I wish he’d never said the N word, the only point I’m trying to make is that the punishment will never be enough for some people. I just like his music and I understand if this incident makes people not Wanna listen to him. But it will not be enjoyable for me to hear this stuff every time his name is brought up or he releases a single or album for the rest of his career, which I feel is likely to happen. i'm not going to continue flooding this thread, but you can't get mad when you stan a problematic artist and people talk about their problematic behavior. if you have an issue with other people discussing his use of slurs while conversing about him, that is on YOU and you can take that up with God I don’t Stan anyone, I just like great songs like “sand in my boots”.

where did i say that? i said the only damage his career hit was getting his radio taken away, but that does nothing when his (seemingly large) fanbase was still streaming and buying away. his singles fell off prematurely, but his album still being top 5 lets everyone know that what he did didn't affect his success as an artist and everything you've posted leads me to believe you couldn't care less about what repercussions he has/should've been met with and you're just waiting for it to be over I wish he’d never said the N word, the only point I’m trying to make is that the punishment will never be enough for some people. I just like his music and I understand if this incident makes people not Wanna listen to him. But it will not be enjoyable for me to hear this stuff every time his name is brought up or he releases a single or album for the rest of his career, which I feel is likely to happen. I mean, he brought it to himself. He was the one being a drunken mess getting himself into trouble, which already soured his name to many (remember the SNL controversy where he was removed from the line-up after partying maskless). Then, after being forgiven, this incident happens, and with Mickey Guyton hinting he's used the slur before, the backlash was deserved, and unless he seriously works on improving himself - and as dremolus said, actively fight against racial injustice, people have the right to associate him with it. If you like his music, that's your prerogative, but you have to accept he won't be well-liked in most music circles. I have several artists I love who are hated here, and unlike Wallen, for no proper reason outside disdain for their music. Finally, as others have mentioned, because of the intrinsically racist nature of the country industry and its demographic, his career wasn't nearly as affected as it could have been for a 27-year-old artist in any other genre - the album's massive success is proof. Sadly, he is going to be fine in the long-term.

I don’t Stan anyone, I just like great songs like “sand in my boots”. If Morgan's team was smart, they should let go of Wasted On You, and push Sand In My Boots as the next single.

If we eliminated every person in the music industry that did something stupid drunk you wouldn't have many artists left. Fact of the matter is he got caught doing it. Here's hoping he learned from all the backlash he got and has rehabilitated himself to be better so he/we can move on from this.

The remix of Peaches, which replaces Daniel Caesar and Giveon with Usher, Snoop Dogg, and Ludacris, is out now on Apple Music. Should be available elsewhere soon. This is going to be as useless as Life is good Remix. I like the remix better than the original, but I (mostly) agree from a pure chart perspective. It reminds me of the 90s r&b/hip-hop remixes where the main artist would be reduced to hook singer on their own song, and several rappers would hop on in place of the verses. Pop isn't going to touch this and Justin fans aren't going to gravitate to it since he's not on it nearly as much. This could maybe do something for him on urban/r&b airplay though (where he's currently stalled in the teens), either a new peak or at least an extended run there. Depends on how much that matters to him or his label.

Cuz you know it’s true lol there's no such thing as a woke mob or cancel culture or whatever the f**k, Morgan Wallen got temporarily pulled from radio for saying the N word and his punishment was getting the #1 album of 2021 so far ( #1 by a pretty good margin, too). All there is are people suffering the consequences of their actions and they don't even get punished half the time (those sales for Morgan Wallen were INSANE). In fact, here's the iTunes US estimate for Feb. 4, 2021: #1. Morgan Wallen - More Than My Hometown - 2,515 #2. Tom MacDonald - Fake Woke - 2,212 #3. Morgan Wallen - Wasted On You - 2,074 #4. Morgan Wallen - Whiskey Glasses - 1,890 #5. Morgan Wallen - 7 Summers - 1,624 #6. Morgan Wallen - Sand In My Boots - 1,561 #7. Olivia Rodrigo - drivers license - 1,185 #8. Morgan Wallen - Chasin' You - 1,169 #9. Justin Bieber - Anyone - 987 #10. Morgan Wallen - Up Down (feat. Florida Georgia Line) - 930 #11. The Weeknd - Blinding Lights - 914 #12. CJ - Whoopty - 837 #13. Dua Lipa - Levitating (feat. DaBaby) - 719 #14. Nate Dogg & Warren G - Regulate - 714 #15. Ed Sheeran - Afterglow - 710 #16. Salt-N-Pepa - Push It - 687 #17. Morgan Wallen - Somebody’s Problem - 681 #18. AJR - Bang! - 647 #19. Louis Tomlinson - Defenceless - 618 #20. Morgan Wallen - This Bar - 611 A total of 5,063 sales in one day (just whats in the top 20 and just singles lmao). Wallen was doing fine, better than he had ever done before. Your idea of cancel culture isn't real.

^Lol, I forgot all that happened around the time Tom MacDonald was ruling iTunes en route to his first Hot 100 entry. That was a rough time to follow that platform.

I really like that a rich celebrity making fractionally less money than usual is considered suffering.

If his album wasn’t the biggest of the year even before the incident. He would have been gone longer.
People like the music obviously so the demand is there. From a label and radio standpoint, Money talks.

U haven't been been following the platform I see 😂😂😂. He's another trash dis week projected to do 22k I absolutely have been following it for a while, and yes, I'm aware he has another song topping iTunes right now. I was referring more to the lethal combination of Tom MacDonald's first "smash" and all the Morgan Wallen tracks rising after the incident back in early February of this year.

You gave the answer yourself: "Morgan Wallen got temporarily pulled from radio for saying the N word" - that is cancelling. So wanting people to be punished and held accountable for the shitty things they do is "cancelling" them 🙄🙄🙄
