not me having the best lowest rank and 4th best number of top 20s and still losing my #1 :( at least I’m basically guaranteed to be happy with the winner

30. The Troggs - "Wild Thing" Definitely in my top 5. It is simple , but shows the the harder Guitar rock styles that would eventually become Rock's staple sound. Better than Tone Loc's verison and even Sam Kinison's, but not his video of the song. Tawny Kitaen and the Glam Metal cameos made sure of that.
29. Los Bravos - "Black Is Black" Another flawless Top 20 melodic rock song for me. Love the organs. This kind of rock style was known as "Beat" or "Freakbeat". I feel this song inspired a little of The Doors "Touch Me". Especially with the added horns section. This band was actually from Spain so what you see in the video was actually a little taste of thier worlwide success.
28. The Left Banke - Walk Away Renee" This was just alright. Sounded like a first time listen. It foloows a nice melody. The teen singing actually sounds a lot older. Like a Neil Diamond vibe. An aspect I didn't find too appealing.
27. Bobby Fuller Four - "I Fought the Law" I slotted this one in my top 40, but I'm more familar with the Clash's version. I think Green Day did one too. The song lalso lends itself for Ska style.
26.The Monkees - "Last Train To Clarksville" Jeez there is no other way to descride this rank except WTF??? Easily my favorite Monkees jam. Did anyone guess this would be my #1? Well it was ,and I doubt my rank would get into the top 20. It really didn't get tanked at all, but I expected a better showing for this jam.
25. The Surfaris - Wipe Out!" Good slot. I gave it a #33. Just a fun beach banger of the time.
24. Simon and Garfunkel - "I Am A Rock" Besides "Mrs Robinson" I care very little for this Folkrock duo. I gave it a #61. The highest rank for thier songs appearing on this list. The chorus shows signs of life and I like the theme of strength when it comes to showing feelings. At least that's what I get out of the lyrics.
23. The Young Rascals - "Good Lovin" This easily scores top 15 on my list, because well listen and figure it out. It rocks.
22. Dusty Springfield - "You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me" Not my cup of tea. Strong vocals is a plus and I did give it a medium #57 . The most I'm familiar with her is on that Pet Shop Boys song. You know which one.
I lost my would be #1 and I think my only top 10's remaining come form Britains BIGGEST names in rock. At least tried with some Under Dogs.

Sadly, I've been feeling down for the past few days - this combined with long work shifts meant I haven't gotten back to revealing. But don't worry! Everything else will be revealed tomorrow.
21-11 in the early afternoon, with the top 10 in the evening.

Reveals are starting at 6 PM tonight! I might even finish the whole thing, since I know I've been moving slowly here. Question: What do you guys expect to be top 10 and what do you expect as the winner?

I will be foolish enough to hazard a guess about the Top 10:
Four Tops - Reach Out I’ll Be There The Supremes - You Can’t Hurry Love The Mamas and The Papas - California Dreamin’ The Beatles - We Can Work It Out The Rolling Stones - Paint It, Black The Supremes - You Keep Me Hangin’ On The Temptations - Ain’t Too Proud To Beg Simon and Garfunkel - The Sound of Silence Stevie Wonder - Uptight (Everything’s Alright) The Beach Boys - Sloop John B (NOT VERY SURE ABOUT THIS ONE - Perhaps Jimmy Ruffin?)
As far as #1, I'm thinking something Motown. Supremes?

#21 : Here we go, guys. It's good to be back. For this one, 13 people ranked this top 50 (vs. 4). Note that from now on, the amount of people who ranked it bottom 50 will be formatted with the "vs" and then the number. Obviously, the bottom 50 and top 50 should always be equal to 17. 6 ranked it top 20, 2 then went even further and put it top 10. One person even ranked it in their top 5! Hint

Tornadoes can rejoice with this one.
I mean, when do Simon and Garfunkel not sound great? I do like the lyrics here, but the instrumental for this one was probably the least interesting to me of the three. They have good harmony as usual too. I liked the tempo difference too, so that's a plus.
But I think we all knew that "Sound of Silence" was gonna be the top song here for them.

I'm back. #20 has 15 top 50s [vs. 2], 7 top 20 ranks, and even a top 10 rank! Someone felt gloomy about it, though. It was not only a bottom 20, but a bottom 5 too. There will not be a hint for this one, but I will post the one I was going to use.

#19 was more divided on those placing it top 50. 13 people did such (vs. 4), 6 placed it top 20, but this one beat out #20 with 2 top 10 placements and no bottom 20s. Hint:

I liked this one alot too. Parts I especially liked were the background synth/violins, the bombastic piano intro, and the dark echos in parts of the song.

#18 has 14 top 50 ranks (vs. 3), with 5 top 20s and only 1 top 10 - but its also a top 5, and the person losing it hasn't lost any top 5's yet. There is one bottom 20.

BB🌕 and singingrulebritannia had both previously had their top 10 intact, and were the last two to have such. However, they both just lost a top 10, one losing a top 5. My condolences. What a fun song. It used to be played in concert bands when I was in middle school and high school.

Unfortunately, I won't reveal anymore songs tonight. I have work at 10, but I will make sure to start back for tomorrow (hopefully I will remember, I just had a lot of stuff to do. I will do my next rankdowns much more quickly than this one - which was my first one)

21. Simon and Garfunkel - "Homeward Bound" There it is. That last song in my bottom 10. This is just not for me in any way shape or form. This is about as folky as the top 100 can get.
20. The Temptations - "Ain't Too Proud To Beg" This is more like it.The Motown sound never gets old.
19. Jimmy Ruffin - "What Becomes of The Brokenhearted" Can't say I'm too familiar with this song. Kinda gospel-ish. It's alright, but I never would have guessed this song being one of the top 20 ones here.
18. The Hollies - "Bus Stop" Looks like we are finally in tune. I gave this one #19. Great song. More my style when it comes to 1960's rock. Sharing an Umbrella in the rain with a future wife. I love those lyrics.
17. Wilson Pickett - "Land of 1000 Dances" NRGetic to the max gave it an easy Top 30 rank. I guess some more comtemprary bands have made covers of this song....that sound nothing like this.

I apologize for not revealing yesterday and today. I get that I keep doing that, but I'm sorry. This time, I want to make sure I do it right.
