I'm assuming it takes longer than a few hrs to get a chart together even though their computers doing most of the work???? How old are you??? How much instant gratification do you need? I know this new generation doesn't want to wait for anything but maybe it would make it more special.... Everything doesn't have to come to you when you click a button.. lol Oh Lord, I'm getting old. lol I just turned 33 today, but I have a very, very short attention span. I could be fine with Sunday at 6 am (as Matthea suggested), but waiting until Monday - when the data could be had on Friday - is completely unnecessary. I remember when the reveal was on Wednesday, and god was that awful. I feel you... You seem very nice and I'm not meaning to hurt feelings or anything. Just jumping into the Drama. lol

If the labels want the info, they'll push Billboard for an earlier release date.
On the other hand, since radio isn't a factor in B200, it could've been released on Fridays years ago - like HITS. I'm just glad they finally aligned the metrics. It was idiotic to misalign.
Guess what's the biggest winner of this switch in 2021? AIWFCIY. Saturday is Xmas Day. While streaming long passed radio as the biggest factor in Xmas, every little bit helps. In this case, two mammoth extra days. Plus with the 26th falling on a Sunday, it's possible several radio stations will keep Xmas format that day and switch on Monday.

And no label wants their chart feats to be announced when the least amount of people are on social media. Which is why it'll remain Monday. It makes zero sense to do it any other way, from a business standpoint, which is what we're talking about here.

I read the rule change as all Hot 100 data is locked in as of Thursday and they are giving themselves 3 days to compile the Hot 100 and other Hot ___ charts and still reveal on Monday So the Hot 100 chart dated 7/17 is for the week ending July 8 Which also means that the Radio Songs chart only covered only four days, given that the previous one had July 4th as its last day.

Incorrect, otherwise the Radio Songs #1 this week wouldnβt even be in the ballpark of 60m, much less almost 80m. 3 days of radio overlap between this and last chart week.

What happened to the days you waited for the mailman to come with your Billboard magazine on a Tues. And then if it came late you were NOT HAPPY! lol There's always the next day I guess... The struggle was real. Then what if your issue came really late and the local record store didn't put theirs on the wall. Do I ask the manager to see the issue or not.... I always knew they had it. lol Times have changed. lol

They should be able to release the charts earlier on Mondays.

From Billboard:
The Hot 100 and genre "Hot" charts will continue to be finalized each Monday, with the Hot 100's top 10 and other chart highlights still to be revealed each Monday afternoon (except for weeks affected by holidays) via the weekly top 10 recap story on billboard.com and social posts, while charts in full will continue to update on billboard.com each Tuesday morning.
Given the above statement, I wouldn't set any expectations of it being any earlier than the varied times they currently post on Mondays. The extra time is probably a welcome relief for them, especially given the recent mishaps and overall complexity of calculations and auditing of sales, etc.

What I meant to say is that the changes in audience where for four days. They just rolled the tracking week this week to include the seven days as mentioned in the article.

They should be able to release the charts earlier on Mondays. They need to have this option during weeks affected by holidays, at the very least. It no longer makes sense to delay a reveal to Tuesday, since that would be more than halfway through the next tracking week.

βAm I The Only Oneβ by Aaron Lewis enters the Billboard Hot 100 chart at #14 this week according to tonightβs Country Aircheck.
My opinion on the song aside - it is super impressive that a country song that is getting little to no radio airplay can enter the Hot 100 in the teens. Walker Hayes is in sorta a similar situation (although I do think country radio will start playing βFancy Likeβ and it will be a top 10 hit on the Billboard Country Airplay chart at some point).
βLil Bitβ is another one that has sold and streamed well but seems to be kinda lagging on country radio.
It will be interesting to see what the next couple years bring in terms of the different ways songs can become hits - especially when it comes to country where radio is so highly valued by labels and has been for so long.

It probably got a second 20 weeks from peaking late
It will likely leave at 40 weeks - i would quit worrying about it until then

#46. MΓ₯neskin - Beggin' (+32) my friend in Europe compared this song to "Despacito" (in terms of being everywhere during summertime) so let's see how much damage it does on the Hot 100. rooting for "I Wanna Be Your Slave" to become a smash too and break onto the US charts.

Only Blinding Lights is legendary. The streaming numbers for Almost Maybes and One Too Many were abysmal, and they should have never been charting this long. I bet neither song would have charted 20 weeks if UGC counted. Iβm glad radio dropped AM, and they need to do the same with OTM.

This attack over radio and sales tactics to keep a song on the chart or on higher positions make it seem like an attempt, whether intentional or unintentional, to turn the Hot 100 into basically a copy of the streaming chart.

We rarely ever see a Rock Band like Maneskin having this kind of success in the Mainstream today. I'm thinking that the "Beggin" cover could probably end up getting pushed to Pop radio, "I Wanna Be Your Slave" is also Streaming and Selling exceptionally well for a Rock Song these days I mean it just entered the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart at #9. Perhaps a Pop radio push for that Song could happen as well assuming that it continues to grow in Popularity.

Perhaps you should write Billboard and find out. I tend to think it will go recurrent at 40 weeks since it was a slow riser and may have been granted an extra 20 weeks. I read once that can happen but canβt prove that here. Perhaps as a suggestion. You should find out?
