You...just proved you are indeed making western stans villains. Literally the thread is about all of the fandoms supporting Louis. No mention, not a single mention of BTS in any of the screenshots, until you (and some, not all, of the people in your fanbase) decided to make it so. Using your insanely stupid logic, I can claim that they're teaming up against Billie Eilish or Usher by supporting a song they're going against. I guess support is only right when it's towards BTS though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The only reason western stans seem to be villains is that again some, not all, of your fandom decides to treat everyone outside of your fanbase as such. And don't go with the "but we're only supporting BTS" card, because if so, where did those accusations of "car washes", "free ice creams", and "Spotify rigged" come from then?

Lastly, far as I can tell, no one here is defending any fanbase of any sort except you. Whom as far as I can tell, is dismissing everything towards Spectrum Pulse with citing irrelevant things literally no one in this forum has done as excuses for doing so.

i just need the people of this board to understand that not all ARMY are so tone deaf.

chart manipulation happens all the time, yes but this run with Butter is so obviously chart manipulation that i do not understand how Army fail to see it.

When you have people collecting thousands a week and funding people to buy 24 copies of the same song, it chart manipulation. Especially because even if they are "screening" every buyer, oftentimes they are the same buyer froms previous weeks or they'll fund someone for 2 sets?

NO ONE needs 48 copies of the same song when you can stream it on youtube or your streaming service of choice.

They keep saying "fans are buying music" and yes they are but it does not mean it is suddenly an organic hit.

Also, not every other fandom is out to get us. Army are just so used to fighting that they can't see clearly anymore. Alot of them are new as well, typically from only the last three years or so.

Anyhow, i just wanted to say this because i am sick of a certain person making us all look bad here.

ETA: what i meant about chart manipulation is that it happens. Lots of groups/artists do it with payola and all the other industry insider things. it happens and that's why billboard takes steps like preventing bundles and things. This is the first tike i've seen actual fans engage in it so hard and yet fail to see what they are doing at the same time. Billboard has a lot they need to tackle and this is one of the problems that needs addressing but not the only one.

Thank you, and yeah, I'm not a hater of the Army or BTS - in fact, I like a few of their songs. Dynamite felt like a breath of fresh air in the pandemic.

It's only the very vocal minority of stans that are annoying. I don't really care that they're manipulating the chart, but it's annoying for them to insist that they're not, lash out at other fanbases, start petty fights, play the victim, and gang up on anyone they perceive as "anti". They're crybullies.

Anyway, Tyler looks like he'll have some solid debuts. I'm curious to see if Bo Burnham will debut considering that his streaming numbers are going up. Plus, we had a TON of great debuts on the bubbling under last week (surf curse, tai verdes), so maybe they'll get a chance.

Also, Tones & I got a second top 40 on the UK Singles Chart ("Fly Away"). I was all but certain she'd be a one hit wonder. I'm curious to see if that song will make an impact in the US.

I get being annoyed by how repetitive the arguments about butter are but it's probably going to be on the mind of a lot of people for a bit, kind of hard to not discuss a song that's been #1 for six weeks and counting

Oh you mean like Japan, the second biggest music industry in the world when they broke streaming records and also were #1 on hot100? Or in India where people only stream bollywood songs but they had best streamed song for weeks? They also are #1 on one of the Global 200. Poeple on twitter get so mad at them for laughing at their haters because they want them to be sad and miserable and here it's not different. But I also realized long time ago, you all not some chart experts you want so bad to be, but the same kind of people I see on twitter under chartdata tweets everyday. And you think I deny armys being toxic. I know some part of the fandom is problematic and goes too far some time. I admit that. But you all will never admit your bias against them and you will never agree they are getting more hate than any artist out there now.
And this thing about wanting "western validation". Why you never say this about latino artists signing in english? Or any european artists? Guess what. Everyone wants to success in the US because it's the biggest music industry in the world. Just like every actor dreams about Hollywood. It's a problem when they sing in english but it's not a problem when they sing in japanese. Because what's the difference between korean and japanese.

Also as long as sales will be part of the hot100 formula it's not manipulation to buy 5M copies of one song. It can be a dick move, I agree. But it's the same as having crazy radio spins (like what Ed Sheeran has). I also agree that it shouldn't be #1 for 5 weeks but like two weeks but it's not up to me to decide the goals. I also agree Dynamite was much bigger song than Butter and had the love of the GP. I think the mistake here was to releasing two similar songs back to back. I hope Permission to dance will be different.

And I'm the evil here but every thread some of you start to talk about BTS and the same topic over and over again and when I don't agree (without any insults, being civil and all that) on something you start to attack.

And that new person can pretend to be army all they want but they are kpop stans cosplaying as army. And not because they don't agree with me. Because I saw the same talk from kpoppies many times.
