I wonder where Butter ended up then, I’m a little shocked she ended up blocking BTS in both the US and WW.
To answer my question, it ended up at 10.

I feel like I’m gonna be disappointed that Sun Goes Down underperforms and I want to be wrong so badly. That’s the same as expecting Your Power to be a smash hit. I wouldn’t call it under performing, I mean when you look at the contents of either song, it’s kind of a miracle they are doing that well to begin with. |

It’s gonna be interesting to find out how Billie‘s gonna perform compared to Olivia‘s opening. I‘m predicting a lower peak for her best performing song, but overall higher per-track streams.

Maybe depleting their coffers early on to guarantee a #1 debut will make the army's endless bulk sales in future weeks a bit less.

Billboard's too inconsistent to even know what's going to happen Just a few months ago they randomly prevented Savage Love from Going recurrent despite it falling to #51 after 30 weeks. Out of all the songs ..... 😂 Songs can’t go recurrent if they gain points that week. Not sure if that was the case with savage love or it was truly a random inconsistency |

Probably a flashier debut but less stability. Nothing Billie has dropped since Everything I Wanted has seemed to resonate with people, even Therefore I Am which was basically Bad Guy 2.0. needed radio to prop it up in the top 20. After this album I think she'll settle into her role as an album artist rather than a hits artist. |

Butter’s physicals ship in June. Until then, I guess we will have BTS fans mass streaming and also buying. There still haven’t been remixes dropped and I heard those were coming so there’s that. An argument can be made, they’re currently outselling any of her singles and beating her on Youtube but she’s beating them on every streaming so far other than Youtube so it’s a debate. |

absolutely insane numbers for Olivia, wow! i wonder if this will translate into her next era or not. if it does, we have our next superstar on our hands. exciting.
also amazing performance for Butter, i guess that’s the biggest Spotify debut ever right? it’s a huge improvement after Dynamite, which was already a huge improvement over their previous single.
i was hoping for bigger number for LNX but nevertheless, this is such a fun week for new releases lol.

Olivia is outperforming on streaming platforms in the US, but Butter is doing better in sales, radio and Youtube streams (for context, G4U got 5M streams on Spotify, Butter had 10M on Youtube). same goes for Global - Butter did 2x more YT views than the entire Sour album on Spotify. globally, on Spotify the US numbers made Liv’s overall numbers bigger and she’s doing better in most Western/European countries, but Bts has a huge lead in every single Asian country (pretty sure they’ve debuted #1 in every single Asian chart). on social media and music forums, both have been discussed to death. you probably can’t find a thread from the recent weeks that doesn’t frequently mention Bts or Olivia. on Twitter, both are making waves - it’s naturally bigger for Bts tho. i don’t think it’s fair to act like Bts had no impact, lol. Butter is easily the best performing song we’ve had since DL and now G4U - both from an artist that is blowing up, especially on Tiktok, the biggest influence on today’s music consumption. they’re both doing amazingly and this week will be super fun to watch |
