This was finally added to Hot Country’s playlist on Spotify, so expect an extreme increase in streaming numbers for this. Maybe it can get the ball rolling to at least secure a top 20 peak. One week after... From the new Spotify worldwide genre chart, this song debuted at #63, which is comparable to top 20 radio hits such as Drunk and Just About Over You.

I personally think Fan voted award shows are the least meaningful because all it takes is a few hundred amount of stans who have nothing to do but worship their favorite artist and just flood the voter box day in and day out. At least CMA and ACM they are voted by a core group of people so there is some level of intrigue and not a popularity contest. That and jessy saying "Oh look after leaving empty handed at the country award show. Gabby wins these imagine that" is kind of being rude to the CMA Award shows since Gabby didn't win at that award show.

Honestly, after all of the politics involved with block voting at the CMAs and ACMs I feel like they are starting to lose their meaning as well. At least with the fan voted ones it's all about the fans; which at the end of the day without them these artist wouldn't have their careers.
I think jessy's statement is out of frustration with the CMAs, because really Gabby should have at least bare minimum taken home New Artist at the CMAs, as it was in a way tone deaf for Jimmy to win because while having a semi decent year, it came nowhere near to Gabby's.

Yeah, the AMA’s are like bottom barrel when it comes to meaningful wins. They can’t even get most of their winners to show up to accept their awards and have to present stuff on TV of people who actually show. Amongst fan-voted awards, i would say the CMT’s matter more, but regardless of voting blocks the prestige goes in the following order - Grammy, CMA, ACM, CMT. Anyone in the industry would likely rank them that way as well

I think fan voted awards mean a little more because fans the ones who buy the music. But concert tickets chose the winner. Without fans you don’t have a career in music.

I’d love there to be an award show that wasn’t fan voted, but also was able to avoid block voting. Would be very interested in seeing who’d come out as not only the winners but the nominees as well.

Exits the Billboard Country Airplay chart this week.
Given it hasn't pulled in any adds in over a month, I wouldn't be surprised if it's done. If it happens to be done, it's final peak was #48 and it charted for 16 weeks. Failed to crack the Top 50 on Mediabase though.

I hope it's done because it is pretty clear it wasn't gonna do much after failing to get adds for over a month and for a song in the 40s and 50s that is pretty much a death wish imo. I know they just released a Deluxe Album, but it might be wise for the label to just wait until next year with something new as I do think the Goldmine probably has no momentum radio wise if this only barely scrapes the Top 50 on only one of the charts.

I could see "Hall Of Fame" doing well, but I agree that they should wait to promote new material next year. It's probably the best choice since it'll give "I Hope" and "The Good Ones" more time to die down in recurrent play.

I know it was competing for airplay with the first two singles but this is still a massive underperformance. I'm sure the label is going to plan the launch of album number two very very carefully now.

I thought it would at least scrape the Top 40, but given it didn't even crack the Top 50 on Mediabase, I agree it was a massive underperformance. It wasn't doing much on streaming or sales (even with good playlisting and a brief sales discount), so Warner probably thought it wasn't worth pushing for months.

Well knowing this fell off the chart and looking at Luke Combs' audience levels for "Doin' This" at #60, she must've taken quite a hit since she'd need to at least double her current audience to get back to her #48 peak. With the year-end/holiday chart slow-down approaching and this not doing much thus far, the label should definitely just sweep this one under the rug at this point. Let the new deluxe edition hold over fans for the next few months and then strike with something brand new around maybe February or March.

I really wish they would have kept “Pick Me Up” for the next album. It would have been a great lead single.

I think it would've been another #1 hit for her pretty easily. Sounds like such a radio smash, and something a bit different from her first two hits melodically and thematically.

Based on the year end Country Aircheck publication, it looks like they are going to be releasing "Pick Me Up" as a single when the new year starts. They didn't confirm a specific song, but said her new single will be from Goldmine Deluxe, and considering "Pick Me Up" has continued to connect well (still in the top 100 on the iTunes country chart) and streaming decently, it's pretty safe to assume that's the one they are going with.
Thought they would opt for a lead single off a new project, but I adore "Pick Me Up" so I'm not complaining.

I am just not convinced as much that another single from the album will do great because it's following up a complete dud in "Footprints On The Moon". Time will tell, but gut instinct is telling me whatever they release from the deluxe album gets lost in the shuffle next year. I think it will do better than "Footprints" but I wouldn't be shocked if it doesn't do much beyond Top 40/30.

I hope I'm wrong; if it was the lead single off a forthcoming project I think this would do well, but tacked on the end of an album era that doesn't have a lot of momentum left I'm not sure. One thing that puts her at a disadvantage is all of the leading ladies (minus Carrie, at least not confirmed to as of now) will have new singles on the radio in Q1, that it will be competing with for airplay.

I’m really curious how radio will respond to all of the new singles by women at radio during Q1. I personally see them taking to the bigger female artists first (ex. Maren) and then letting the smaller female artists have more of a slower climb (ex. Gabby, Ingrid, Priscilla). Nonetheless, 2022 is shaping up to be a great year for the women in country music.

Even more reason why they should've just kept "Pick Me Up" for album #2. That said, it's connecting well and is one of her best songs to date and 100% sounds like a big country radio smash, so I have a hard time imagining it will suffer the same fate as "Footprints." If it is her next single, I'd honestly just tack it on to her sophomore record and use it as a pseudo lead-off single anyway.

For some reason, I feel like "Pick Me Up" will perform similarly to Ingrid Andress' "Lady Like" where it peaks Top 40 and charts for 20+ weeks. I only feel this way since Gabby is coming off of a single that stalled like Ingrid did with "The Stranger".
