was also half decent. Also add 34+35 into the awful pile... Nah, 7 rings is awful, it's her worst hit song to date. IMO, it's her worst song in general. She has a few other mediocre ones that come close (especially from Sweetener), but 7 Rings pissed me off from the moment I heard it. There's no way it should be her biggest hit to date.

it can be both the best so far and yet still terrible. I mean, the bar is pretty much on the floor when it comes to the quality of Justin's music but Hold On is the best thing he's released in a really long time, even if it isn't that great. Still counts for something.

I doubt it's ever happened but even more interesting to me, has any song that's at least 6 minutes 23 seconds long ever reached the top 10, yet alone the top 5? I know the longest song to ever chart on the Hot 100 was 9 minutes 57 seconds long but that song peaked at #78.

Because that record was actually broken a few years later when Fear Inoculum by Tool charted at #93 in 2019 (10 minutes, 23 seconds). As for whether there's been a longer song to reach the top 10, I'm sure back in the days of disco there were top 10 singles that had 12-inch versions that exceeded 7 minutes, but beyond that I don't know.

Wasn't Donna Summer's version of MacArthur Park #1 in late 1978? I'm pretty sure that one was more than 6.5 minutes. That one just seems to go and on.

The most recent song in the Top 5 to go at least that long was Mirrors by Justin Timberlake in 2013, which was just over 8 minutes.

It's hard to say "longest song" for older hits because of single/radio edits, but there were definitely some lengthy songs that hit the top ten (and even number one). The Beatles' "Hey Jude" spent 9 weeks at number one in 1968 in its full 7:11 version. That same year the original Richard Harris version of "MacArthur Park" clocked in at 7:20 and reached number 2 (Donna Summer's version of "MacArthur Park" had a 4 minute edit that was the most popular version on radio). Don McLean's 1972 #1 hit "American Pie" was 8:36. Also in 1972 the Temptations' "Papa Was A Rollin' Stone" topped the Hot 100 with a run time of 6:53. Guns N'Roses' "November Rain" also comes to mind...while there was a 4:45 single edit the full 9 minute album version featured in the video got most of the airplay. That peaked at number 3 in 1992. "Bohemian Rhapsody", while under 6 minutes, has gone top ten twice with a run time of 5:55.
So yes, there have been longer top ten hits than "Lemon Pepper Freestyle".

So the Grammys just announced the performers but it was only 23 while the poster had 26 spaces to fill. Who do you think are the other three?

Please, not "Circles" again! - and this is coming from someone who dearly loves the song. I don't think he'll be pushing any new music, sadly. I hope he can perform a deep cut from the album like "A Thousand Bad Times" or the title track, but he's most likely participating in a tribute.

With Cardi B on the list of Grammy performers (and Drake, Bruno, and Olivia absent), Up should have the upper hand on the #1 race for the 3/27 chart.

I'd argue it's possible Drake could still occupy the top spot (or even top 2 spots) that week if those songs remain consistent. And because his hits tend to be more stable when they're tied to an upcoming album (see God's Plan and One Dance), that could very well happen.

I'm really looking forward to watching Doja's vision for the song. "Say So" was a sublime music video!

While we're on the topic of upcoming releases, apparently Imagine Dragons will finally be releasing their next single on Friday after a couple of years away from the spotlight. They've been posting teasers to their Twitter recently.

UGH. Another case of too little, too late. If this was timed better, she could have scored herself another solo top 10 hit. Streets is projected to drop to #26 on this week's chart and with her releasing the video on a Monday, it won't even have 4 full tracking days to count for next week's chart. Just a miss all around. Excited for the video, though.

Excited for the video, though. I disagree. I mean obviously if they had this ready when the song took off, it would have helped out a lot, but if this is a good video, it'll still boost it. Timed well with her Grammy performance. Depending on what she does on the stage, and how the award show goes for her in general, it could actually become a Top 10 hit for her in the coming weeks.
