 Hello everybody!!! I have a very special treat for you today. At long last, it is time for our Carrie Underwood Album Tracks Rankdown!!!! The track list here has been determined the same way that it has been determined for other album tracks rankdowns on Pulse. We have been doing an album series (started by zaclord 🌈 and continued by taylor is terrified ) where we rank all of Carrie's albums, and the songs for this Rankdown have been chosen based on how they performed in the album rankdowns! I have selected the top 5 highest-placing album tracks from each album (plus treating My Gift/ My Savior as one era with a combined 5 songs between them). So, for the fans of certain songs who are like "why isn't __________ here!", that is because it didn't make the threshold. You can think of this as a tournament, where they were "eliminated" in the album rankdown because they didn't rank highly enough! Pulse already decided what her best album tracks were from the individual albums, so now this is just the chance for those already-determined best tracks to face off against each other in one place! I'm just taking the time to explain that because this rankdown is likely to attract people who haven't participated in any album tracks rankdowns before, and I just want you to know that this list is based on data and statistics rather than my own personal whims, lmao. taylor is terrified Oh yeah, thanks! I forgot about that, because I put forth the miniscule effort that it took to go to Amazon and purchase the digital mp3 for 99 cents like a good little fan, so it is in the playlist that I attached, but probably doesn't show up for anyone else

Oh also, for anyone who has never participated in an album track rd before but ends up loving this, I want to use this platform to let you know that there are currently also album tracks rankdowns open for Trisha Yearwood, Pam Tillis, and George Strait's '90s albums! Album track rds are always soooooo much fun, because they're usually super high quality (as you can tell from this Carrie list), but also super unpredictable! So if anyone wants to check any of those out, you are more than welcome to. Trisha closes TOMORROW, Pam needs to be extended but the host hasn't said to when yet, and George closes the week before this one |

Submitted my list. Some thoughts:
1. How dare That's Where It Is get snubbed. I Ain't in Checotah Anymore? Lessons Learned? Over That's Where It Is? Really? I think a redo of the Some Hearts album is necessary to fix this atrocity.
2. I consider myself to be, in general, more of an "early Carrie" fan than a "new Carrie" fan. I tend to lean towards SH and CR era Carrie more so than CP era Carrie. So you'll imagine my surprise when my top 2 songs came out to be from Storyteller and Cry Pretty. I stand by those rankings though.
3. The Christmas/gospel songs were very hard for me to rank. They're still so new, and they're so good yet different from everything else that it was hard to know where exactly to place them. I honestly don't see them doing well here, not because of the song quality but because they are so different from everything else she's done.
4. For being widely considered her weakest album, Play On has a STRONG showing here.

Yeah the Some Hearts album took awhile for me to process. I was THIS close to throwing in "Some Hearts", because it wasn't a single on Country radio. I ultimately decided to cut it, which allowed "Checotah" to be included.
But then seeing "That's Where It Is" and even "Whenever You Remember" miss out just feels so wrong :( We could have gone 7-8 deep on that album. Her debut is easily her most cohesive album front to back.
