BTS had online two days concert on sunday and monday. And armys were gifting each other tickets that cost more than $40. Even I got asked twice if I wanted free ticket for no reason. And it wasn't like 10 people. It was thousands. And now some are planning to create donation pool for future concerts so poor fans would have tickets. You all keep saying that BTS stans are only donating money to each other for charts and nothing else. But it's army culture. And also no matter how angry you all are, it doesn't matter because right now some BTS members are on weverse (which is created by Bighit and it's like twitter kinda) 2am after 2+ hours concert and talk with fans and thank them for another #1. Ans this is all fans care about because they have this strong bond with BTS. Even if this sound super cheesy.

Butter #1 Digital falls from 10-19 on Streaming moves from 32-28 on radio So some people somewhere are hearing the song I heard the song twice on Z100 so I'm sure thousands know or have heard the song outside the "bubble" or "niche" of BTS army/stans. I don't agree with the sales/possibly fraudulent stuff but I don't think Butter is totally unknown, the previous single (what was called? Film?) maybe, never heard that one on the radio or anywhere.

Itn was japanese single, just for japanese market. You couldn't hear it on the radio.

I would even say that Butter has underperformed in streaming in the US - globally it has done a bit better on Spotify than Dynamite but not that much. It's #7 on global Spotify. Pretty good but not the biggest smash ever the army pretends it to be. It's outstreaming dynamite in the US tho, yes it's debut was slightly smaller but it's weeks 2 and 3 have both outstreamed dynamite. As for global spotify, if it has similar longevity to dynamite it will most likely end up outstreaming most songs above it in 3-4 months.

i'm sick of the arguing over bts to be quite honest. as someone who follows many armys on twitter, a lot of them do very much care about chart placements and i consistently see them talking about buying whichever single is being promoted. ONE fanbase mass buying a song does not dictate what the most popular song of the week is especially when a certain other song has been topping the charts on spotify for three weeks. i love butter, i'm happy bts has success. but it's time to stop going back and forth with the same bs, we all know exactly what this is and if they're gonna pretend they aren't mass buying they should probably do a much better job hiding it They are not hiding the fact that they use sales to their advantage, they have been very open about that actually.

So basically one Pulse "Favorite" is #1 and the other "favorite" is not maybe read a different chart this week or for a while I guess until the BTS thing dies down? That might be too much for some.

This chart week has been fairly uneventful, really. However, it's worth giving a shout-out to Bad Bunny managing to debut in the top 10 yet again, and the second time with an all-Spanish song (maybe third if "M.I.A." counts, but it had Drake's star power driving it). This is so wonderful to see!
Also, some debuts...
And sadly, our collective WORST OF THE WEEK by defaut

"Lost Cause" is also the first Happier than Ever single not to debut inside top 10. Seems to be the next radio single now, so we'll see...

Yeah dynamite is nearing 45 weeks in the top 10 over there (it's never even left the top 10 since release), and butter has been breaking streaming records as well.

Do these numbers look weird to anyone? Global 200: g4u #1 - 109.5M streams and 17.6k sales
Global 200 excl. US: Butter #1 - 106.1M streams and 36.6k sales
Butter almost has the same amount of streams as g4u even excluding US streams (which is supposedly 15.4M this week) and it has more sales even excluding US as well. So why is it #2 globally?

Something really wrong with the Billboard formula. Butter is not the #1 song in the Usa. The #1 song should be Good 4 U.

The BTS is beyond ridiculous, mass buying shouldn't be allowed. period. Would be funny if in the end BTS's label Wass the one financing the army and their own sales lol.
But personally having 16 album tracks from L&L charting is also silly. Those streams should be in the album charts only, not on both, thats double counting.

One track sale = 200 premium streams = 900 ad-supported The ad-supported to premium stream ratio is 4.5 to 1

Is everyone just going to ignore the weirdness of the global 200 this week? Which part? I found it quite weird that "Butter" is #1 on the US and the Global excluding US chart but then somehow the formula adds up to "good 4 u" being #1 on the Global chart... I guess they weight US downloads differently? I don't know.

US number was 106.1M and it's US number was 15.4M, that should be 121.5M streams on the global chart. Not to mention it has over double the sales of g4u globally even without US sales.

Regardless of streaming or sales, if "Butter" is the #1 song on the Global chart without the US, one would figure that adding the US points (where it's also #1) would make it the #1 song on the overall Global chart.

^^Butter had more than triple the weekly global music video views than Good 4 U according to YouTube. YouTube is considered ad-supported.
