Oh you mean like Japan, the second biggest music industry in the world when they broke streaming records and also were #1 on hot100? Or in India where people only stream bollywood songs but they had best streamed song for weeks? They also are #1 on one of the Global 200. Poeple on twitter get so mad at them for laughing at their haters because they want them to be sad and miserable and here it's not different. But I also realized long time ago, you all not some chart experts you want so bad to be, but the same kind of people I see on twitter under chartdata tweets everyday. And this thing about wanting "western validation". Why you never say this about latino artists signing in english? Or any european artists? Guess what. It's a problem when they sing in english but it's not a problem when they sing in japanese. Because what's the difference between korean and japanese.

Also as long as sales will be part of the hot100 formula it's not manipulation to buy 5M copies of one song. It can be a dick move, I agree. But it's the same as having crazy radio spins (like what Ed Sheeran has). I also agree that it shouldn't be #1 for 5 weeks but like two weeks but it's not up to me to decide the goals. I also agree Dynamite was much bigger song than Butter and had the love of the GP. I think the mistake here was to releasing two similar songs back to back. I hope Permission to dance will be different.

And I'm the evil here but every thread some of you start to talk about BTS and the same topic over and over again and when I don't agree (without any insults, being civil and all that) on something you start to attack.

And that new person can pretend to be army all they want but they are kpop stans cosplaying as army. And not because they don't agree with me. Because I saw the same talk from kpoppies many times.

You have literally decided that i am not an ARMY because the things i say are different than you. How long have you even been an ARMY?

I have been here since 2014. I have two BTS tattoos. I own every album and have traveled for multiple concerts.

I say the things that I say because I have a brain and thoughts and opinions. I have been a music lover in general my whole life. This i feel maybe helps me to be more objective.

Unfortunately ARMY don't seem to get that. Yes, buying music is completely legal and nothing wrong is being done. HOWEVER, that does not mean that it isn't chart manipulation. One person having HUNDREDS of copies of a song is not necessary. That does not make it organic. That is the truth.

I am HAPPY that the boys are happy. That is awesome. But, as people have said, we are failing in radio spins and streams. That is not a bad thing. Fans are listening. Spotify should be held accountable for the fact that 50-60% of our streams were filtered vs others only having 15%. There are issues that need to be addressed.

Just because someone speaks against their position on the top being questionable does not diminish their status as a fan. It means that that person is looking at the whole picture.

ARMy have this hive mind thinking where if someone steps out of line, they're immeadiately ostracised and that is ridiculous.


ETA: for the people tired of this conversation, i am sorry but i hate being told i am not a fan because i have brain and can look beyond a set of goals arbitrarily set by fanbases.

Whatever happens, I just want Blinding Lights to return for one week after the Christmas season to make up for the week it lost when it would have otherwise been the 6th or 7th biggest non-holiday song, as well as tie Sail's non-holiday song record of charting in 4 consecutive years.

I'm just glad the BBMAs were when they were. Otherwise, BL might have lost another week.

Levitating is up there. My favorites though are MEBF, g4u, and KMM. Maybe a hot take, but Rapstar continues to grow on me too. HMs to DL, SYT, Montero, and Telepatia. Good year so far regardless of specific positions.
