Yes, Saweetie and SZA have no reason to touch anything by Dr. Luke, end of story.

Didn't Dr.Luke acquit from rape, abuse allegations in court? So were Rodney King's violators. And OJ Simpson.

So were Rodney King's violators. And OJ Simpson. Did they have one victim or several victims? First of all, the claims against Dr Luke were dismissed because of the statue of limitations, not because he was found not guilty. Secondly, other artists have spoken out against him so I am not sure what your point is here.

My understanding of the suit against Dr Luke is that it doesn't look great for Kesha. She said under oath in 2011 that Dr Luke never abused her, said Katy Perry and Lady Gaga were raped by Luke (they deny this), and entered contracts after working witn him. On the other hand, part of why it was dropped was statute of limitations reasons, which is a bad look for Luke - it implies that it might've happened. FWIW, I can't find evidence that it happened but I can't find evidence that it didn't.
IMO backing Dr Luke is probably fine, but still not something I'm 100% comfortable with (just because it's he said she said doesn't mean what she said was wrong).

So why should i believe Kesha? Especially after her trying to bring Katy Perry into this issue? He is not guilty unless it's proven and what you guys are doing defamation here.

Pulse having a normal one defending people with credible rape allegations in a Billboard hot 100 thread at 10 in the morning π
Excited for Save Your Tears to likely go #1!

So, SYT is gonna be Ariana's 4th Hot 100 no 1 in a span of 1 year, since SWU. Must be ths fastest accumulation of 4 Hot 100 no. 1s since Katy Perry in mid 2010 to mid 2011, or Rihanna in 2010?
Also, probably an interesting trivia about Ariana, has it ever happened, an artist with consecutive Hot 100 no 1s from multiple separate projects/not from 1 album era? - SWU, e charity project - ROM, a duet - Positions, an album single - SYT, a feature remix
How about Madonna in late 80s/early 90s? I think her album projects & soundtrack projects produced like some no. 1s and top 10s in similar charting year.

It feels weird that Ari is gonna have 6 number 1s, I remember a few years ago she couldnβt buy a number 1 and now sheβs gonna have 6 in a span of 3 years.

Ha and she's getting them for what are ultimately less popular songs. Some of these are obviously orchestrated and taking advantage of timing and tactics. Many of her non-#1s were actually more popular than these that hit #1.

I may be wrong, but it's only the end of the second day and Save Your Tears Remix has already declined on Apple Music + is on track to lose #1 on iTunes -- this remix seems like a one-week thing. The crediting is about to be another 34+35 Remix, S&M Remix, etc mess if so lol. Billboard should maybe consider giving credits for remixes if only they're still a prominent version after 3-4 weeks (unless the remix is the version initially pushed at radio -- i.e. Bad Blood, Levitating). Seems like they get it wrong more times than not. These remixes don't even last 1 full week, meaning they were simply a prominent version for a few days. Britney, Beyonce, & Ariana got #1's out of simply having a prominent version for a few days that was still hugely boosted by the original at that. Iβd even argue remixes could be counted separately and just have the song appear twice on the chart. Would make for interesting results Iβm sure.

SYT remix is now down to #5 on US Spotify with 1.2M. Combined with the original, itβs now at #2 behind RAPSTAR.
Should still be enough for #1 this week (if it stabilizes) due to much better radio.

I have thoughts about the Dr Luke discussion above. I think it's possible to believe & support Kesha, while also supporting other artists that are working with that garbage person. At the end of the day, he wasn't found guilty and just a couple of days ago Kesha's appeal to his defamation lawsuit was denied. Kim Petras, whose music I enjoy a lot, expressed that she genuinely enjoys working with him, and I'm not going to punish her for that. Now if he tried to slap his name on songs as an artist/feature as a producer like Zedd, Calvin Harris etc, it would be a different story. I am willing to stream "Best Friend" and "Heart to Break" if it means we're getting Saweetie, Doja, and Kim to have the success they deserve, and the minimal streaming revenue Dr. Puke earns is negligible. This is the same logic I used when I supported Kesha's Rainbow album. I'd rather have that album chart as a "fuck you" to him instead of worrying about the fact that it was released by his label and he is making money off of it.

It's funny reading this thread because some of you are making it sound like "Save Your Tears" is an Ariana original and The Weeknd is just a footnote, when it's already a solo Pop #1 for him lol.

Yeah the Remix loophole is getting out of hand at this point. I'm fine with them combining numbers for the remix with the original, but There should be a threshold for when you can credit the remixing artists, because crediting Ariana for a cheap remix here is ridiculous. I agree with what someone said earlier, they should make it a minimum of like 5 weeks that the remix has to stay above the original in points. That will set the actually successful remixes (What's Poppin, Savage, Old Town Road, Despacito) apart from these cheap ones that have no lasting impact and yet still get credit (BTS, Nicki, Ariana, etc).

I think her album projects & soundtrack projects produced like some no. 1s and top 10s in similar charting year. It wasn't within a year but yes, Madonna had 4 number ones from different projects within a 3 year span: "Like A Prayer" in 1989 from the album of the same name, "Vogue" in 1990 from the 'Dick Tracy' soundtrack, "Justify My Love" in early '91 from "The Immaculate Collection" hits set, and "This Used To Be My Playground" in 1992 from the 'A League Of Their Own' soundtrack. Between 1991 and 1993 Mariah Carey had 4 consecutive number ones from 4 different projects: "I Don't Wanna Cry" was the 4th and final number one from her debut album in spring of '91, "Emotions" from the album of the same name in the fall of '91, "I'll Be There" from MTV Unplugged in the summer of '92, and "Dreamlover" from 'Music Box' in the fall of '93. In 2000-2001, Destiny's Child had 3 number ones from three different projects: "Say My Name" from 'The Writing's On The Wall', "Independent Women" from the 'Charlie's Angels' soundtrack, and "Bootylicious" from 'Survivor'. ("Independent Women" was later included on 'Survivor' but that's not where it originally came from) I didn't check the Beatles but I'm sure they did it or had even more than 4...they were releasing multiple albums and soundtracks per year in the mid 60s, plus several of their number ones were stand-alone singles with no parent album.

Why does it matter? It's literally one week that Ariana will be credited (I'm assuming). You will all be fine, I promise. It is not something to be angry about.
